The doctors have told me that visitors aren't allowed right now.😉

It’s funny how everyone reacts differently—some people feel the shift after a week, whereas for me, it felt like I was waiting almost three months for anything to actually kick in. I really don't want to rain on your parade, but just stay the course and don't give up on it yet.

Apparently, it is effective for this kind of lethargic, "can't-be-bothered," fatigue-heavy depression, and it should theoretically jumpstart my energy and appetite within about 15 days. Does anyone have experience with it? Out of all the antidepressants I've tried, only Faverin caused me issues and felt terrible; others, like Cipralex or Zoloft, were just mediocre. Right now, I am feeling quite unwell, having lost a significant amount of weight...
Even Wellbutrin didn't hit the mark for me right away. Honestly, nothing happened at the 300 mg dose until I started mixing in half a dose of Cipralex. It worked like a charm. Give that a shot; after a few days, I felt better and was able to drop the Cipralex entirely, sticking first to the 300 mg of Wellbutrin before eventually tapering down to 150 mg. That combo saved me twice. You should definitely mention that combination to your doctor! It was a total game-changer for both me and my psychiatrist! She's actually started trying it out with other patients since then, and it works!👍👍
Frostbite or just severe chilblains? My toes went numb while I was out rock climbing in the Sierras. It’s been two weeks now, and I’m getting conflicting advice from the pros. One doctor wants me in the hospital tomorrow to debride the dead skin, while another thinks I should just hold off for a month or two before we touch anything. I’ve been deep-diving online, and the general consensus seems to be to wait at least two months before any cutting happens. Has anyone here actually dealt with this before? Calling all climbers—help a guy out!
I had this one friend from high school. We were inseparable through graduation, all through college, and for a long, long time after that. We were even each other's bridesmaids at our weddings. Then, out of nowhere, everything just went cold—no argument, no drama, just a total sudden chill in the relationship for absolutely no reason at all.
briskmoose7 said:So I went to see a psychiatrist because I was dealing with some mild depression, and he put me on Prozac and valium. Well, after my third dose—half a pill of the Prozac—I felt absolutely terrible. Now? I can't even look at the stuff without feeling sick. Anyone else here actually dealt with Prozac? What was your experience like?
What exactly were you feeling when things went south? I didn't deal with any side effects from the Celexa, though it wasn't on it for very long, nor did it really do much... at least not until the dosage was bumped up to 25 mg. Once I dropped back down to 10 mg, I felt fine for about three months, but then the depressive symptoms came crawling back. So I upped it to 25 mg again, but it was like hitting a wall; there was zero effect left (I'd been on 25 mg for three months already). My doctor ended up switching me over to Wellbutrin.
So, I decided to throw a 10 mg dose of Celexa into the mix alongside my usual "horse dose" of 300 mg of Wellbutrin... and honestly, the mental fog is finally lifting and those dark, depressing thoughts are starting to clear out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this combo actually does the trick.🙏
I had this weird sensation at first whenever I turned my head—kind of like little needles pricking me or like I was suddenly losing my balance—but that eventually cleared up.
The problem is, I’m still waiting for the medication to actually kick in.
Back when I was on Lexapro, it felt like I needed a massive dose just to feel anything, and it took nearly three months to finally work. It seems like my doctor rushed things by suggesting I taper down from 2.5mg to one tablet too quickly, because once those three months passed, the depressive symptoms came crashing back in...😢 and bumping the dose back up hasn't done a damn thing to help.
Now I'm just playing the waiting game to see if Wellbutrin actually does the trick.☕
Lucky you. I’ve been on 300mg of Wellbutrin for a month and a half now, and honestly, it feels like I’m taking nothing at all.😢 Maybe you just manifested it through pure willpower, because there's no way you're feeling that much better after just one single day.👍Impressive work.
I've got an appointment with my doctor this week, so we'll see what the verdict is on Wellbutrin... honestly, after a full month, it hasn't done a thing for me, except make me feel even more desperate, like I'm stuck in a dead end, and now I'm just constantly irritable too.😢
wiredfalcon21 said:My experience with Wellbutrin was quite poor, so my doctor switched me back to Faverin, and I am doing okay now.
So, what was the actual experience like—was it just side effects that were killing you, or did it simply fail to do anything at all? Also, what kind of dosage were we talking about, and what prompted the move from Faverin to Wellbutrin in the first place?
What’s everyone’s experience been like with Wellbutrin? I was on Lexapro for a few months, and after about two months at two and a half pills a day, I felt relatively okay. Based on my psychiatrist's advice, I tried tapering down to just one Lexapro a day after two months, but things started going downhill fast. I ended up bumping back up to the 2.5 dose, but even after another two months, I wasn't feeling any better, so my doctor suggested switching over to Wellbutrin 300. The initial transition was absolutely brutal, but I've been on it for a month now and the worst of it has passed—though I still haven't noticed any actual improvement in my mood. How long does it usually take before you start seeing real results? 😢
Finally, that Lexapro actually kicked in 🙏 after three whole months and bumping up to 2.5 tablets for a few days I've managed to scale back to 2 tablets now😛
I’ve been on Lexapro for six weeks now, but honestly, I’m feeling absolutely zero difference. This depression is heavy, and my motivation has just completely evaporated... I have a follow-up scheduled for June 2nd with my therapist. We started me on 5 mg, and per her recommendation, I’ve bumped it up to 15 mg daily. Is there actually a chance this thing will finally kick in? Like, can it still start working at this stage? How has it treated you guys? How long did it take before you actually felt a shift?
I honestly feel like we’re spending way too little actual time with kids, trying to compensate for a lack of presence by just throwing gadgets and toys at them instead. It’s like they aren't getting any real guidance or upbringing whatsoever. 😲Our generation completely dropped the ball on this one. There's zero accountability... kids these days are just spoiled and entitled. They basically have everything handed to them on a silver platter.
In my opinion, this total vacuum of authority and responsibility is just a fast track to pure chaos!
