Might start a new rodeo in two minutes just to keep things interesting 😉

It almost certainly won't blast through 1900 on the first try this year. There’ll likely be at least a month between each attempt.

The market is wild right now—Gold could break 1900 in San Francisco today, or it could tank so hard you'll wonder who turned out the lights.

Either way, regardless of your bias, staying cautious is what matters most.

Because they’ll be right back at it once the S&P 500 dips from 5,500 to 5,450, claiming the bubble finally burst for the millionth time.

So, you're telling me that back in 2011—during the absolute peak of the crisis and when they were cranking the printing presses like crazy—silver didn't drop 50% in value? And we're supposed to call that just a "minor retracement"? Give me a break.

Let's not get carried away here. We aren't debating religion. There's a difference between having convictions and calling people crazies just because they disagree—especially when the very theory you're backing just tanked by 50%. That’s not exactly a winning argument. And honestly, stop recycling sixty-year-old doom stories about the dollar collapsing or fiat becoming worthless. People have been shouting that same script since Bretton Woods, and yet, here we are. Sure, the collapse could happen tomorrow. It could have happened yesterday. It’s been "happening" for six decades straight. But while everyone else was busy waiting for the end of the world, some people were busy making massive fortunes on silver right after the printing presses started running.
Bottom line: we're playing in the market. Things aren't exactly stable enough here to be calling anyone crazy.

Just so there's no confusion, I'm generally on the buy side when it comes to precious metals.

So what’s he supposed to do? You can't just have constant growth; you have to dip a little now and then.
The deeper the drop, the better the entry point. Same goes for the upside.

(discussions for 😉 )

Prices could still tank even if they wow the speculators. If people start ditching safe havens—which is basically what PM is right now—those prices will drop fast.

Bottom line: there are plenty of scenarios out there, and they don't always align with the fundamentals.
The fundamentals definitely support buying PM, but let's be real: analyzing fundamentals or technicals is one thing, actually trading is a completely different beast.

dustyheron5 said:And what happens when that limit is hit? Do they just let everything fall apart? 🤣

Gold's reaction to the decision:
A jump to 1744 USD

I didn't say they would let it happen, nor did I say they wouldn't. I'm just leaving every scenario on the table.

We aren't at a church service; there are no dogmas here. During an American financial crisis, absolutely any scenario is possible.

Paul Peterson4 said:Here’s the verdict: that legal challenge against the Federal Reserve's policies just flopped—the Supreme Court isn't buying it. Meanwhile, Mario Draghi is basically shouting, "Print more, print more!"
In the short term, you'll probably see stocks and the US Dollar jump, while gold and silver might take a little dip. But looking at the long game? We're talking massive growth driven by the President.

It’s not quite that black and white.
The court basically ruled that Draghi can print up to 190 billion, as far as Germany is concerned. This is extremely conditional support at best.

Whatever. A trader doesn't care which way it swings. As long as there's 🙂
movement.

I'm seeing the same thing. I'll happily buy more if—or when—it dips back into that 1600-1650 range.

Though, we'll probably be looking smarter tomorrow once the Fed makes its move.

Believe what you want—it’s all connected.
It’s impossible to have a real conversation about gold without looking at how fiat currencies are actually performing.

The best proof is right there in the news from this past Thursday and Friday.

rapidorca8 said:Can someone explain why the dollar is tanking right now and where this is even heading? Like, is this just some election-driven manipulation?

I don't see things getting any better over in Europe.

I thought I was being smart buying some EURUSD at 6.16, but now everything is just sliding. I was really hoping it’d hit at least 6.5.

Thanks.

Check the correlation between the EURUSD pair and the German DAX index; that should clear things up for you.
Basically, the European Central Bank’s decision (looks like it happened Thursday) to step into the bond markets for those debt-heavy countries gave investors a bit of breathing room. It's a temporary fix to prove the Euro isn't dead yet, though the long-term outlook is a whole different story. Markets reacted well, and when European stocks rally, the Euro tends to strengthen too—at least during periods when EURUSD is the main driver.

dustyheron5 said:You could just head elsewhere and cash it in... it's not like you have to stay in the States to do it.😍

As for me—I’m planning on selling my bullion to those same "experts" from Wall Street who mocked investing in gold and silver just three years ago... I know exactly who they are, too. Of course, they'll be buying through intermediaries—it would be too much for their egos to admit they're buying from me.😂

Maybe I'll set a little portion aside for Bakić... 👏👏👏

Obviously... I wasn't saying it would be harder to sell to Americans 😬 when gold goes illiquid, we're basically looking at the end of the world anyway... so, I couldn't care less about that part.

But here's what's actually bothering me...
If I buy investment-grade gold locally from someone—whether it's this guy coming in from across the border or some other setup—how can I be sure I'm getting the real deal? If anyone has a solid recommendation based on actual experience, shoot me a PM. It's time I move beyond CFDs and get something physical to bury in the backyard. 🙂

thanks

I was just about to type that exact thing...
Back in the 30s, Americans were ordered to hand over all their gold, and they weren't even allowed to hold onto it until the 60s.

So yeah, nothing new under the sun...

Acronyms are such a huge part of my daily life that I can actually confuse entire scientific fields and industries. [To be honest, I've never even heard those used in this context 🙂 ]

What I laid out is the actual reason for the growth we've seen over the last month—and what to expect in the months ahead. 😉

Sure, that's the big picture.
Today's NFP numbers just added fuel to the fire.

Yeah, expectations were way higher... some people even had a range going up to 140k.
Now everyone’s gearing up for Quantitative Easing, which obviously means metals are only playing the long side.

It's manipulation—plain and simple—based on the Federal Reserve data.😉
Gold is sitting at $1,729/oz.

The reason:

RT @jamesgrickards: #Fed easing on Sept 13th is a done deal.

probably just the NFP release...same old story every first Friday of the month😉
