Stop bragging about your annual bonus, seriously. You're starting to get on my nerves 😁
Just kidding 😉
I’m going to—hopefully, if all goes according to plan, if I even feel like it, if I can manage it... catch the end of the July run and grab the first one in August.
I’ve finally decided there’s no point stressing over the tax code; I’m just going to stop worrying about calculating my net pay for the time being ☕
Charles Stewart69 said:I just gotta take a second to give a massive shout-out to Miss Lili for how she’s been handling the site layout lately. Honestly, I think she’s absolutely killing it—everything from the constant updates to the whole theme design is just top-tier stuff... seriously, stellar work. Keep doing your thing, Lili! 👍
Well, Charles Stewart69, look at you showing up just to drop a compliment like that... I'm honestly speechless. 😍
What do you think—did he actually come back? I mean, how long did that whole ordeal even last... what, three days of pure hell? Private investors are just masochists at this point 🤣
So, did everyone actually manage to get some decent rest before heading back to the grind tomorrow? 🙂 To those of you currently out on vacation, enjoy the downtime and the good weather... though I guess it’s a bit easy to relax when the rest of us are stuck holding down the fort. 😢
It’s not a big deal to operate in a different state, but you specifically asked about launching a small business in a state where you'll be renting space from someone else.
Sandra Ruiz2 said:Quick question for the group—what kind of regulations are we looking at if someone wants to start a small business (one that doesn't actually require a dedicated storefront) in a different state? In this scenario, they'd end up needing to rent some space from a sublessor in that area.
Look, you need to provide more context when asking questions if you want an answer tailored to your specific situation.😉
Whether or not you should register for Sales Tax depends on two things: whether you're planning heavy upfront investments in equipment (if so, registering is usually worth it so you can claim those credits) and whether your primary clients are corporations or individuals. Sales Tax makes you significantly more expensive for everyday consumers, whereas for most companies, it’s basically a wash. Of course, that assumes the companies you're dealing with are also registered for Sales Tax.
For a service priced at $0.33, there’s an additional $77 in Sales Tax, bringing the total cost to the customer to $410. If the client is a corporation registered for Sales Tax, they get a credit for that $77, so they don't really care if you're part of the system or not. If you aren't registered for Sales Tax, the customer just pays $333.
I’m heading out for a stroll to soak up some sun, and I might even grab takeout so I can skip cooking. Honestly, the plan for today is to just enjoy myself and do absolutely nothing productive. 😍
TV has been absolute garbage lately. There’s nothing worth watching. Luckily, we still have 🤣Reddit . Just another hour and a half, just another hour and a half, just another hour and a half...
Of course, I go through the exact same ritual every single year—it’s always the same old broken record about how things will be different this time, how I'll finally get my act together and stay on schedule... That bit of self-delusion usually lasts until about January 10th. After that, I just look at the reality of the situation and realize what I was thinking. 😬
I told you once before, when one of us shows up, the rest will follow too. 😉
How exactly do you think they manage to penalize every single post that mentions work life? Where else are we supposed to go to complain about impossible working conditions, peanuts for salaries, and clients from hell? We need a place to vent all this frustration, even if it's just here in this chat. 😬
Timothy Morgan38, quit playing the martyr. If you keep acting like you're struggling, people are going to think you're actually broke, when really you're pulling in such a massive paycheck you're almost embarrassed to admit it 😉
