I’d personally advocate for a minimum of two years of preschool specifically designed for kids who aren't fluent in English yet, while ensuring all other American child welfare laws are strictly followed.
Of course we were learning multiplication tables in second grade, right? In third grade, using Cyrillic. That fact alone is enough to make all those complaints about having too much to learn seem completely ridiculous. It’s not that there’s too much, it’s just poorly taught.😁
I don't think it's fair to complain about how demanding school is, since the whole approach has just changed. From what I can see, there's less focus on memorizing raw facts or covering massive amounts of material, but instead, there's a much bigger emphasis on things like presentations, lab experiments, and having to hunt down data from multiple sources to draw conclusions. Ideally, all of this would be designed in a way that actually makes sense for kids. The perennial issue with our American textbooks is that the language is totally disconnected from how kids actually speak—especially those who aren't big readers—and that's made worse by terrible layouts where you get lost in a sea of clouds, clip art, and comics. Back in my day, we had dry, straightforward text, but honestly, it was much easier to pull the actual information out of it.
Unfortunately, they're still teaching a lot of useless trivia, and the subjects feel completely disconnected. For example, in geography, they might learn about certain regional climates right before the holidays, only to have science class cover the exact same thing months later. It feels pretty redundant.
This is all great, it shows he really gets how tough things are with her 😂 All jokes aside, I don't know about you guys, but I always knew I was impossible. I used to get annoyed with my mom whether she was talking too much in the morning or just staying quiet. 😁 I didn't really care at the time, but looking back, it was obvious that my poor mom couldn't do anything right without it being blamed on her. 😂
Even if you're doing light bike rides, ten minutes of badminton, or just strolling through the neighborhood, it's really no substitute for five 90-minute training sessions per week.
mine is probably a bit too big to handle all those things you mentioned are just for fun. It's recreation. It’s something you do on top of your actual training, not instead of
I don't know, she hangs out with her friends just like anyone else. They have sleepovers, walk around the neighborhood, and just act like totally normal kids. Luckily, she's still too young for bars, clubs, or concerts, so she doesn't realize what she's missing out on. Aside from training, which is happening at the absolute worst time for her physical development, I guess I'll have to come up with a plan—she’s already bugging me to take her to the gym with me.
My interest in skating is back, all thanks to Max from Stranger Things 😁 Luckily, I stumbled upon some great music there too—it’s such a chill series 😂
this is actually great 😁 I honestly thought they were into Billie Eilish, but this track is such a vibe 😁 just play them "She Past Away" or "Boy Harsher" and you'll definitely be cooler than her 😂
I find some really great music on YouTube, everything from old classics to new releases, it's all good 🙏 but the mood swings are just intense; I honestly feel bad for her sometimes seeing how she gets treated. It looks like things are spiraling downward, and I honestly think next year is going to be a critical turning point 😂
What about those other options? Like sports or tourism... I’m completely out of the loop when it comes to high schools, so I'm pretty clueless on both counts. 😂
A BBC documentary said:Wait for their results and then sit down with everyone else to put together a ranking list. Some organizations just don't get it. ..
Reading this thread, I can't help but wonder—is there actually any logical reason why they can't just delay college admissions? They should just set the enrollment for September and combine two graduation cycles so everyone gets a fair shot.
We just got the schedule sent over via email, showing all the start and end times. My little one weighed her books on the scale—no notebooks, backpack, sneakers, or anything else included—and they came in at about 14 pounds.
