How to get an accurate prescription? in Health ·
I have two different pairs of glasses at home, and I can never get a straight answer about my vision.
Basically, my prescription is different for each eye, and the last doctor I saw actually suggested I shouldn't even bother with glasses because the correction is too minor...

I’m looking for some advice—where can I go for a thorough, high-quality eye exam?
Has anyone here had experience with the General Electric clinic?
I'd like to schedule a full checkup.

Thanks
Charles Ramirez59 said:Well, you can grab some tests for about thirty bucks at CVS 🙂

Being totally new to all of this, I walked into the pharmacy and asked for the most reliable early detection test. The clerk recommended a Victoria's Secret brand one that cost $20, but I had no idea there were options for only $10....

But honestly, it doesn't even matter because I've had so many expenses lately that I don't have a single cent left from my last paycheck.. 😬

So back then, $10 it was just out of the question🙂

Where is that paycheck...????!!!! It's already the end of the month 🙂
hiddenscout362 said:Funny enough, the same thing happens to me right after testing! Hmm, maybe I should grab a test tomorrow and see if mine starts then too... 😛

That would be a smart move. If you think there's a chance you're pregnant, there really could be...

God works in mysterious ways 😍

Just kidding, but please take a test for your own peace of mind. I have no idea why I kept putting mine off... (well, mostly because I was waiting for my paycheck 😂) but still...
velvetmarlin26 said:I’m inclined to agree. Unfortunately, my OB-GYN doesn't see it that way. Given that my last two pregnancies both ran at least two weeks long, he’s likely correct—though I certainly wish he weren't. I've been dealing with nausea; actually, it feels more like motion sickness.

So, ladies, 🙂
after dealing with the paranoia of my period being six days late, noticing changes in my skin tone and nipples, running a slight fever, and feeling constantly under the weather... I decided to buy a test.

I took it this morning and it came back negative. 😍
Just an hour later, without any warning at all, my period arrived. 😬

The mind really plays tricks on you, doesn't it?
Thanks to everyone for the advice. Much appreciated.
velvetmarlin26 said:So you don't have any kids? Then go ahead and try it once you get pregnant.
You can't honestly tell me you don't see the difference.

I actually checked as soon as I finished reading your post...
and now I'm unsure how things looked before...🙂

I think it looks a bit reddish, but I can't say for sure if I'm pregnant.🙂

I bought a test, but I'm waiting until the weekend to see if my period arrives first...

I'll take the test Saturday morning.
velvetmarlin26 said:Right. My cycles were irregular too. At one point, I didn't even bother worrying about it. Then, I finally decided to get things back on track. I made a serious appointment with my OB-GYN. I sat down on that exam table, and before he even really looked at me, he just called out from across the room—you're pregnant. After the exam, he confirmed it was 12 weeks.

I came home and I’ll never forget how much the color of my discharge had changed. Since then, I haven't needed to take another pregnancy test.😉

I'm not familiar with that change...
how does the color change?
let me take a look?
🙂 please....
hiddenscout362 said:honestly, mine shouldn't be arriving until the end of the month

Honestly, given how unpredictable things have been lately, my cycle is completely irregular anyway, so there's really no telling when it might arrive...
Please keep us posted (especially me, 🙂). I really hope everything comes through for you...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 🙂
hiddenscout362 said:I haven't done anything yet. I'm going to wait until the end of the month since that's when my period should show up... hopefully. 😬 God, I really love playing these games... 😲

Mine hasn't arrived yet. It's four days late, but since it was also four days late last month, I'm feeling a bit uncertain...

I'm actually quite nervous, though; I have a strong feeling it's coming...
I haven't bought a test yet because I'm waiting for my salary to clear...

How about you, hiddenscout362? Did yours arrive?
Alex White6 said:I don't want to scare you, but so many women thought they were finally getting their period... and then they weren't (unless they decided to call the baby a little Microsoft 😬 )

😲 😲 I'm definitely going to get her... I'm the exception to the rule. 😬
hiddenscout362 said:😂

I don't want it either! I'm supposed to be getting my period at the end of the month, but I already had a heavy discharge back on September 7th... 😲

Oh boy, you're really in a tough spot then.

I haven't read the previous posts—have you taken a test yet? If you have, what's the plan?

I usually wait two days at most, and if my period still hasn't arrived, I go grab a test...

But honestly, I think I'll be fine. It's just not my time to have a baby yet.😉

She might have been lying,😬
but please, honestly, that sounds absolutely terrible.👎
Charles Ramirez59 said:Pre-ejaculate still carries sperm. Theoretically, you only need one...

But practically speaking, you’d need millions of them.😬

😂 I'm not pregnant, though I don't know the technical term for what I'm experiencing. 😬

My partner's pre-ejaculate is completely clear, so there aren't any visible signs of white fluid or anything. 😂 (Just some logic to help me stay calm right now.)

P.S. I have a breakout on my chin, my skin isn't glowing (like a pregnant woman's would), I feel terrible, and I'm feeling pretty nervous. I think my period is coming, even if I don't have the usual symptoms, because once 😳that chin pimple shows up, 😎it's happening for sure.
Charles Ramirez59 said:It’s technically possible. Very much so. But in practice, it's a lot easier when you have some extra help from spermicide 😉

Thanks, I think you've really put my mind at ease.🙂

It doesn't seem logical to me since pre-ejaculate is just a clear fluid and there isn't much of it... but then again, you can never be certain.

I've never heard of anyone getting pregnant from just pre-ejaculate... that's why I was asking if it was even a possibility, but thanks for the answer. Based on what you said, the probability is extremely low.

We'll just have to see if I happen to fall into that tiny statistical group.😳
hiddenscout362 said:It definitely is! And I've heard from plenty of women that they dealt with a low-grade fever in the early stages too.
Here's an example from back in college—one girl was on the pill for five years, stopped for just two days, and ended up pregnant... 😘

I've definitely heard those stories about those damn pills and how people become fertile as hell the moment they quit, but we were being incredibly careful...

He hasn't even finished inside me once; honestly, it’s just the foreplay that’s been the issue for me....
Is that actually possible in theory?

😘 To you,🙂
But if there's any truth to it, it doesn't sit well with me, and I really don't want that happening right now....

Anyway, how about you? Did your period arrive?
I’m running into the same issue where I can't keep up with all the pages, but I have one specific question...

Basically, I stopped taking birth control three months ago. I had been on it consistently for years before deciding to take a break. My partner and I were using condoms, but they were becoming quite uncomfortable, so we started having unprotected sex instead.

Is it possible to get pregnant from pre-ejaculate? He hasn't actually finished inside me, but I need to know if that's a real possibility.

Also, my period should arrive in about 3 or 4 days, but I’m not experiencing any typical symptoms. Instead, I've been feeling constant nausea throughout the day—not just in the morning—and I have a slight fever of about 99.1°F.😁

Could this be happening? I know the immediate advice will be to go buy a pregnancy test, but I would really appreciate any other insights you might have.🙂
My period arrived 2 weeks early!!!!!! in Health ·
Terry Newman6 said:I really need some help here!!! I’m 20 years old and my cycle is usually super regular. My last period started on July 21st, and now it’s already back—it just started again on August 6th. Normally, my cycle runs about 33 days (give or take two), and it’s always been pretty predictable. The only times things ever shift is if I get really stressed out or if I start panicking about the possibility of being pregnant—since I don't take any birth control. But this? This is more than two weeks early!!!!!!

What should I even do?? Does anyone know why this happens?? My boyfriend is insisting that I should probably go see a doctor (though, honestly, I’d rather skip it since my usual physician isn't available and I'd have to see some random guy instead)

Please, if anyone can give me some insight, I would appreciate it because I am genuinely freaking out..... thanks

Are you experiencing any pain?

Only a doctor can explain this after an exam, especially since your cycles are typically regular.

I used to deal with things like this all the time before I started taking birth control. Now that I've stopped, I can never seem to predict when it's coming.

See a doctor.🙂

I'm not sure that even exists.
There is a riding school nearby; perhaps you're thinking of them?😁
