Male infertility issues in Health ·
By now, you really should have moved into serious IVF territory. For cases involving azoospermia or high FSH levels, this method actually works quite well at retrieving sperm.

So, basically, you need the green light from historical preservationists, a building permit, and a unanimous vote from every single co-owner.
One hundred percent—every single co-owner has to sign off on it.
You'll need a building permit, which requires a green light from every single co-owner in the building (notarized, obviously), plus approval from the historical preservation office.

Jesse Ortiz4 said:Who even is Burrow?

It's just a quick little short that plays before Soul of a Rabbit, where the main character tries to curl up and hide.

Just finished watching it—stunning animation (and Burrow is fantastic too) 🙂
Flu shots [PLEASE READ FIRST POST!] in Health ·
mellowskipper said:So, I have this friend—he’s a family physician, by the way—who mentioned that he actually ordered 200 doses, but only 70 showed up at his clinic. It's quite a discrepancy, really. Because of that shortage, I guess he’s going to be forced to decide on specific criteria for who gets vaccinated first. He'll likely prioritize the most high-risk individuals within the high-risk groups—something like that, anyway.

I actually went in for my shot today, and honestly, it didn't feel like there was any shortage at all. Just like every other year, I called a few days ahead to confirm I was coming, and they poked me right away.
Onward (2020) in Movies ·
We caught it yesterday. Honestly, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either.
The whole thing is just riding a wave of clichés. They had characters that could have been absolute gold if they hadn't left them so half-baked—like Manticore, that guy named The 🤣, and the Colt bronco. It’s a thin mix of a little humor, a bit of sentimentality, and a dash of Harry Potter. I guess they figured that was enough to manufacture a hit. It wasn't.

Ethan Martin said:Look, plenty of people said the exact same thing, only to end up deciding they actually love Cruise because he barely even looks like himself compared to his old roles haha. Some people who can't stand him said the same thing, so... just give it a shot. Let the folks here tell you—it's a great movie.

Groundhog Day meets Independence Day. Personally, I thought the movie was a dud, even if I don't have anything against Tompkins as an actor.

Gluten-free diet: Tips and experiences? in Health ·
Mark Hill90 said:The bread you buy at the grocery store today (unless you're baking it from scratch) is loaded with additives, so gluten isn't the only culprit here.

Preach.
Take people with feather allergies, for example. They might deal with all sorts of itchy skin or digestive issues because of E920 (L-cysteine, a dough conditioner used everywhere that’s mostly derived from poultry feathers). Since it’s not even mandatory to list it on ingredient labels, they end up blaming gluten for symptoms caused by something else entirely.
Honestly, the only way to be safe is to bake my own bread and pastries at home.
Unmapped roads in Real Estate ·
Everything was done strictly by the book regarding road regulations. The public notices were everywhere—full-page spreads in the local papers, posted on official bulletin boards, and all over the government websites.
There’s no compensation involved here because, essentially, we're just updating the County Assessor's Office records to reflect a public roadway that’s already physically there, even if the paperwork hasn't caught up yet.
An energy certificate just outlines the property's efficiency rating; it has absolutely nothing to do with whether the names on the utility bills match the owner.

When you were closing on this place, you should have demanded to see the service logs from an authorized technician and the inspection report from a certified chimney sweep. By law, those pros are supposed to swing by once a year to check the systems and sign off that everything is safe—especially if the gas lines were messed with or new appliances were installed.
Since you've been living there since 2016, you’re also on the hook here. You can't really claim ignorance when you haven't called a technician for the water heater in three years or bothered to ask why the inspector hasn't shown up for the annual checkup.
It could be 15 days, or it could be 1,500. Honestly, it just depends on which clerk happens to pull your file from the stack.
William Diaz14 said:Does anyone have a rough idea of how long the wait is for a building permit in Washington, D.C., once you’ve actually submitted the application along with the main project?
It's just a permit for some reconstruction and repurposing of an attic space—basically converting a crawl space/sloped ceiling area (about 4 feet) into usable room.

According to the IRS, the deadline for issuing a decision and notifying the applicant is 60 days from the date a properly filed application is received.
The Zoning Law states (Section 122, Subsection 4):

(4) An implementation act for a spatial plan shall be issued in accordance with the spatial plan in effect on the date the application for its issuance is submitted, or in accordance with the spatial plan in effect on the date the implementation act is actually issued, should the applicant request such terms.

The Supreme Court says the exact same thing in their rulings, so there's no ambiguity here.

Since this whole process is dragging on forever, I’m about ready to file an appeal based on administrative inaction and let the Department deal with the mess.
Permits for large billboard installations in Real Estate ·
According to the building codes for simple structures and minor works, you’re required to provide confirmation of the master project. However, if you’ve already secured a Department of Buildings approval for a standardized design, you can skip the permit process entirely.
Building a new morgue in Real Estate ·
Building a cemetery and its surrounding facilities has to follow all the local cemetery regulations.
If you live right next to one and the zoning maps already show plans for expansion or new buildings, you’re going to have a hard time fighting it—especially if they’ve checked every single legal box and followed the urban planning rules to a T.

I find it hard to believe anyone would just wake up and decide to build a morgue on their own, and let's be honest, getting a permit for something like that outside of a medical facility isn't happening. 🤷
Can you build a monument on private property? in Real Estate ·
I’m pretty sure you need a permit from City Hall and have to cough up some local utility fees, but hey, you could always just claim it’s an "art installation" instead of a monument 😉
That’s most likely just lubrication being released during sex (I’m not sure if there's some fancy medical term for it 😕), and it’s incredibly easy to mistake it for ovulation fluid. Actual ovulation discharge isn't quite that transparent, and it's way, way more stretchy than what you're seeing here.
