Standard mail usually hits my mailbox within two days here, whether I send it via regular service or certified from the local post office in Chicago,
it’s funny how a package sent from a hub like Chicago can reach an island out in Hawaii by the very next day.
That’s why you have to wrap it securely in something soft. It would be even better if the perfume came in its original box. I actually save all my bubble wrap from deliveries so I can reuse it whenever I need to mail something to someone.
It is best to place it in a small box and wrap it securely in bubble wrap. If you can't find a small box, a padded envelope should work, though if the item is heavy, shipping costs will rise for registered mail, and you'll end up paying $4.25
There is nothing more foolish than using checks; most of us just use online banking anyway.

Kudos to you on that
Well, I have already suggested we just round it up to 13.
I honestly have no idea what that is
If you're traveling within the same city, like NYC to NYC, it might be around $12.27. That's exactly what I've paid twice already.
Use some heavy cardstock, glue it down, and tie it with twine
I ran out of paper yesterday, so I just used a large gift bag instead. I wrapped it up, glued a sheet of white printer paper to the front, and tied it with some twine.
I usually grab an old shoe box from the house, or I’ll just reuse an envelope someone sent me by covering the old label with white paper and writing a new address over it.
Anything heavier than a pound goes in a box as a package. For items up to $27 in value, the rate is now $12.27, down from $14.40.
For small stuff like cosmetics or a light blouse, I'll use a padded envelope via certified mail. If I think the item's worth more than $12.27, I'll just put it in a box and ship it as a package.
They didn't actually slash the prices; they just eliminated the sales tax.
I always ask for $5.00 to be provided since shipping costs me $14.40 per package, and I've always covered the cost of envelopes or boxes myself. I recycle whenever possible, though sometimes I'll just buy something new if I can reuse an old container instead.
Since shipping rates have dropped now that they've removed the sales tax, I'm going to request $4.25 (which is $12.27), but I'll continue providing my own packaging. Of course, if prices stay at $5.00, I'll keep doing things my way too.
Of course it's cheaper when it's closer by.

I’m not entirely sure it’s a smart move for him to head back to the Midwest. There just isn't any work to be found here. I honestly think he'd be much better off down south. If he wants to make this work, he really needs to rent out a couple of rooms immediately to cover his mortgage. Then we'll see how things go.
It shouldn't be an issue, but generally, things take a bit longer when you pay via the post office
You shouldn't have returned the package; now you're just losing money
Personally, I wouldn't have sent anything back. I would have just sent a replacement at my own expense. You'd still be out some cash, but if it actually shattered, you clearly didn't wrap it well enough, so that's on you.
It definitely needs to be flagged red because that just isn't right.
And where on earth was she sending it via certified mail per $10? I haven't seen that anywhere yet, unless it was an incredibly heavy envelope.
I never receive my bills in the mail.
I paid $12.70 for the package, but the clerk told me the price dropped starting today.
Some good news for everyone—postal rates just dropped. They've eliminated the sales tax on shipping services, so a package will cost about $12.70 instead of $14.40.
