I think I saw some girl mention somewhere deep in these threads that she found a cheaper way for $1.25... basically, just buy the tape and make them yourself. It shouldn't be that hard, honestly. It’s definitely going to cost less than dropping cash on 200 pieces at $1.25... plus, if you DIY it, you can actually play around with the colors, patterns, and sizes however you want.

They're pretty basic, honestly, but they'd be perfect for my ride. Since I don't have a massive trunk, having one or maybe two smaller mirrors hanging off the rearview would actually be pretty sweet...
I was just scrolling through their site and they even have those little decorative bows for cars—exactly what I’ve been hunting for... Honestly, what can I even say besides thanks a million.
I checked the Subway but didn't see anything. To be honest, I wasn't even really looking—I just glanced while passing by. Maybe I missed the wrong shelf or something... where exactly in the Harbor? If you remember, please let me know...
Quick question. Where can I grab some cookie tins? I need about 15 of them for these treats we made—we’re planning to pass them out to the neighbors and family so we don't have to deal with passing around plates and bowls... just looking for something basic, though those ribbed brown ones look pretty good. If anyone knows where to find them, let me know.
Harold Miller24 said:It’s definitely a challenge. Getting that "perfect," smooth, plastic-looking finish is tough—at least from what I've seen with local bakery pros. But I've heard nothing but great things about that small boutique cookie shop, so I bet you'll nail it! Good luck!
Man, Harold, I feel a bit better now. Honestly, it helps hearing someone else say it... I'm just glad we finally connected right as she was finishing an identical cake to the one I wanted. Seeing it in person helped so much. Plus, the lady is just so sweet. Funny story, though—about 8 months ago, I went to put down a deposit, but she told me there was no rush. Then I call her back a few weeks ago and she’s like, "Girl, you sound so serious now, you don't even need to worry." 🤣Turns out we even have some mutual friends in common...

Shoot me a DM if you want the real scoop. We grabbed a kilo for a tasting about three weeks before our big day. Just a heads-up: this isn't some local bakery where you can just walk in and grab a dozen cupcakes. They specialize strictly in weddings and high-end events. Mia gave them a call to see if they’d let us sample the goods, and the lady on the phone was totally cool about it—said she's booked for weddings almost every weekend but would carve out a kilo for us. Honestly, the desserts were killer, and they even offered to whip up a few specific varieties that weren't on the standard menu. Obviously, taste is subjective, but we loved them. If this helps anyone out, great.
Hey Jesse Ross11, you pretty much nailed my cake description... except I can't quite remember what those layers actually tasted like. Either way, it's not exactly rocket science to pull something like that off.
Just wanted to weigh in with my two cents regarding the desserts... We ended up getting our cake and sweets from the Small House, USA over in Oakwood. The cake is basically a dead ringer for the one David Torres5 posted—the one in the bottom row on the left. It’s made of three layers stacked slightly offset, and since everything we do here tends to favor earth tones, the cake follows suit: beige with chocolate brown edges. It's hard to describe, but I saw it in an ad in one of those wedding magazines where they actually had a whole feature on cakes, and this was the exact model they used. A cake for 120 people set me back $400 and the pastries were $20/kg. They were delicious, honestly. I found them through that magazine ad, but it turns out a few of my buddies have been buying their sweets there for years and gave me a glowing recommendation. When I went in to finalize everything (which happened to be a Saturday afternoon), they had the exact same cake sitting right there on the counter... so I knew exactly what I was getting. That's my take so far. Oh, and the owner is super sweet and easy to deal with...🙂
Look, Meli... I’ve been grabbing treats from them whenever my partner and I have a sweet tooth, and they’re always FANTASTIC. Even at my office, we often order their cakes and pastries for birthdays, parties, or big presentations since they're right around the corner from us. We’ve got about 50 people in our crew, and everyone’s been stoked so far. If their bulk cookies aren't too pricey—say around $100-$35 per pound—I’d honestly grab them for a wedding because they’re just that good. Also, their strawberry cheesecake? Hands down the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Period. That’s just my take on them.
The restaurant told us the standard is about 7 ounces per person, so for a crowd of 120, they suggested we aim for somewhere between 55 and 65 pounds. That’s not even counting those little dessert boxes we're handing out.
