Everything’s gonna fall apart, and Red Bull will be shredded next...

Sure, Red Bull will be decent, but with this version of the NASCAR Power Unit, they don't stand a chance against Mercedes-Benz...
General Motors will probably snatch the title before Red Bull Racing or Ford even get close...
Mladen Jergović - again!? in Formula 1 ·

“Five or six years ago, while Mladen and I were running Formula 1, I sat down for a major interview with Bernie Ecclestone at the Esplanade. Out of pure politeness, I mentioned
– 'Mladen sends his regards.'
Bernie just stared at me, confused
– 'Mladen?'
– 'Jergović, he used to work for you.'
– 'Oh, that Mladen. What is that clown up to these days?'
– 'He’s with us now, on TV, acting as a special Formula 1 analyst.'
– 'An F1 analyst??? You guys must be getting desperate.'

He just waved me off and muttered, 'It's always nothing but trouble with Mladen.'

🤣

Given what we know about Bernie, this just shows he knows him pretty well, rather than being some random stranger...😉

Looks like he’s in need of some new windows and doors 🤣🤣🤣

Midway through the month, the decision finally hit my inbox via email: Štetner offered me compensation in the form of PVC window frames and heating oil...

Winter is coming fast, so maybe he actually does need that oil. 😁

Though, given how slow our court system moves, it wouldn't be surprising if the purchase was handled through FINA via a garnishment order. 🤔

Wait, do they even mail them out? 🤷
I haven't seen mine either, but my bank statement shows the IRS actually sent the money back... and it's been almost a month. Seems pretty weird for the paperwork to take that long to arrive.
Then again, why would they dump money into your account if they hadn't processed and approved the return in the first place? 🤷

Mark Torres45 said:I really need some help here! I’ve been recording all our credit card sales as direct deposits into our business checking account since that's where the cash actually lands. But when it came time for our tax filings, the IRS agents called me out. They're insisting that every single cent we ring up through the POS system needs to be booked as cash receipts. Honestly, it makes zero sense to me—why would I call it cash when the money hits our bank account directly? Who's actually in the right here, the tax authorities or me?

Of course they're right...
The whole trick with treating card payments like cash is just so they can claim this massive "surge" in cash collections since they rolled out the new digital reporting system. It makes their project look like a huge win. 😍

Without this little workaround, the whole electronic reporting thing would just be another useless government initiative. But this way? Pure success. 🙏

Once you see it, it's pretty obvious, isn't it? 😁
It's not about whether the money hits the bank or if it's technically cashless—which it obviously is. The logic is all about pumping up those statistics to show a high volume of cash transactions. 😉

Alonso: McLaren could land fourth in the 2016 season

God, that optimism is delusional. Honestly, Red Bull and Ferrari have a better shot at the constructors' title than McLaren does at grabbing even a single point, let alone Williams beating them...
In theory, they might snag a podium, but I’d bet on Haas pulling that off before anyone besides Manor, Sauber, or Renault even stands a chance...

That 2014 season doesn't bother me one bit...
If any seasons actually get under my skin, it's 2005 or 2009—years where my favorites missed out on titles despite having every chance. As for the seasons where my guys never stood a prayer at winning a championship? Don't give me that crap...

Besides, what does that video even matter? 🤷

Nobody is saying Ricciardo hasn't won races in his career; he definitely will again...
But winning a race, or two, or three, isn't the same as taking a title. You need way, way more than that for the big one 🙂

Sure, Ricciardo has that flashy driving style and is definitely among the better F1 drivers, but I don't think he's quite complete or consistent enough to be a champion...
I mean, if he were truly that elite, Kvyat wouldn't have been able to hold his own against him, and he certainly wouldn't be getting thrown off his game by Max, who still acts like an amateur and hasn't grown up enough to be a real F1 driver, let alone anything more.
Still, regardless, that kid Max will probably grab a title in Red Bull before Ricciardo does...

Anyway, regarding Monaco, it’s pretty wild how Hamilton blew a win last year thanks to his own pit wall's stupidity, only to win this year because the rival pit wall messed up 😁
It's the same story with Ricciardo: he picked up wins in his career thanks to luck and Mercedes being idiots, and now he's losing wins because his own pit wall is acting like idiots...
So, that old saying is actually right: what goes around comes around...

Welcome to the club. 😁🤣

Sure, you're slow on the uptake, but better late than never. 🤣
Unlike some other people here, you actually figured this out ten years too late. 😬

P. S. My only issue is that now you're rooting for a guy I'm afraid won't see another title for decades...

The ultra soft doesn't even matter in the Vettel story. What matters is the intermediate vs. wet tire situation right when Vettel switched to inters... and then he got stuck behind Massa 😵
If he had just cleared Massa immediately (which he almost did after exiting the tunnel, but then messed up the chicane and had to give the spot back)
then he would've been dropping 2 seconds or more per lap on Hamilton and the others out on wets without breaking a sweat...
And get this—the gap between Hamilton and Vettel was 18 seconds when Vettel pitted, meaning Hamilton would have had a hell of a time pitting and coming back out ahead of him...
But if Vettel had started cranking out those fast laps, the whole race would've looked totally different. The Bear would probably have jumped on him to cover, and Red Bull would've done an emergency switch to inters too...
In the end, Vettel went for the inters specifically to undercut Hamilton and Rosberg, but before that, he was just stuck in a train behind them...
That’s exactly why they told Rosberg to move out of Hamilton's way—to make sure Vettel didn't overtake both of them because Rosberg was being too slow...

If I remember correctly, ESPN said his race engineer made the call on the ultra soft, not him 🤔
From what I recall, they said he calculated the tires would last at least 50% longer since they'd be driving at least 25% slower and the temperatures were way lower...

neonfox65 said:You're out of your mind. According to you, Ferrari ruins his race every single time.🙂

I told you Ferrari screwed him. 🤔
Ferrari tactics aren't actually the villain this time around... at least not regarding that first pit stop. Sure, they could've jumped on Perez earlier to catch him off guard, but honestly? Taking that risk would’ve probably been a disaster. Can't really blame them for playing it safe.

If anyone's to blame, it’s Vettel. He should've dealt with Massa immediately during that first pit stop. Honestly, I doubt Massa would have even put up a fight if Vettel had just forced the issue.

neonfox65 said:Yeah, I get you. If your golden boy isn't fighting for the win, the whole thing just feels boring. 🙂 But my guy was fighting for that win, and honestly? I was glued to the screen. 👋

What’s even the point of watching NASCAR if you're just staring at those obnoxious yellow flags, VSCs, and an SC right at the start? 😍

Jack Kelly5 said:You’re actually capable of outdoing yourself.
😬

Why? 🤷
It’s not like he had zero chance. He was leading during the intervals, and it's obvious Ferrari had the pace.
Dammit, if he’d just cleared out Massa, Rosberg, and those other snails at full tilt, he would've been glued to Hamilton's bumper and already passed Ricciardo before the guy even hit the pits on fresh tires.
Just look at the pace Ricc was pulling on those fresh intermediates. He caught up to Hamilton so fast, and he didn't even have to brake like Massa did.
I can't believe I'm actually looking at this. Just a link to some mess about Ricciardo. Honestly, my brain hurts just thinking about it.
2016 Monaco Grand Prix Discussion Thread in Formula 1 ·
Hold up...
Ricciardo can cry all he wants, but let's be real: he didn't even put up a decent fight against Hamilton...

Then again, Hamilton definitely wouldn't have been sitting there letting him hang around back there...
They either would've collided or Hamilton would've just blown past him on the track, but there's no way Ricciardo was winning this one, regardless of pit strategy.

Roger Wright94 said:Where did Vettel lose that 3rd place?
Was it during that scrap behind Massa?

I missed the race because my house was crawling with guests.🙂
But I still snuck a look at the live timing.😬
From what I could tell, he didn't just blow his chance at 3rd; he probably threw away a shot at winning, too.🤔

He’s out there claiming he messed up by not getting past Massa and taking the blame himself, rather than blaming the tactics.

Haven't gotten around to watching the replay yet, but honestly, I probably won't...
Judging by how he was stuck behind the SC right from the start, the race looked pretty lively so far.

Quick breakdown:
http://en.mclarenf-1.com/index.php?p...Felipe%20Massa
You can see that once Massa cleared off, he was way faster—maybe 6-7 seconds faster per lap. The big question is whether that was because Massa moved, or if he just found better track conditions...

Still, compared to Hamilton...
http://en.mclarenf-1.com/index.php?p...wis%20Hamilton
he absolutely fell apart while trailing Massa, losing about 15 seconds. In the end, that gap was actually bigger than the deficit he had at the finish line...

mellowtiger83 said:Exactly. Let's just skip to the end of the season and check the standings. When we see that Eddie Irvine absolutely smoked Michael Schumacher one year while driving the exact same car, that should pretty much dismantle your little theories on points and championship logic.

I think one example is plenty. So, me and all the other "idiot" forum users will just go ahead and conclude that Schumacher was the inferior driver and got totally wrecked.

He definitely wrecked him. 🙂🤣
Your comparison is off by a factor of 🤦 x 100...
Eddie didn't even have double the points, and he actually ran twice as many races that season...

Look, you can lie until you're blue in the face, but you'll never beat the fact that Lewis Hamilton got outdone by Jenson Button...
Just like Lojzek fans can't ignore the fact that Lojzek got beaten by Hamilton, Button, and even that Marques guy...
And hey, even I can't argue with the fact that Sebastian Vettel got beaten by Daniel Ricciardo.
We can all sit here yapping until judgment day, but the numbers don't lie.
That doesn't mean Button is a better driver than Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso, but he did beat them on points, plain and simple...
It’s the same as saying Daniel Ricciardo isn't better than Sebastian Vettel, even though he beat him on points. ☕

Comparing Eddie to Michael Schumacher is basically 🤦 squared...
Because Michael didn't even finish half that season, so it has zero relevance to any of these other situations...
