Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
rapiddrifter4 said:I started taking Lindynette 30—my cycle kicked in on the first day (I took them specifically to deal with heavy, painful periods)—and here I am on day ten, still spotting. It’s just a few drops a day now, but I'm wondering... is this kind of thing normal during the first month?

Well, this definitely isn't "normal" anymore. It’s day eighteen for me now, and the bleeding has actually picked up—I'm going through two or three pads a day—plus I'm seeing some clotting. To make matters worse, my skin has completely flared up; I've got breakouts everywhere, especially around my chin. Just pimple after pimple.

My doctor at the local clinic won't even see me because I showed up for the wrong shift today—what am I supposed to do?

My driver's license is set to expire in just a few days—I need to get my vision checked—where in Chicago can I get this done the fastest? Any idea on the cost?
Honestly, I find the constant commentary regarding my large bump quite grating—as if I have some direct control over its shape or size just because the baby is growing fast... as though it's a choice I'm making daily.

The gender guessing games get under my skin too... everyone makes their predictions, and then when they’re wrong and it turns out to be another little girl, they act surprised. Personally, I am just profoundly grateful that the baby is healthy and thriving; the gender itself is entirely inconsequential to me.

Then there is the matter of the name we’ve chosen—Kko—which carries the lovely meaning of "dear." Everyone seems convinced they will inevitably end up calling him "Dragec"... well, they can certainly try.

I recently ordered a selection of cookies and a cake from Whole Foods—and honestly, I am quite pleased with the results. The cookies arrived neatly packaged in individual boxes, while the cake was presented on a truly lovely stand; everything was executed exactly as we had discussed. I'll post some photos below.
