Anyone have experience with JP Morgan Chase? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I submitted my application yesterday at $12667. They’re looking to take an immediate 6.89% cut out of $38,000 for insurance... When I actually tried to dig into the specifics of the coverage, I realized they weren't being very transparent about the details. It was almost like they were acting like it wasn't even an issue, just saying the funds would be held at the bank. I can't exactly cancel it, or write a formal cancellation, or even sign a mutual termination because apparently those only cover the cancellation fees. She didn't even specify how many installments we're talking about. Hmm, I guess I'll have to see exactly what's going on before I sign anything... if it really turns out to be six installments, then this whole thing is a non-starter. What a mess.

Just my ID, social security number, and the cash, obviously.

Does anyone happen to know more about this I was wondering if anyone has experience with this kind of loan. Also, how does the credit insurance actually work? Like, what specifically does it cover if someone loses their job or something similar?
USPS vs. FedEx in Close to Politics ·
I’m really just looking to hear what everyone else thinks about this. I work at the USPS, but honestly, the whole situation feels pretty shady. It seems like FedEx is just gobbling up more and more of our market share. And that's not even talking about the actual quality of service. In my opinion, it feels like management is intentionally handing business over to FedEx just to let them dismantle the USPS and everything else in the American postal system. As employees working the counters, we're getting squeezed every single day. We're expected to fight to keep customers and push new products and services, yet at the same time, leadership is letting FedEx take away more and more of our core delivery work—things like utility bills, bank statements, and basic mail. If they actually wanted to win, maybe they should have just undercut FedEx's prices right when they started to knock them out of the market. But instead, we're just watching them take more of our business every day.

I guess those Italians were just a bunch of weak-willed losers too
Everything seems to be fine now, I guess. The swelling is almost completely gone. It looks like the treatment actually worked. I also helped things along a bit with some cold compresses, and now everything is pretty much back to normal
Tick bite help! in Health ·
I got bitten by a tick, and I didn't even notice it until that evening when I spotted this tiny little thing on my left shin. I just pulled it off myself, cleaned the spot with some rubbing alcohol, and thought everything was fine. But then, about two or three days later, this red ring started forming around the bite. I ended up seeing an infectious disease specialist, who told me I actually caught it at the right time—that it was a good thing the redness showed up when it did. If it hadn't, I might have ended up dealing with much more serious issues involving my liver, joints... maybe even my brain 😳 ... down the road. Anyway, after finishing a course of Sumamed, I feel okay now. I had some follow-up blood work done in mid-June, and everything looks normal. All five
Does nobody have any answers?? My swelling just won't go down, and it's already been five days.
Tick bite help! in Health ·
I had the exact same thing happen on my leg. I noticed a red ring forming around the bite site, though mine didn't show up until about two or three days later. My doctor ended up referring me to an infectious disease specialist, who eventually diagnosed me with Lyme disease caused by a tick bite.
They ran some blood work and took a tissue sample from the inflamed area, then put me on a course of antibiotics. I had to go back for follow-up blood tests after two months to make sure everything was clearing up. My specialist mentioned that I was lucky I caught it early; since there are three stages to this disease, if you don't get treated properly and in time,
the consequences can be much more serious. Fortunately, it’s all cleared up now and I haven't had any lasting issues.
For about the last 10 days, my eyes have been watering constantly. I’ve also been sneezing in bursts of four or five at a time, maybe ten times a day. On top of that, my eyes—especially underneath them—have been feeling really itchy for the past week or so.
The biggest issue is this slight swelling that popped up under my left eye the day before yesterday. Yesterday, it actually doubled in size, so I skipped work and went straight to my doctor. He referred me to a specialist, who ended up prescribing me Colgate eye drops, Colgate ointment, and some Claritin. Honestly, it felt like the specialist wasn't entirely sure what was going on either; he just assumed it's an allergy that should clear up with this treatment. I took a pill yesterday (just one a day), used the drops, and applied the ointment (three times a day), but I don't see any improvement this morning. If anything, the swelling seems a bit worse. I can't help but wonder why, if it really is an allergy, he didn't send me for any testing to figure out exactly what I'm reacting to? He even asked if I’d been bitten by something, though as far as I know, I haven't. I was out in the wind a little bit lately, but I doubt that would cause just one eye to swell up like this. My doctor suggested it might be a bug bite, but I don't have any bugs around here, and if I did, I'm pretty sure I'd notice a bite.

If anyone has any advice or has dealt with something similar, please jump in and let me know.
Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
Henry Thompson5 said:Can someone please point me toward a hairstylist in St. Louis who actually knows what they're doing for wedding updos? There are plenty of options out there, but let's be honest—half of them are a gamble I'm not willing to take.

The stylists at the Lowe's over on Main Street do great work, but they're pretty pricey, I guess.
