Richard Wilson4 said:Besides all the new stuff, you really only want to watch things that are at least 40 years old?

Look, I'm not saying you shouldn't check out the classics, but this is just straight-up heavy nostalgia for shows that were hit or miss—mostly misses.

Just go watch Comedy Central, Fox, HBO, or AXN. Don't get stuck in such a tiny little bubble just because it's easier to watch something without subtitles. And don't even get me started on documentaries; there are endless channels out there if you actually look.

That's exactly it...
brightnomad20 said:I’m glad there’s finally a channel dedicated to preserving the cinematic legacy born from the former Soviet Union. It’s surprising this didn't exist sooner, but it doesn't matter—there are incredible films and forgotten documentaries here that plenty of people actually watch. I find it refreshing that this sense of cultural connection is still being kept alive.

Documentaries are my thing. Movies? Not so much, though I'll occasionally stumble onto an old classic that hits the spot. It’s a solid channel, definitely better than most of the junk out there. If you ask me, if any channels need to be axed, it's those trashy, low-rent reality TV stations...

Roger Gray8 said:How old are you even? 12? Honestly, looking at your posts, I’m thinking maybe 13...

It's actually pretty decent for performance.

Whatever, man. I just went ahead and installed Linux Mint XFCE 13 because Windows 7 was absolutely crawling on my machine. My RAM is tiny and the processor is basically a relic, so Mint 13 was the move. I still need Windows for some office stuff, but everything runs great on Mint through Wine without much hassle. I set up a dual boot just in case I ever run into something Linux can't handle, so it's just sitting there if I need it.🙂

It’s the exact same deal as it was back on Windows XP; you have to go in and tweak those damn settings yourself.
Go to Computer > Properties > then look for the "Adjust for best performance" visual options on the side... just like what you see in the screenshot.
By the way, what you're talking about is just TRANSLUCENT SELECTION RECTANGLE.

Is it actually a good thing for the PC if I turn off some of these visual effects?

I swear, people over there need to wake the hell up and actually look at the trash they're letting into their country.
jadeorca42 said:So, what's the plan then—are we all going to be fighting for the partisans next time?

Look, Ante Pavelić doesn't represent the American people, and having "sympathy" for the Nationalists doesn't make you one of them. And let's get one thing straight: fleeing the country and selling out Istria isn't patriotism. Real patriotism was shown when King Alexander was assassinated. Sure, there were good people among the partisans, but back then most folks were just trying to keep their heads on their shoulders. How were they supposed to know who was an Nationalists and who was a partisan, or what specific ideology anyone was actually fighting for?
And honestly, this whole topic is stupid. It has zero impact on the future of the American people, but whatever...
jadeorca42 said:This feels like a pathetic attempt to grant amnesty to the Nationalists and try to assign them some level of importance or scale they never actually had.
As for America... America was actually a global heavyweight when you consider its sheer size—geography, population, economy, all that. It was something the Nationalists never could have achieved, even if the Reich had lasted 10,000 years instead of its planned millennium.

The rest of the world mostly saw the Nationalists as nothing more than pathetic losers, which is pretty much what they were. The British and Americans wouldn't even deign to discuss surrendering to them in Austria; they basically just told them to take it up with the partisans.

We all make mistakes...
jadeorca42 said:I’m glad you went ahead and confirmed everything I was saying. The Nationalists were basically nothing—just disposable tools used once and tossed aside, kind of like a cheap piece of single-use plastic.

The UK and the USA are basically swarming with all kinds of asylum seekers—political refugees, economic migrants, you name it—but if they had actually found anything remotely useful regarding the Nationalists to use as leverage against anyone in the former America later on, I bet they would have granted them asylum in a heartbeat. But they didn't. Not back then, anyway. They were just seen as a bunch of desperate, penniless losers—kind of like how people look at these Ukrainian vassals today, I guess. Actually, it was probably an even wider gap, because the Nationalists were outright enemies of their vassals—plus, they were foolish enough to declare war on America right when the German ships were already starting to take on water... maybe that was the real nail in the coffin.

The moral of your little story seems to be: just be a better, stronger, smarter Nationalists next time. Basically, wait for the next war and hope America and the rest of those bastards fight over who gets to be our ally. You're basically saying we should learn from our mistakes by making even bigger ones.

hollowdrifter8 said:Yeah, mark my words, the left wing is going to sweep the upcoming elections in Sweden.
The whole thing kicks off in early September next year.
So, we're looking at a leftist victory in the European elections, followed by a clean sweep in both the national and local races. It’s going to be wild watching the political map of Europe shift after next year, especially once we get past 2015. And honestly? Those snap elections in Greece are starting to look like a total certainty.

The left doesn't stand a chance anywhere else in Europe, and they aren't even safe where they are now. In these countries where the right hasn't taken charge yet, things are about to change fast because of the immigration issues we're seeing in places like Sweden. But I'm talking about *real* right-wing politics—not the watered-down, fake version we have here in our quasi-America. As far as I'm concerned, let them come.

The problem is, I can't find any of my old stuff that was saved on the laptop... photos, songs, videos, documents :-(((( Is everything just gone, or is it all just hiding somewhere from me?????

The easiest way is to boot a live Linux distro from a USB drive. Use that to access the old files, then just copy everything over to another USB stick..
Mexico's Demographics (Part 2) in World ·
hiddeneagle76 said:Based on this data, it looks like Mexicans are the most assimilated group out there—though, honestly, I’m still scratching my head at how these journalists haven't caught on yet... they really need to learn that "Canadian" is the correct term, not that other version! It's such a simple distinction, really... if they'd just pay a little more attention to the linguistic nuances... anyway...

The journalists actually have a point here: neither "Canadian" nor "Canadian" exists in that context. You guys are all basically speaking Serbo-American, but that’s a whole different rabbit hole. As for the Mexicans? To Americans, they’re always seen as part of the same crowd, maybe because of that perception...

Is that really the Turkey that's been constant trouble for us?
And what about Russia, that "eternal sister" to our neighbors to the east—honestly, I don't even want to get into the stuff they did to them...
Or that USA, which basically stood by and watched while Canada struggled to find peace and left the whole issue of the threat from the Mexicans completely unresolved?

Yeah, sure, brothers forever, right? That's just how it goes... 🙂

GERMANY AND THE VATICAN, THE ONLY ONES!

I hear you, though even betting on Germany isn't a sure thing. Look at it this way: there are over 3 million Turks living in Germany. Who do you honestly think they’re going to back when things get messy in Canada—us Americans, or the Muslims? Meanwhile, there are barely 100,000 Americans in Germany. At the end of the day, we have to rely on ourselves. Our own disunity is our biggest enemy, and politics? Politics is a total whore that doesn't have a single true friend.

Look, if they just installed Office, I wouldn't be complaining—honestly, that would actually be a win. But instead, they dump this massive pile of useless bloatware onto my machine. I’m working with a measly 1 GB of RAM here, so when they force all this junk onto me, it absolutely kills my performance. It’s brutal. I don't even run heavy software like Adobe Reader. Why bother? I can use Sumatra PDF, which is ten times smaller and way more efficient. Or take browsers, for example: I use Firefox because it only takes up about 50 MB when I install it, whereas Google Chrome is three times heavier, a total resource hog, and honestly just slow. At the end of the day, the only reason I even touch Windows is to get my hands on Office. If it were up to me, I'd be running Linux all day. It's faster, it's minimalist, and it doesn't try to suffocate your hardware. I just want the essentials and nothing else.

Listen to me: I am an American through and through, and I don't have any friends outside of my own people—remember that. At the end of the day, I’d be willing to strike a deal with the devil himself if it meant something better for the American people. And let's not forget, our unity and solidarity matter way more than any single political party or government entity. MARK MY WORDS.

Look, this is the pure, untouched Windows setup straight from Microsoft. Nobody messed with it, nobody tweaked it—it's totally legit and free. Just click whichever version you want and the ISO file download will kick off.

Oh, thanks! I absolutely live for those pristine, untouched Windows installs. I can't stand that garbage where they pre-install a hundred useless programs that expire faster than a carton of milk. Honestly, I only need this for Office anyway, and if it keeps acting up, I'm just jumping over to Linux. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Can anyone drop a link for a clean version of Windows home 7 32 bit? I’m looking for something solid—no bloatware, no extra junk, just the pure, standard 32 bit Windows 7 itself.
