Honestly, that lack of understanding seems to be a pretty universal human condition.
And what exactly is wrong with being an American and a Catholic?

goldenjackal6;77518567]Yeah, unfortunately, in Catholic America, it’s totally normal to take out a massive loan, start a business, file for bankruptcy, pocket all the cash, and then just dump the debt onto the taxpayers and the government.

The way you constantly throw mud at anything "Catholic" or "American" every single time some bullshit comes up—which, honestly, anyone can pull off without it having anything to do with their faith—is just proof of how much propaganda you're peddling.

You're just worked up over nothing, acting out for no reason.

I get that people have biases and defend their side... that people disagree... even to the point where it starts looking like ideological narrow-mindedness.

But this constant, drooling, hyper-aggressive, comically pompous, white-hot nonsense you keep spewing just for the sake of being annoying? It’s beyond anything I’ve ever seen on this forum.

Good grief...

Haha, you really gave him what he deserved. Honestly, I find myself saying the exact same thing to him whenever other topics come up. 😁

The Petrodollar? Hmm... was that before or after the gold standard? 🤔 Probably after mercantilism... I guess...
😁
Anyway, it's just some historical term...

My suggestion? Maybe wake up to the 21st century and realize the USA is now the biggest producer and net exporter of oil and gas. Plus, the IT industry is basically the engine driving everything.
The whole Petrodollar concept is fifty years old, and nowadays, the only people still obsessing over it are those salon-dwelling blowhards spinning their little fantasies. It's as if certain cultural Marxist economic theorists—which is an oxymoron if you ask me—have elevated it to some kind of cult object, the ultimate scapegoat for all the world's problems. And now, they just can't cope, so they keep seeing this phantom threat in every nightmare.

Russia has three to four times more gas than America.
American gas is about 30-50% more expensive than Russian gas.
How to quiet your mind (meditation tips) in Spirituality ·
Paul Rogers94 said:Dhyana occurs when the distinction between subject and object vanishes. Everything else—the constant focus—is just concentration, and that requires actual work.

Don't get it twisted: practicing might keep the mind calm for a bit, but it won't kill it. The mind isn't going to just disappear on its own. It stays quiet temporarily... nothing more.
The real goal—the one absolutely vital for true freedom—is to maintain that stillness and finally dissolve the mind entirely.
Freedom is simply what happens when there is no mind.

When the mind doesn't function, you've found freedom. Focusing on an object? That yields nothing, because it’s forced. Effort is required to bridge the gap between the observer and the observed—that friction, that tension, is the very definition of mental effort. But when the mind doesn't function and returns to its natural state of calm and peace, the struggle stops. That is effortless. That is "freedom."

Achieving this kind of freedom doesn't require a manual or a specific technique. Forget the well-worn paths everyone else follows. You need to uncover your true nature—find out who you actually are. You have to start there, before you even attempt to understand anything else.

Drop the methods. Drop everything. Just sit still and stay quiet.
Stop stirring the pot—don't trigger the mind or engage the intellect. Instead, turn your attention toward the observer itself. That is your true nature, the bedrock from which everything else emerges. This is who you really are.

If you start treating this like a project—applying effort, using a method, or chasing some goal in the distant future—you're just falling back into the trap of time. And time? Time is just the mind playing games. Your fundamental nature is pure emptiness.

At every single moment, you are empty. That's all! Simply watch whatever thought pops up. You will find that all thoughts arise from emptiness, from their source. Once you become aware—once you realize, "I am that source itself"—the need to practice or travel anywhere evaporates. You'll realize you've been That all along.
This is "freedom," and it isn't something you hunt down in the future.
It's already right here!

Not at all. They’re just taking advantage of them.
It can be pretty dangerous, honestly; when you're running at absolute full throttle, even the tiniest slip-up can send everything spiraling into total chaos.

I guess I should chime in with my own grievance. The Reddit App takes an absolutely ridiculous amount of time just to load any single page on Reddit. It’s constant, every single time I open it... Is anyone else dealing with this nonsense?

If you’re referring to the crowd over at ONE, then they absolutely can... and it’s precisely because of their situation with Russ.
That's exactly what they did to Russ, too.
Best,

They tried to take down Erdogan, but they failed specifically because of the Russians, and they won't succeed again for that exact same reason. What did they do to the Russians?
P.S. We're all watching as Bashar al-Assad's fate is effectively sealed. 😁
