Which auto insurance should I go with? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Allianz and the USA.

GEICO, Liberty Mutual, the American Bar Association... honestly, just stay far away from them. That being said, Allianz and the ABA are definitely your most budget-friendly bets. Plus, Allianz is hands down the fastest and most straightforward when it comes to payouts, which is a total lifesaver if you're dealing with collision coverage.

Just finished installing Windows 7 and honestly? I’ve got nothing but praise. This system is absolutely killer—way better than Vista.
Speed-wise, it's just fantastic. I'm running a 2.6 GHz dual-core with 2 GB of RAM, and it actually feels snappier than my buddy's setup, which is a 3.2 GHz 64-bit processor with 2 GB of RAM.

Even browsing the web feels faster now. My only real task is getting used to the workflow compared to how things were back in the XP days.

The jerseys look alright, but I’m really not feeling that massive Diadora logo

Plus, the guys at the factory put the crest on the underwear way too high... basically right between the legs... total nightmare.

I have a question about kickboxing. I’m planning to start training to get in shape and also to learn some fighting techniques and self-defense. Since I’m a total beginner, I want to know when sparring actually starts. Is it mandatory? What kind of gear is used for protection? It seems pretty stupid for a newbie like me to jump right in against someone experienced who might just crush me or leave me bruised up like a ragdoll. I’m asking because my job involves working in retail sales, so I can't exactly show up to work with a bruised face or anything similar. I still want to do this recreationally, though.

If you work directly with customers, sparring could definitely be an issue.

Nobody can give you a guarantee—not even after years of training—that you won't take a hit to the face during a session.

Broken noses, fractured cheekbones, and bruises are all real possibilities.

You basically have to decide if you can accept that risk, or you won't be able to spar effectively because you'll be too busy overthinking it.

It’s perfectly normal for people to be afraid of getting hurt.
In your case, you'll have that extra layer of anxiety about showing up to work with a bruise.

Spot on. Honestly, my worry isn't even really about the injury itself—it's more about how it might mess with my ability to actually do my job.

It’s the kind that covers the nose and face—the goal is to avoid getting a broken nose or facial cuts. Or maybe I've seen something similar used in Krav Maga classes, where only the eyes and mouth are exposed? Let me know if you've seen any!

I don't know, man... just Google it.

Yeah, that sounds like your best bet. Is it something like this?

but what do you mean about being a beginner and not sparring with people more experienced than you? unless it’s just some newbie group...
that's how you actually learn...

Exactly! Why not spend the first month or two just dialing in your conditioning and getting those heavy bag reps in? Then, you can slowly start sparring with people at your level or maybe someone slightly ahead of you. Honestly, I don't see the point in a total beginner going up against some absolute beast who's just using the session to vent their rage—neither one of them is actually learning anything from that chaos...

Quick question for the group: gloves, headgear—does most gyms provide that stuff, or should I be planning to buy my own? Just to clarify, I’m not talking about prepping for pro fights or anything like that; this is strictly for my own personal training and self-defense skills.

Quick question about kickboxing. I’m looking to jump into KB to get in better shape, sharpen my technique, learn some self-defense, and all that good stuff. Since I’m a total newbie, I was wondering when people actually start sparring? Like, is it mandatory to spar at all? And what kind of gear do you use for protection? Honestly, the idea of a beginner like me stepping into the ring with a seasoned pro sounds terrifying—I don't want to get absolutely wrecked or end up looking like a bruised mess. My job involves working directly with customers in retail, so I can't exactly show up to work with a black eye or bruises all over my face. I really want to do this for fun and fitness, but I need to keep my "professional look" intact!
Tattoo removal advice? in Health ·
Hey everyone! Has anyone here actually been to "Crn" tattoo shop? I’ve heard some rumors that they’re top-tier but surprisingly affordable... I’m finally ready to pull the trigger on some new ink, but honestly, the decision paralysis is real. I’ve been looking into shops like "Washington, D.C.," "Gandalf," and "Crn" over in D.C., so if anyone has some firsthand experience or a strong recommendation, please let me know! Thanks!
