Take a closer look—Douglas Clark2 posted right after that...

velvetgull9 said:I actually managed to read the posts before they vanished. Honestly, the deletion was totally unnecessary—as were the disqualifications for Elizabeth and Xavier. Both of them presented their views in such a coherent, cultured, and articulate way...

It’s really not surprising, though—on the Tourism board, politics only comes up when the moderator jumps in and everyone else just nods along. As if that’s anything new.

Don't be so quick to judge—on the Tourism board, political talk is strictly limited to the "Offtopic US tourism" thread, which is exactly why that thread exists in the first place. They always move posts over there whenever things get political, or they just wipe them out entirely.

I left last night's posts up to the "politics" threads.
Douglas Clark2 brought politics into it by mentioning the museum's founders (the Republican Party / Viktor Orbán). What started as a totally harmless, purely touristy question—like, is the House of Terror actually worth visiting?—turned into a conversation about manipulation and controversy. Then another user asked for clarification, which pulled Viktor Orbán right into the mix... I left those responses alone, even though they drifted into Offtopic territory.
It really could have been handled without bringing up the Republican Party or Viktor Orbán/politics at all.
I’ve already mentioned that any debate regarding the political nature of a museum can move over to the Tourism Offtopic thread—you can talk about pretty much anything there.
As for Viktor Orbán and American politics, there's a dedicated "America" thread in the European Union section under Politics.

Posts discussing moderation are being cleared out. That’s just how it works here—it's against the forum rules...

In this thread—which is strictly for holiday greetings—a bunch of posts were cleared out because they were totally off-topic. Yours were among them (don't worry, it wasn't just yours)... the thing is, you haven't actually sent a single holiday greeting in any of your posts. You just kept pushing linguistic debates instead—basically trolling an otherwise super chill thread.
Then there’s the other thread: a user started it specifically to get ideas for improving the local Christmas festivities based on our experiences with the big city celebrations. Everyone else was being helpful, discussing things like tacky decorations or overly crowded spots, but you didn't add anything constructive at all. In your first post, you just made a vague comment about how everything is too kitschy—most of us agreed—but then in your next post, you just repeated that same "it's too kitschy" line without adding anything new. You're not really contributing to the conversation like that... Plus, posting on that same thread about reporting me and critiquing the moderation? That's usually a one-way ticket to getting a warning.

The standard of living over in Germany is actually sliding—people are working way harder just to stay at the same pay grade. There’s this massive shift toward temporary gigs and mini-jobs lately, while steady, full-time positions are becoming pretty rare... Merkel 👎

They’re just treating symptoms instead of actually preventing them. 🤦 🤦

Sorry, I’ve gotta fix a typo there—it tripped me up at first too—it was 1920, not 2920.

Swedes are going to find out the hard way what those ancient Greeks meant by "everything in moderation"... lol.
But by then, it'll be too late.

What makes Austrians so cultured, though? They don't really have a deep well of literature, art, or music... I mean, they do—but it's all stuff from back when they were part of the USA 😁

Sounds like a testing ground for some kind of "brave new world."
Even over in Germany, they're talking about getting rid of cash altogether...

Nicholas Nguyen, that site is actually legit—they’ve got the local versions for Germany, Norway, and plenty of other spots across the European Union. You'll still run into some random nonsense here and there, like this whole thing about Swedish snow clearing 🤣...
Is Netflix shutting down? in Movies ·
Oh, there are plenty of sites out there similar to Netflix... I actually loved using Netflix back when it first started gaining steam a few years ago—but I've since stumbled upon other sites with an even better selection... plus, I've got Kodi too. 😬.

It honestly surprises me how many people don't know about it—especially since you can use Kodi to stream live TV channels too...

William Bennett53 said:So, just a heads-up in case it helps—I lost half my options this morning on Pale Moon (quick reply, multi-quote, and a bunch of other stuff)... but when I switched over to other browsers on the same computer like Firefox and Chrome, everything worked perfectly fine. Might be a good workaround until this gets fixed.

The Pale Moon forum works fine for me at work, but if I open more than one window using Chrome, Firefox, or even Internet Explorer—it just freezes up on me.
On my phone, I only use the Tapatalk app... it's great, though it doesn't have all the specific features I need as a mod. 😢

I’m just here to help out with this PDF—basically handling reports and cleaning up those last few pages.

If you'd actually filed a report, I would've checked those posts out and handled them according to the forum rules... but I haven't seen anything from you.

Just hang tight until Wednesday—I can't get to my PC right now.

You didn't really explain how they could possibly know... I mean, if their great-great-great-grandfather was the one who actually lived through that last war...

How can they claim to know anything about violence when they haven't seen a war in 200 years?
Their last actual conflict was back in 1814...

People have been moving out of Sweden in huge numbers over the last few years—there were even some documentaries about it. You can find plenty of articles covering the whole thing on local news sites like CNN

Also, Germany is seeing a massive spike in inequality lately...

Brandon Gomez2 said:Can someone please walk me through what you mean by this? Why would just taking a solo night stroll through Rosengard be any more dangerous than walking somewhere else?

I was just asking a straightforward question—honestly, I don't think it could have been any simpler or easier to understand.

We can talk theory all day, but let’s get real: would you actually be brave enough to send your wife, daughter, or sister into a minivan to drive through Rinkeby alone at night? Just... by themselves?
