Birth Control - General Discussion in Women's Health ·
Does missing a few pills actually cause cysts to pop up?
I was on my birth control for about six months straight, but when I went in for my checkup, the OBGYN asked if I was being consistent with them. Then she tells me she sees a cyst on the ultrasound...
The thing is, I haven't missed a single dose. Now I’m low-key spiraling thinking maybe my body just wasn't absorbing them right, and honestly, I might have been unprotected during that whole time too...
So now I'm taking a break from them until she prescribes something else, since she thinks these ones just aren't working for my system.

I mean, I don't know... I went in because my lower stomach has been killing me lately. I feel super bloated all the time—sometimes it's just pressure, but other times it's like a sharp stabbing pain...
She did an ultrasound and saw a clear cyst on my right ovary
Then she told me to book another appointment in a month and said she’d prescribe different pills since these clearly aren't working for me

Could lower back pain that radiates toward my stomach be a sign of an ovarian cyst?

thanks

Hey everyone 🙂>
I wanted to ask a quick question, just to get some input from you informed women out there 🙂>

So, I've been on the pill... I've been taking them for about 6 months now, but my OB-GYN told me they aren't really working well for my body and suggested I stop

Anyway, I took my last pill yesterday and I'm supposed to have a week-long break before starting a new pack... but I'm actually planning on stopping altogether
And I did have sex yesterday while I was still on that last pill...
So now I'm wondering if I was protected yesterday even if I don't start the next pack... I'm pretty sure I was, and I know this might sound a little silly, but I'd really appreciate it if someone could let me know
Thanks

thanks 🙂

but honestly, I’m just a paranoid person by nature, so I tend to overthink this stuff too... like, I usually take my pills at 10, but sometimes life happens and it ends up being closer to 11:30, or maybe 9ish... but I don't really think that should make a huge difference

and thanks again for being so patient and getting back to me 🙂

I mean, I get it... but since I’m a bit skeptical about those pills anyway, I was thinking maybe I should just factor in being protected. But if I'm not actually covered, then it’s just... whenever and wherever...

not really sure where to drop this question, so here goes nothing
okay, this might sound a little silly, but since I’m totally unsure about the answer, I figured I’d just ask you guys instead

when you're on the pill, how does it actually work to track fertile vs. non-fertile days? and is it even worth tracking if the whole point is to make your cycle regular anyway...

thanks

They’re all fine, even though they showed up a day late... but I honestly figured by the third pack I’d be totally stabilized and my period would hit around day 28

thanks

So, I’ve got a question and I would be super grateful if you guys could help me out and give me some answers

I just finished my third pack of Logest
After the first pack, everything seemed fine. My period showed up three days after my last pill—so that was day 24 the first time around
Then, after the second pack, I started getting this brownish discharge. I was still on my last pill when it happened, but then my actual period came on day 28
But now, after the third pack, my period hasn't shown up at all... what could that mean? Is it actually possible that I'm pregnant?

Thanks in advance

I'm currently on my second pack of Logest... I'm supposed to take my last pill today before starting my 7-day break
But I'm a bit confused... last night it felt like I had some brownish discharge... almost like my period is starting early... plus my stomach is acting up a little... which feels weird since I still have that one last pill left... technically I shouldn't start until Saturday

Can anyone share their experience and tell me if this is normal? Thanks

And yeah, it actually looks like my period started today...

Could someone please help me out or maybe share their own experience?
Thanks

Ugh, this is honestly so awful... besides just lying around feeling like it’s some rainy season mood—which, yeah, it kind of feels like now... nothing specific, just wanting to eat... but if I actually tried to go out for food, I couldn't because I'm not even hungry, I just don't know what I'd want...
I'm probably gonna start thinking I might be pregnant again...
but whatever, it's probably just all from the pills...

Hey, how’s it going 🙂
Honestly, I never dealt with this kind of stuff during my period before, so everything feels a little weird right now

Jeffrey Walker3 said:Yeah, my first one after taking the Tylenol was still pretty rough too. But things definitely leveled out after that!

Okay thanks, that makes me feel better

I usually deal with bad periods (sometimes more, sometimes less), but this first one since starting birth control has been brutal... way worse than usual. But it eventually settles down...

So, here’s the deal... like I mentioned before, I started taking Logest and now I’m in that seven-day break period... today—well, it's day three of the break—my period actually showed up... but the cramps were just brutal. And honestly, it wasn't just on the actual day, either; they were hitting me a few days before too. It finally calmed down a bit today after I took two pills... oh, and my nipples look like a weird color now (not sure if that’s even related, but I figured I'd mention it)...
I was wondering if any of you dealt with crazy pains or anything else while your body was still adjusting to birth control...

rapidraven4 said:It’s entirely possible.... I actually just found myself scrolling through the manufacturer’s website for these birth control pills, and they claim all of this is perfectly normal—just standard side effects during the first three cycles while your body tries to recalibrate to the hormones. But honestly, darling, I would much rather endure those physical tantrums than ever have to visit a " way am I pregnant??" website again. 🙂

Exactly... except for the fact that some side effects from the pills can look just like pregnancy symptoms too... 🙂 Oh, that's just my paranoia kicking in...

Hey, just wondering... how much does it actually matter if you take a pill at the exact right time?
So, I started at 3:00 PM, but there were a couple of times where I ended up sipping around 3:45...
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I started out on the pill and had this brownish discharge... I think it's totally normal though

I've been feeling pretty rough these last three days... head's pounding, feeling super weak, and I even threw up the day before yesterday. No fever or anything, just a low grade like 98.6... could this be from the pills? It feels weird that the side effects are hitting me now... I finished my first pack and just started my break yesterday
Just wanted to let you guys know I went in to get my blood work done today... specifically that beta test...
The number came out to 0.133...
That's sounding pretty negative, isn't it...
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Is it even possible that these pills are giving me more breakouts than before...?
All I’ve been reading about is how much better he's gotten, not worse...
Is it even normal for things to get worse before they actually start getting better...
So, I’m totally out of the loop here... if anyone could help me out...
Yeah, I noticed my boobs have gotten a bit bigger lately... does that stuff ever just go back to normal, or...? Honestly, even before they grew, they were plenty big enough for me anyway...

Thanks, guys...
thanks 🙂
just hoping this paranoia finally dies down... because let's be real, I don't see any way T happens
