Schizophrenia - General Discussion in Psychology & Therapy ·
silverpilot10 said:Look, people with schizophrenia can act just like someone dealing with depression or being overly emotional. They display all sorts of behaviors characteristic of other conditions; the only real differentiator is that they’re dealing with hallucinations.

Hallucinations aren't a requirement.
What Rosie described is textbook psychosis.

Hallucinations typically surface when a patient is completely unhinged—basically, when too much time has passed without proper treatment.

Me, Altec, Carl Rivera43, William Richardson12, and Anna.

I headed out around 6:30 PM. They stayed behind and haven't checked in yet... probably got distracted by something. 🙂

Paul White80 said:So what's the plan then? I'll show up once Anna is gone and my gas mask finally arrives from eBay. 😁

I guess we'll just grab a coffee together when we're both retired in a few decades. 😁

🙂

Paul White80 won't show up. She thinks Anna might actually eat her alive, plus everyone in those bars smokes indoors anyway.

What, did you honestly think a little pill was going to fix everything in your life? 🙄
Don't go expecting some magic wand that you wave around to make everything suddenly perfect.
Look, we aren't expecting anything here. We’re just asking questions and swapping stories. Hello?🤦

The OP seems to think that having panic attacks while on antidepressants is a contradiction. It's as if they view a panic attack like a bacterial infection you just wipe out with a round of antibiotics.

You all ask questions, yet somehow I'm the one who isn't allowed to answer. Right? 🙂

William Richardson12 said:Pretty pricey, unless you know a spot where a coffee costs less than a $3.25(with milk/cream) 🍿

You can find decent deals in some suburban neighborhood. Though if you stick to downtown, prices are actually reasonable on sites like

Downtown.

It's central to everything.

Sure, let's go with five.

Someone should probably give the mods a heads-up on the timing so they can update the thread title. We don't want any potential new members missing out because they didn't see it.

I’m leaning toward an evening slot.

Forget the coffee, just bring me a beer. 🙂

Carl Rivera43 said:Alright, let's see how this plays out. If we can't lock in at least three for sure, I'd honestly rather just push it to sometime next week. We should have a final call on this by noon tomorrow.

Look, you can't just drop a "we're meeting tomorrow" out of nowhere.
Since I didn't hear a peep about this until tonight, I went ahead and made plans with my friends.

You really need to give us some notice on the date and let the moderators know so they can add the date to the thread title.

I won't be there

Alright, let's aim for Friday.

What time works?

To be honest, I can make Friday work, but Saturday is my first choice.

Just check in with Anna, Lois Kent, Toxa, and the rest of the crew. 🤷

I definitely need to meet William Richardson12 and death-of-art 👍

Come on, people, let's get a date on the calendar 🙂

Friday won't work for me. Saturday would be much better.

They only seem to tolerate me when I stay tucked away in my room acting "normal." The moment I attempt to explain my plans for finding employment, it feels as though they would rather lock me in a basement or temporarily commit me to a mental asylum just so I could be "unstable" enough to satisfy them.

Anyone expecting to find steady work in this economy belongs in an asylum🤣 🤣

Just kidding. No hard feelings.🙂

Has anyone here experienced any memory gaps while taking antidepressants or anti-anxiety meds???

Since starting Lori, I couldn't even remember what I had for lunch yesterday.

It's technically an antiepileptic, but it's prescribed for panic attacks.
