You need to weigh it first, then check the USPS website to see what the shipping rate is for that specific weight in a padded envelope.
A lost cause
Just grab a smaller box at the store instead.
Because of the weight, anything under 500 grams is $5.75, but once you cross 500, it’s 21 or more
Yeah, and with some twine too.

What is the best way to ship shoes? Should I put them in a generic shoe box, wrap everything up, and send it as a package?

That is what I do. Just list the value $27 and then you can see the shipping cost.$4.75
I will NEVER pay $1.75 for any package
I never pay $1.75
She refused to send me the envelope as a package

Does anyone know which carrier handles large items weighing between 30-50kg? I don't have the exact weight, but I'd estimate it's up to 50kg. It's a long trip, shipping from Savannah to Newport.

Your best bet is FedEx. They should accept it, and the price is based on weight. Check their website; they might have a pricing guide listed there.
Can someone explain how COD works? Let's say I'm sending an item where I would normally pay for shipping myself $5.00 and I charge the buyer that amount for postage, while the item price is $10. If I list that the buyer owes $15 upon delivery, do I still have to pay any shipping fees at the post office upfront, or is it covered? I know the buyer doesn't pay the $15 fee, just the 53, but I want to know if I owe anything at the counter and how much
Yes, that's $14.40 and you get a confirmation
I had my suspicions, but she insisted I would only be paying $45.00.
I bought something from a girl online and agreed to pay the mail carrier upon delivery. We settled on a total price of $15 including shipping, but when the UPS driver arrived, he told me the cost was $53.90. That’s exactly what was printed on the paperwork I signed, regardless of the fact that the package was marked as COD $15. Just a heads-up: don't buy things this way. It's much safer to just use a direct transfer to a checking account
