I know she’s going through quite a bit right now... I am just sending all my love and wishing that little one the fastest recovery possible!

Sadly, I dealt with Bell's Palsy when I was six months pregnant, and let me tell you, it was incredibly painful and such a frightening experience to go through... For me, it was pretty severe; I couldn't even close my eye, and my mouth felt like it was being pulled all the way up toward my ear. Since I was pregnant, the doctors wouldn't prescribe any specific medication other than standard pain relievers, so they just advised me to do facial exercises as much as possible. I actually ended up using medical tape to keep my eye closed at night, which wasn't exactly glamorous, but it was totally worth it because everything finally returned to normal within about a month...

I am once again wishing that sweet baby a very speedy recovery! 👍

My first thought was just, thank God my son isn't out roaming the streets at this hour, so I don't have to deal with any of that nonsense. Otherwise, I’d probably be stuck playing the neighborhood night watchman from my window or balcony all night long...

Even my mother-in-law is sporting scrapes on her elbows today after she tripped near the window while waiting for the kids to get home safely. It’s just wild—here in the States, they aren't even supposed to be in bars until 21, though you know half the kids can grab a fake ID for ten bucks and slip right in, and plenty of teenagers are behind the wheel of a car way too early. Honestly, it makes me want to lose my mind! When I look at the big picture of everything going on, I think I seriously need to start preparing myself mentally for the chaos.

To paraphrase a classic line: we are just sliding further into the gutter every single day, in every single sense of the word.

I couldn't agree more! While everyone else is looking at things happening thousands of miles away and wondering what on earth is going on, I’m sitting here genuinely wondering how I’ve managed to stay sane this long, especially with my two daughters growing up in this country.😕

About a year ago, things went totally sideways with his girlfriend from school...apparently, she was at some party...some guys did something to her...she ended up pregnant and dumped him (my son) because she felt bad that he’d be stuck dealing with the consequences through no fault of his own. Naturally, everything just blew up into this massive panic. I sat him down to talk, asking if she’d even spoken to her parents, and he told me she supposedly hadn't. I kept nudging him to try and explain to her that she absolutely had to talk to her mom, especially since there's a baby involved, but she just wouldn't listen. I tried to be really careful when explaining to him that girls that age sometimes make stuff up for all sorts of reasons...but he just snapped at me, saying I always think people are being shady...blah, blah...he didn't want to hear another word about it. Then, out of nowhere, these random guys started threatening him, telling him to stay far away from her or they'd make him pay. He really wanted to stand by her side at first because he believed everything she was saying...only for it to turn out she was lying just so she could dump him for a new guy (thank God that was the worst of it). I spent those days in such a heavy dilemma over what to do. If what she was saying was actually true, I felt this intense weight that I had to step in somehow...luckily, it wasn't long before my boy realized what was actually going on.

Reading this makes me wonder what the future holds. The other day, I was watching the local news here in the States—and honestly, things feel ten times more intense here than back home—about something that happened right in my city.
A girl and a Boy, both only 13, ended a five-month relationship🙄. The girl's mother, furious that her daughter was dumped, threatened the Boy, saying if he didn't get back with her daughter, she'd leak all his private nude photos online to his entire friend group😲😲😲 The Boy and the girl had been exchanging explicit photos over the phone, and now this mother is actually indulging her daughter's blackmail. The Boy eventually told his parents, even threatening self-harm, and it all escalated until the police got involved🙏. 🙏Most likely, we'll see that mother facing a courtroom and potentially jail time🙏
. It’s wild how "advanced" kids are these days (at 13, I didn't even know how to wipe my own nose🤣), but parents are also going way too far by allowing all this craziness. Clearly, it's fine with this mom that her daughter is taking naked photos🙄; if my child ever did that...ugh, I can't even wrap my head around it...the consequences would be
. corrina If I were in your shoes, I would have done exactly what you did. Good luck!👍

That’s absolutely true, though I often find myself reminiscing about how much simpler life felt back when we didn't have the internet or all the chaos that comes along with it! While trouble certainly existed in my hometown growing up, we just weren't dealing with this level of crime, nor were we seeing fifteen-year-olds walking around with weapons or drugs in their hands quite like you see in the news today.😲

My daughter is eleven now, and I’m starting to notice these unmistakable shifts in her personality. Academically, she’s absolutely crushing it—she’s actually two grades ahead of her peers, so I can't say I have any concerns regarding her schoolwork, at least for the moment!
But honestly, things at home are becoming quite a struggle every single day. She gets back from school around 4:00 PM, and by 4:03 PM, her friends are already blowing up her phone. It’s always about homework, after-school activities, or some other social drama, and she becomes so absorbed in that screen that she completely tunes us out. If I try to set a boundary or take the phone away, the tantrums start—usually over chores or something trivial. She’s becoming incredibly lazy, too; she won't lift a finger, and her room is a disaster zone. I swear, her bedroom was more organized when she was five than it is right now! Plus, she’s spending an eternity in the bathroom, showering twice a day and practically living in there.😠 She also has a five-year-old sister who is constantly pestering her, which leads to a lot of screaming and zero patience between them, even though my eldest hasn't even hit full puberty yet.🙂 I find myself wondering what exactly is happening during this developmental stage and what kind of roller coaster we have to look forward to.🤷
She still listens to me eventually, and she’s generally polite, but I can feel the tension escalating daily.😕My husband and I spend so much time trying to talk things through with her, and while she does listen, it feels like twenty minutes later, it's as if we never even spoke. I would love to hear from other moms about how you handled this—what were your strategies? Should I be using discipline or punishments? And when she starts yelling, is it a mistake to yell right back at her?🤷
My husband’s sister actually went eighteen years without having any children, and at one point, she started gaining some weight and just assumed it was part of getting older. However, after a few months, she began feeling this strange, rhythmic pulsing sensation deep in her abdomen 🤣 which prompted her to head straight to her doctor. It turns out she was already five months pregnant! She had been having perfectly regular periods and hadn't noticed even the slightest hint of a pregnancy, yet she ended up giving birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy 😍
Believe me, I truly thought I had it all figured out... twenty-five years of life under my belt, and yet, 😂it turns out I wasn't even close to being prepared for this journey! 😂
It’s just the truth, really, and honestly, maybe they could use a little more of these "wake-up calls" so they think twice before jumping into jobs they aren't actually prepared for!

Goodness, do I sound like a total old lady? Oops!
Nathan Jones6 said:😂 😂 😂 😂 Good grief... I’m actually going to pass out from laughing. Are you trying to give me premature labor? 🤣

Boza !!!! I’m simply laying out the facts here, though I have to admit, watching how incredibly sharp and tech-savvy these kids are today makes me realize they might actually be outsmarting all ten of us "old-timers"!😂😂And when I really sit back and think about it, they truly have some nerve coming at us with that whole "elbow between the knees, then right onto the knees" nonsense!😂😂😂😂
It’s honestly just a matter of her being able to kick those legs up into the air with her knees tucked tight towards her chest!😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly, what else can you even say to her when she asks for advice? It’s just one of those things where you look at how much energy youth brings to the table... 😉

I mean, if I actually offered up my patent, I might finally strike it rich! 😂😂😂 Imagine if I could figure out a way to make those high-end designer sandals fly off the shelves! 😂😂
If you find yourself without any condoms, just tuck an extra towel between your knees... and hold on tight so nothing slips out!😂😂
I wanted to pop in here with a quick question... what are your thoughts on the First Response pregnancy test? I'm actually headed out to pick some up right now, though I can't quite remember if I've ever used that specific brand before!
Oh, they say getting pregnant is just that easy sometimes...

So, Mark says it’s a sure thing! I was reading his messages where he mentioned you two were together on Friday, and since today is already Sunday, he’s absolutely convinced it happened—because Friday is basically the lucky day for making magic happen!😂😂🤣🤣
Scott Smith68, please don't start causing a panic here! She’s going to absolutely lose her mind if she doesn't get her hands on it soon...

And honestly, let her just take it as a learning experience for next time!!!
James Cox6 said:So you're pregnant—with twins, no less...🙂

Well, hey there, Larka!🙂)))))
Sarah Cox3 said:I feel like I get it all... I understand everything that's happening, but my head is just spinning. I honestly don't even know what to do anymore. This all started on Friday, and now it's Sunday—I don't think I have the nerves to wait another ten days. I am almost certain I'm Truman, but I just need that official confirmation. It’s so frustrating; women who are desperately trying to conceive can't seem to make it happen, while those who aren't looking for it seem to know they're pregnant from their very first time. If I head to the gynecologist this week, will they be able to tell for sure if I'm pregnant or not?

Oh honey, where would you even go for that? What on earth are they going to see during a quick checkup??
Just take a deep breath and try not to overthink it, because I promise everything is going to be just fine... you can't rush the process like this!🤣
