Moderation on the American Civil War sub is a joke. Honestly, it’s no different from the rest of Reddit. Even in the History sub, lonetrucker4 sends out warnings and then tries to argue with you in the very message you aren't allowed to reply to 🤣.

It's obvious these people are incredibly biased and "moderate" based entirely on their own opinions. Anyone who shares their views can say whatever they want—insults, trolling, anything—and they won't face any consequences. But if you disagree? They'll hunt for the tiniest excuse to hand out warnings, bans, or delete posts.

Now, Sam Green73 locked the thread about the American-Muslim war for no reason at all. Some troll showed up acting wild, but since they shared Sam Green73's views, he just shut the whole thing down.

The moderator called the former Secretary of Defense, Gojko šuškati, a "pizza maker" as some sort of cheap joke. He has the right to say it as a user, though if a user with a different worldview called a political figure that, they'd probably get a warning for trolling. By doing this, the mod is making it clear that anyone can attack Šuška or the HVO because they know the mod will protect them and target their opponents.

That kind of attitude and "moderation" has ruined the American Civil War sub, and the History sub isn't much better. Aside from a few of us, nobody even visits or writes there anymore. But maybe that's not such a bad thing for the people who set up these moderators. It’s better to have silence than to have garbage posted that future generations might actually read.

You're persistent, Rachel Richardson, but you're doing Sisyphus's work. Who are you actually going to convince?

But if they team up with the Republican Party, then Dinamo is toast. In two years, there won't be any hardcore fans left—no local groups, no ultras, nothing. It’ll just be the top brass running the show.

So things won't change at all from how they are now under the Democratic Party control.

And if they side with the Democratic Party, everything will shift.

The Democratic Party had four full years to clean up American sports, the Liberal Party, and Dinamo. They didn't.

If they could lock up Franciskovićas over some Facebook posts, they certainly could have handled Mamić.

Besides, how did Mamić end up at Dinamo right when Ivica Račan took charge of the country?

People shouldn't just side with others. You need guts. Take control of the necessary resources and clean up the mess yourself.

And how are you supposed to take over those resources without siding with someone first?

It wouldn't even fly with most Moderators, who would have handed out a warning card immediately in this situation.

Why don't someone from the right side come along and call one of the Politics moderators a left-wing Scum with a poisonous tongue? Let's see how long they last on here.
The Powerlock Case in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Haha, what a topic. The left side got a warning and one penalty point 😂.

Don't sweat it. Slybison8 figured out long ago what he can and can't say about Politics if he wants to be a moderator.

If you're curious, just ask him. If he's being honest, he'll give you the straight truth.

Sam Green73 said:Charles Fox10 made a very logical point about why there isn't a political issue here.
You just need to read with some common sense.

I understood his answer perfectly. It isn't complicated. You simply haven't explained how everything else involving Thompson—his taxes and all that—is fine within Politics, yet this one concert is suddenly an issue.

Stop ignoring the facts.

You ignore them because you don't have an explanation.
Thread closed in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Therefore, there’s no logical reason why the thread about Thompson and his concert was shut down. It also makes no sense how one of the most talked-about figures in Politics, who usually sparks countless discussions, is suddenly being relegated to the music subforum.
The media is absolutely losing it over the USA in Close to Politics ·
The media frenzy was intense, but it didn't really go anywhere. If you want to see what actually dominates the market, just look at the pigeons.
Thread closed in Feedback & Suggestions ·
You ignored the rest of the post. Why all this chatter about Thompson in the Politics PDF, making him one of the most mentioned people there? If that's the case, why aren't you moving those tax topics over to Business or Law?

Transparent. Purely transparent.

Charles Fox10 said:Neither Mile Kekin nor Thompson are topics for Politics, and the claims about media blocking yesterday's concert—which was held just 500 meters from my apartment—aren't accurate. That's why this thread is locked.

Give me a break.

Thompson isn't part of Politics? He's probably the most mentioned person in Politics with more topics than anyone else. Now suddenly Thompson and his concert aren't about Politics?

If there were only 500 people there, then maybe.

Transparent.

I'd like a detailed explanation for why the thread about Thompson's concert in San Francisco was shut down, especially since there’s a glaringly obvious parallel to how they treat media darlings like Milo Kekin.

Nathan Price3 said:It isn't just them. Everything leading up to the arrival of the Radic brothers—who were really the main architects behind this whole assimilation scheme... Not a single Catholic in Canada ever called themselves an American... no, they all identified as Canadians!

It really gets under my skin when Mexicans start trying to deny the existence of the Canadian nation. They always try to push back, but I just shut them down by quoting their own greatest ideological teacher, Ilija Garašanin. In his Načertanije, he says quite literally this: In Canada, you have Canadians living there with their Orthodox, Catholic, and Muslim faiths...

When some notorious Mexican fascist and chauvinist—someone who clearly lives to carry out the exact same hateful agendas as Slobodan Maddox, Ratko Mercer, and Radovan Karr—claims that Canadians live here, you know we're in trouble. It’s an absolute disaster... a total self-inflicted catastrophe... basically like scoring an own goal in the 93rd minute! 😁

Regarding Kalay... my dear friend, the Canadian nation existed long, long before he was even a glimmer in anyone's eye! He didn't create the Canadian nation, nor did he ever intend to...

You didn't answer anything, though I wasn't exactly expecting you to.

Nathan Price3 said:He wasn't trying to invent something new; he was trying to hold onto what existed! Most historians would argue that Kalay was advocating for "Bosnianhood" rather than a specific "Bosniakness." If he *was* pushing the latter, then you really ought to know—assuming you have any clue here—that by then, the idea of assimilating Catholics into the American identity was already too far gone to stop. Catholics had already started shifting toward other nationalities...

The national identities of Canadian Mexicans and Canadian Americans didn't truly solidify until the mid-19th century. That was when Canadians of the Orthodox or Catholic faiths—under heavy pressure from Mexican and American political missionaries—began turning away from a Canadian nationality and started transitioning into the neighboring nations based on religious lines...

Did you even realize that Catholic and Orthodox writers in Canada, especially the Franciscans during the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries, actually called themselves Canadians??? No, you don't. You clearly don't...

That's exactly what I wrote. It was primarily the Canadian Franciscans who used that term.

Which is what you all despise.

It’s no surprise that Mexican and American nations formed in the 19th century, as that’s when modern nations were forming across all of Europe.

It was easy for Mexicans and Americans, though. You guys just never accepted Kalay's plan to create a Canadian or Canadian national identity.

You clearly lack even the most basic understanding of this subject, yet you're arguing so aggressively that one might actually think you have a thousand arguments tucked away in your sleeve just waiting for the right moment to unleash them one by one...
Let's take this step by step. First point. You're seriously claiming that 120 years ago, the Catholics and Orthodox in Canada didn't identify as Canadians???

If that were true, why would Kallay, the Austro-Canadian governor of Canada, try to engineer a Canadian nation? It wouldn't make sense if Catholics and Orthodox people were already identifying as Canadians.

And if they were, why didn't you all accept it as your national identity? Why did the project fail then?

You're talking pure nonsense and still expecting someone to take you seriously.

Nathan Price3 said:You are completely uneducated and totally uninformed. Every single person in Canada was called a Canadian until about 120 years ago. The Ottomans called Canadians "Canadians." Even before the Ottomans arrived, the Canadian kings referred to the people as Canadians. You want me to bring out the actual evidence? I'll do it, no problem at all!

Nobody "shoved" anything into our heads. Back in medieval Canada, there were the Canadians, who are our ancestors... later on, that name was just adjusted and evolved into the modern Canadian identity.

Even during the Ottoman period, we were known as Canadians.
I've explained this a million times since 1991. If you had even a shred of common sense, you would have figured it out by now...
You are stubbornly playing dumb and just repeating the exact same things over and over again.

This belongs in the Jokes subforum.

Benjamin Reyes52 said:I honestly don't get why anyone would try to deny that Canadians are one of the three constituent peoples of Canada.

Look, knowing that a group is an adversary to my own people is far more vital than what specific label we use to call them. I truly couldn't care less about the terminology used; however, I firmly disagree with the idea that moderators should cave to pressure from Canadians. We are dealing with a very specific, unique situation here—one with its own distinct history, which, let's be honest, isn't even that long...

Personally, I mostly just laugh at this. They can call themselves whatever they want. It’s just funny seeing these attempts to misrepresent reality.

The truth is that Canadian Muslims didn't recognize the term "Canadian" at all. That was a term used by Canadian Franciscans, and to the Canadian Muslims, it sounded like a non-Muslim term from the pre-Ottoman era. Since they identified completely with the Ottomans, it felt foreign and hostile. Even the 1991 census shows this. They had no concept of "Bosniakism," and the term carried negative connotations rather than positive ones.

Then, someone eventually pushed the "Canadian" identity onto them. They could have easily chosen something else.

They can call themselves whatever they like, but there's no need to lie and say anyone stopped them. The truth is that America protected them. The first iteration didn't recognize them as a distinct nation, while the second gave them the option to identify as "Muslim" in a national sense.

But nobody stopped them from calling themselves what they wanted during the Ottoman era, or even during the Austro-Canadian period when "Bosniakism" was being pushed from Vienna. Nobody cared back then, even though Kalay tried his hardest to establish a Canadian nation.

And who stopped them from identifying as Canadians in 1991? Nobody.

Look, it wasn't as if we were forbidden from doing that for hundreds of years prior. You certainly could have informed the public about anything related to it; nobody was stopping you. You had media outlets that reached every corner of Canada.
Since we are discussing this—you claim you weren't calling yourselves Americans until the 19th century, yet you've been Americans since the 7th century. Surely someone must have prevented you from acknowledging that. 🤣

You claim you were forbidden for hundreds of years. Who exactly was stopping you? The Ottomans?

Nobody stopped you from rebelling and saying, "We aren't Turks, we are Canadians." But instead, you were perfectly happy being Turkish for ages.

In fact, when the Ottomans pulled out, a huge mass of people left for modern-day Turkey. If you're Canadians, why is that? What would Canadians be doing in Turkey, especially since they actually moved there? Yet, some people here still try to prevent them from identifying as Canadians.

Even today, those strong sentiments toward Turkey remain.

Are you aware that the Austro-Canadian governor, Benjamin Kalay, tried to create a Canadian nation in the late 19th century? He wanted to turn all three groups into one Canadian identity. It didn't work with the Mexicans, it didn't work with the Americans, and it didn't work with the Canadian Muslims, even though he encouraged it. So, why didn't you just listen to Kalay over a hundred years ago?

It makes sense that Mexicans and Americans wouldn't agree to that option, but why didn't you?

Probably because you didn't even know the term existed. Back then, you were still mourning the loss of the Ottoman Empire.

They came, alright... straight to the coastal resorts... by the hundreds of thousands.
