A few years back, I went in for some allergy testing and found out I'm allergic to pollen, ragweed, and dust. As far as I know, the ragweed doesn't really kick in until summer, but the pollen is definitely hitting me right now. It’s just awful—my nose is totally blocked and I can barely breathe...

I've tried plenty of nasal sprays and ointments, but nothing seems to work—it's like my nose is just constantly full of mucus regardless of what I do. Does anyone know of any over-the-counter meds that actually help?

I'm dealing with the exact same thing—just constant congestion. I've got an appointment with an ENT in a couple of days with all my test results, so I guess we'll see what they have to say about it.
Even if it turns out to be a miscarriage, there’s honestly no point in bothering with a test right away—beta hCG levels just linger in your system for about a month after an ABC
If you think you might be miscarrying, you really need to head to the ER instead of relying on some random forum😉

Sending you all the good vibes I can muster

While you didn't explicitly mention abortion, weren't you presenting all those arguments against the pregnancy—mentioning your boyfriend, your parents, and how young you are?
Hang in there, because you have truly made a brave decision!👍

are those really arguments against having the baby?🤷
I mean, I’d say more like just... anxiety caused by an unplanned pregnancy. I had no idea people categorized all that stuff as "arguments against" the pregnancy itself!
as far as I'm concerned, parents should probably be the last ones trying to argue their own kid into getting an abortion...
total nonsense, if you ask me.

I have to admit, it’s actually a really lovely feeling and I’m just totally happy about it. As for my boyfriend, he doesn't want a kid. Well, he doesn't have to if he doesn't want to, I guess, I'm just sad about it. Sending love to everyone here who's standing by me.

👋
Congrats on making such a brave decision!

I personally got absolutely roasted in here—to the point where even the moderator had to step in and explain the whole abortion debate thing to me...
Anyway, from the bottom of my heart, I hope you truly enjoy every little bit of this, and I honestly admire your courage, because that isn't a small decision at all. I'm sorry about the situation with your guy, but it's not the worst thing that could've happened, I suppose.
My own pregnancy made me feel genuinely happy, almost like I was finally complete, so I totally get why you're feeling so happy and content.
If you need anything at all, just shoot me a DM. The girls in the "wanna-be moms" group and the actual moms are all wonderful, so if you're feeling bored or just need some advice—come hang out with us!
😘

micek, nobody was roasting you, it was just a well-intentioned comment (from my side too). Take it easy, okay? Love ya.
Walter Smith8 said:I think she mentioned it’s not even worth bringing up—and honestly, fair enough—but I still wanted to jump in and say that personally, I’d never be the type to preach at someone or judge them for their choices. Not even a little bit. Everyone's got their own path, right?

Look, this is specifically about me and my supposed "pressuring"—this girl reached out to me yesterday, and since there wasn't anyone else around, we were just messaging back and forth.
She made it pretty clear that abortion wasn't an option for her, so naturally, I just kept the conversation focused on reassuring her that everything would be okay—because, you know, once that initial shock wears off, things usually figure themselves out eventually.
I mean, she seemed mostly just panicked at the time, looking for some advice like all of us on this forum, but she definitely wasn't asking for legal counsel or anything like that.
Honestly, you probably shouldn't even be stressing over this right now!
Anyway, just let me know how everything turns out once it's all over.
Best of luck with it!

Oh, come on, why would you even think that?
It’s not like you guys met at a dive bar last night or something—he's not just going to bail!
Look, his kid is his kid, and that's a responsibility he can't just shake off—so don't go spiraling into the worst-case scenario. Just sit him down, tell him what happened, and maybe loop in his parents too... then everyone can just sit down and figure out a game plan together.
briskbadger11 said:Well, congratulations... how many months along are you?

In four days, I’ll be hitting my fourth month—I've mostly just been super sleepy and had some weird cravings, but overall, things are going pretty smoothly.
How long have you and your guy been together?
Is he older or...?
briskbadger11 said:I’ve seen enough to know how this works, though I’m only twenty

Well, okay, if you're looking at how people view things nowadays—like when you're "supposed" to have kids—it’s probably more like, I don't know, ten years minimum? But personally, I always wanted to have a baby before I even hit 20. That didn't actually happen until I was 23, and honestly, that pregnancy didn't end well at all. So now, at 24, I'm pregnant again, and everything is going great—I'm actually really enjoying it.
briskbadger11 said:It’s an issue, really—I just don't feel ready, yet the idea of giving up isn't even on the table... so perhaps I am not prepared, though I suppose I'll have to schedule an appointment with my OB-GYN to find out for sure.

Look, I get it—it’s a total shock since you weren't expecting this, but don't panic. Everything feels overwhelming at first, but once the dust settles and you have a second to breathe, you can work through the logistics.
There really isn't anything quite like seeing that tiny little speck inside you that starts growing so fast—before you know it, at your next ultrasound, you're seeing little hands and feet, watching them move... it's like looking at a literal little angel.
Hey girl, yeah—that’s definitely a pregnancy!
I know it wasn't exactly on your bingo card or planned out, but honestly, congratulations anyway... things like this deserve a little acknowledgment, I guess.
I really hope you decide to go through with being a mom, and I just hope you don't end up making a choice that you might regret down the road.
Grab your boyfriend by the arm and get your parents on board—and if you think that isn't going to be a total headache, let me tell you, it wasn't exactly a walk in the park for me either, even once I was actually married (everything just felt so weird, you know?)
Anyway, reach out if you need anything at all!
