Used PC builds: What are they worth? in Desktops ·
What would be a fair market price for a MacBook White, manufactured and purchased in June 2010?

Specs:

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 320M
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 250 GB SATA Drive
I once bought two packs of Yaza at once while traveling through Canada; I simply showed them the recipe and paid. 😁 It’s almost as if you're shopping in America, except it's actually cheaper. 😳
I accidentally tore the top off a bill; it’s a $17.. Should I head over to the Federal Reserve to get it swapped out?

Does anyone happen to know if this movie has been dubbed? I really hope it isn't 🙂

velvetraven2 said:That was just how much Yasmin cost; I paid $86, then it climbed to $34 (gas prices).
Now I’m drinking Yaz and $39 (drinking too much). Honestly, it's getting out of hand...

Ugh. 🙄 I also had to switch to Yaz during my first time on birth control $39 because it wasn't available at my local private pharmacy yet. Once they started stocking it, the cost hit $35 😁 Lucky me. 😁

Yasmin was crying $30, and now Yaz is crying too $35 😉 Los Angeles 😁

Taylor Smith3 said:I’ve decided to go ahead with the pill after all, but I’ve run into another issue. About four hours after taking it, I ended up vomiting. The pamphlet for my birth control—Cilest—says if you vomit within twelve hours, you need to take another dose. What has your experience been with this? I haven't taken a second one yet. 🙄 It’s not that we’re having sex anyway, so pregnancy isn't really a concern for me. 😬

That applies to all birth control pills, as far as I know. And yes, take the backup dose whenever that happens. It might shorten your cycle by a day, but that's it.😉

I’m on the pill too, so I stopped by the tanning salon the other day. I only stayed in for about six minutes, but after one or two more sessions like that, I should be good to go. 😁

stormymaker24 said:Lucky you. I hate those people. 😁 For me, it's a solid two or three days of misery.

😢

You probably need something stronger, and Ketoral isn't even that potent. 😢
I took some Voltaren Forte once—good grief, that stuff is intense. I took it at night and slept like a log until morning. 😂

Ketonal 🙏 I know it by heart 😁 It lasts exactly six hours, then I’m back to needing another dose. Ugh.
For me, from the moment I realized how my body works, the first day is absolute agony. Vomiting, unable to even stand up... total blackout.
I used to take Yasmin, and there was zero pain, nothing. Now I'm on Yaz, and on that first day, the cramps feel like they're tearing me apart. It's insane. But Ketonal? That's always a constant necessity. 😁

The instructions state that if you vomit or have diarrhea within 3–4 hours of taking the pill, you need to take another dose. It’s been much longer than that for you, 😉.
Are we talking about 8:00 AM or in the evening? In my opinion, regardless of the timing, there isn't any need for a second dose. When exactly did the vomiting happen again?

Bryan Taylor5 said:Yaz...
Look, when I first started taking them, I spent way too much time scouring various forums. I saw all kinds of horror stories from women who definitely gained weight on Yaz—so, yeah. The packaging can claim whatever it wants about efficacy, but if your body decides to have its own "policy," it’s going to follow that instead of what’s printed on the box.

It's the same deal with the libido claims. They say Yaz shouldn't kill your sex drive because the hormone dose is lower, yet I still ran into plenty of women complaining about that exact issue while on Yaz...

Everything just depends on your specific biology.

Exactly. How much weight you gain is entirely up to you. It's the same deal with libido; I've heard plenty of people say their sex drive hit rock bottom on Yaz, yet for me, it couldn't be better. 😁 Yaz turned out to be a total win for me! 👍

Olivia Cox77 said:So, I managed to lose one of my Yasmin pills, and honestly, since these things are getting pretty pricey, I was wondering if I could just skip the 21st tablet to save on costs and essentially shorten my cycle by a single day. $33 I suppose if I just bypass that last pill, I could go ahead with my usual seven-day break and then simply start the next pack a day earlier than I normally would, right?

Yes, and you won't need extra protection. 😉 Your period will just arrive a day earlier than expected, and everything should be fine. 🙂

dustydriver12 said:Fair enough, I don't have an issue with that (hopefully), but does a general practitioner actually play a role in this process? I mean, regarding referrals and all that—do I even need to see my primary doctor first?

I approached my primary care physician for the first time to request a full blood panel. Following that, my OB-GYN provided a referral for coagulation tests and several other screenings. In reality, you should be handling all of this through your gynecologist. 😉

dustydriver12 said:Ladies, besides getting a standard blood panel, what other tests or check-ups should I be looking into before starting birth control? 😉

It’s a complete blood count, which also evaluates liver function. You also need to check the clotting time—and there’s something else that goes along with that, though I can’t recall exactly what it is right now.
Exactly. One should probably ask about your medical history and your family's history if there are any hereditary conditions involved.

Chris Howard2 said:Thanks. So, what if they don't work for me? Should I just call my OB-GYN to switch them? 🙂

I might consider swapping them out, but let you run with these for three months first. I want to see how you react to Yasmin. They might actually suit you. Personally, I thought they were fine, but compared to what Yasmin has, these are significantly better. 🙂 It all comes down to the individual. But don't go judging someone after the first month; give them three months. 😉

Chris Howard2 said:Kind of a stupid question here..

My OB-GYN told me yesterday that I could pick whichever birth control I wanted since my blood work came back clean. She offered me Yasmin, Yaz, or Triquilar—said they were all solid, low-hormone options. Since I'm not exactly sweating the cost and she seemed to lean toward Yasmin, I just went with those.

I get that everyone reacts differently to different brands, but now I'm second-guessing if I made the right call. Any advice? (comfort me..)

I was on Yasmin for about a year, and I’ve been on Yaz for three months now. Yasmin was alright, but despite working out constantly, I noticed a significant increase in cellulite. Plus, the headaches were too frequent, so I switched. My labs were fine. Historically, my periods were excruciating—vomiting and being completely incapacitated. On Yasmin, the pain disappeared and my period lasted about four or five days. Now on Yaz, things are great. I get a headache once a month, there's no cellulite, no weight gain, no bloating, and no seven-day break. My period lasts two or three days, though the first day hits me incredibly hard, almost like a natural cycle.
I hope Yasmin works for you. It worked for me, but compared to Yaz, Yaz is significantly better. 🙂 But again, that's just my experience. 😉

Emily Davis9 said:Hey everyone! Quick question for the group—what are the actual odds of someone getting pregnant if she’s been super diligent and taken every single one of her birth control pills exactly on time every single day?
Thanks a bunch! (Just so you know, we're talking about Yasmin pills.)

Zero. I’ve used Yasmin and was extremely diligent about the timing; there were no issues. 😉
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
I think taking birth control solely to delay a period is actually 😱 I took them for about a year. After that, it took me another seven or eight months for everything to return to normal. Now, just imagine how that feels if you take them for a single month and then stop immediately.. 🙄 I’m sure the body finds that absolutely delightful. 🙄

Kevin Smith13 said:He thinks... I don't know, that he’s just done. There was this one issue that kept popping up, and now that things have finally settled down, he’s telling me it’s too little, too late. He says there’s less love there—not that it’s gone entirely, mind you—but that he just can’t do this anymore. He feels like I blew every single chance I had... I guess he’s just been hurt so many times that he doesn't want to take the risk again.

So, what now? Part of me feels like it shouldn't be over, but then again...😢

To be honest, I am in the exact same position, except I’m the one speaking from his perspective. Look, I don't know your specific history, but believe me: being hurt repeatedly takes its toll. This isn't about a lack of love; if anything, the feeling is still there. It’s about fear. It’s the dread of repeating the same cycle. You have the choice to stay consistent, and he will likely respect that. You can demonstrate through small, steady actions that things have actually changed. Ultimately, though, it depends on whether he is willing to let those actions reach him.
The reality is, he probably can't tell if this change is permanent or just a temporary phase.
When someone breaks your trust over and over in the same ways, it becomes difficult to try again—not even for them, but for your own sake.
