It is probably because during those two weeks, they accumulate a mountain of "brilliant" ideas they feel compelled to dump on everyone else.🍿
Honestly, yeah—I’d definitely agree that it could be quite a shock to someone's mental state, though I’m not entirely sure why anyone would find that surprising. Humans are social creatures by nature, after all, and we really do need that regular connection with others to stay grounded.
Grace Foster37 said:thanks, I just did some digging online about it myself. I had no idea it was going to be that pricey—honestly, whatever, we'll just wait until the snow starts falling. Hopefully things turn around...
They actually dropped the ticket prices after everyone started complaining... Thank God, because seriously, what kind of person would pay those crazy rates just to hit those two trails up there? $67 😲
Personally, I’d suggest checking out Jelakovica—I know, it’s a bit of a drive from downtown, but honestly, it's totally worth the trip... She is 👍 👍 👍 —I mean, I don't think there are any gynecologists with gentler hands in this entire country, period 😁. Plus, she actually takes the time to walk you through everything and explain things clearly; it's such a relief compared to those clinics over by the public hospitals where you basically have to interrogate a grumpy nurse or doctor just to get three basic pieces of information 🙄... My only real hesitation is whether she's currently accepting new patients, though I'm guessing she probably is...
Yeah, they’re decent enough, I guess—but honestly, there are probably a thousand other bands out there right now riding that exact same wave... and they all end up sounding pretty much like "just another one of the crowd."
To me reminds me of Kierkegaard and his whole take on anxiety—that idea that anxiety is actually just the dread we feel when faced with the sheer weight of our own freedom and all those open possibilities.
I’m right there with him, and honestly, I feel the same way about Jean-Paul Sartre, too. When you realize how much freedom you actually have, you realize how much responsibility comes with it—the weight of every single choice you make, whether it turns out to be a brilliant move or a total disaster. I suspect most people's fear is really just a fear of making those wrong calls.

That said, investing in yoga is totally worth it. My only advice? Definitely do your homework on the specific style they’re offering, because there’s a massive variety out there. If you're looking for something purely aerobic, power yoga is fantastic. It’s all about the physical conditioning and is loosely based on Ashtanga (which is my absolute favorite), though it strips away those ancient, rigid details to give you more freedom with the poses and the flow.
Does anyone know if they teach Ashtanga yoga anywhere in Washington, D.C.?
I actually checked out a studio there once, and honestly, it felt way too expensive for me.
I definitely agree regarding the health aspect, but if you’re a student $67 that monthly fee can be a bit much to swallow. In my case, the class I took was actually Hatha yoga.
