Lung issues / respiratory problems in Health ·
How are you all even coping if you've got lung issues? Honestly, I’m just so over this whole situation that it’s hard to even find the motivation to get out of bed... they diagnosed me with asthma, I’ve dealt with pulmonary edema, pleurisy, TB, and now every little common cold turns into a full-blown lung infection. I get these brutal coughing fits, I can't breathe at night, I can't sleep, I can barely move, and there’s always this constant wheezing in my chest... I'm just exhausted by it all because nothing seems to actually work. Every time I get sick, nothing helps except some heavy-duty ampicillin or penicillin, but everything else is useless... does anyone know of any natural remedies that actually do something? I’m just so sick of the suffering and I'm completely drained... just two weeks ago I ran a fever, and even though it broke, I'm still coughing my lungs out and struggling to breathe with zero relief. My doctor just keeps handing me pills that don't do a damn thing... is anyone else out there dealing with this nightmare?

So, how exactly are people using essential oils as an antidepressant?

I actually just got my hands on some homemade oil myself...
Yeah, there are no doctors on duty because it’s Sunday, and Dad’s stuck in the hospital without anyone available to actually pull his test results... we won't know what's really going on until tomorrow for sure. And look, people act like he’s a toddler, but he isn't—I can't exactly pick him up by his arms and legs and carry him out of the building myself, so let's be real... I don't know how things work in other places, but the medical situation here is just on a whole different level; even living in a smaller town with just a tiny local clinic means every major hospital is at least a two-hour drive away, so it's hard to explain, but right now, I just need my dad to be okay and nothing else matters!
Just got the news... Dad definitely had a stroke, or at least there's a serious chance he did. We're waiting on the head CT results, but since it's Sunday, the specialists aren't around yet... anyway, he's in good hands for now, I guess.
Hey everyone, please don't come for me right now, I really don't have the energy for it... just wait until things settle down before you start judging me all you want. Anyway, my dad is still stuck in the hospital and I'm just waiting on my mom to get here so we can finally hear what the doctors are saying about his diagnosis, but from everything I've seen, it looks like things are looking pretty grim...😢
Believe me, we kept telling him he needed to go, but he just wouldn't listen... and now I've just been told my dad was rushed to the ER because his blood pressure spiked north of 200, so now I'm just sitting here waiting to hear what happens next!
Dad's at the doctor right now, and I’m honestly terrified it might be something serious... just really worried about him...
From what I can tell, nobody’s actually disputing that it was a stroke, but honestly, I’m just sitting here dreading the morning and wondering how much more chaos we can handle... thanks for all the input, everyone. My brother just stopped by, so we’re going to try to get things moving again
The thing is, when you've spent your whole life feeling perfectly fine, you just don't grasp how serious things actually are once they start going south, so you just shrug and tell yourself "it'll pass"... and then he mentions that on his way to work this morning, he tried to say hello to some lady and realized he could barely get the words out, which makes it seem like things are definitely taking a turn for the worse... first he couldn't speak at all, then in the afternoon he's losing his balance, and now by tonight his knees are buckling and his arm is giving out entirely.😢
Well guys, I finally got him up, but he just won't cooperate, and honestly, he’s been acting like this since 5:00 PM... I thought maybe he just showed up home wasted from work, but when Mom says things aren't looking good, they usually aren't... Is it really possible it's actually this serious? God, this is going to be a long night, we're definitely calling 911...
Ugh, where am I even supposed to find some 100 Grand right now? Every single pharmacy in town is closed, and Mom tried taking an aspirin but it’s doing absolutely nothing... we're just waiting on my brother to get home so he can venmo us enough to finally see a doctor...
He’s sleeping now, but nothing’s really changed... he just stumbled up to the bathroom a bit ago, still tottering around and barely able to get a word out😕
I am honestly spiraling right now... my dad came home from work today and we realized immediately that something is seriously wrong; he can barely walk, he’s stumbling everywhere, and his speech is just totally garbled, like he can't get the words out at all... we're all sitting here absolutely terrified, pulling an all-nighter because we can't even convince him to see a doctor, but when Mom tried to help him to bed, he told her he can't feel anything on his left side, his knee is buckling, and his arm is basically useless... is this actually a stroke happening right now, or are these just warning signs of something coming...? please, does anyone know how bad this really is???
Bruise on my leg? in Health ·
So, about two years ago I slammed my thigh against the corner of a table and ended up with this bruise... but what’s actually driving me crazy is that the damn thing still hasn't faded away. It kind of recedes sometimes, only to pop right back up again, and honestly, while I was vacationing at the beach recently, I was too embarrassed to even wear a swimsuit because of it. I'm at a loss here—should I finally just bite the bullet and see a doctor, or is there some magic cream that might actually fix this...

[QUOTE=Megan White4;14986300]You know what the issue is? It's that parents like that usually just brush off anything their kids say as "they don't know anything"... and then they act totally shocked when their kids start pushing back because they're being smothered by all that overprotective nonsense....

Take my mom, for instance—I'm constantly telling her to quit backseat driving while I'm behind the wheel (acting like I don't have a clue how to drive, even though I actually have my license from Ford Motor Company), but she just ignores me and restarts the whole lecture because she's convinced she knows better than I ever will... and then she acts surprised when I finally snap.

Totally agree, and honestly, I've dealt with way more than my mother ever has in her entire life, yet somehow she still thinks she's the ultimate authority on everything and that her calls are always the right ones... especially when she starts lecturing me about college, asking why I didn't learn certain things or how I could possibly fail a class, even though she’s never even stepped foot on a university campus in her life and yet she's an expert on it all!

👍Totally!
Sometimes, because they’re constantly breathing down my neck, I feel like I’m just waiting for them to pray to God that I trip up so they can swoop in with their little lectures... they’re always looking for any tiny flaw to nitpick, making sure everything is absolutely flawless just so they can launch into some deep investigation about why things happened this way or why it couldn't be done that way, and you just can't prove to them that it's high time I learned how to look after myself... they just dig their heels in and insist on being right, and that's that!

Honestly, some parents can be such a total drag... I can't even step away to use the bathroom without them hovering over my shoulder asking what on earth I'm doing!
I'll literally just walk out to the driveway, ten minutes pass, and suddenly there's a full-blown search party looking for me like I've vanished off the face of the earth...
Then I stay out a bit longer, walk back inside around 11:30 PM, and they're just standing there lecturing me about how I'm going to give them gray hairs...
If all goes well, maybe I'll finally move to the States next year, and if that actually happens, my folks won't see me for at least five years... man, I am living for that day...
