Anesthesia, Resuscitation, and ICU: Q&A in Health ·
Hey there! So, I’ve got surgery scheduled for this Friday. For the last month or so, I’ve been sipping on some lemon balm tea and taking 1.5 mg of bromazepam in the evening every now and then. Usually, it’s the tea about 4 or 5 times a week, and the pill maybe once or twice a week—I actually had my last dose just last night. Should I bother mentioning this to the anesthesiologist? Is there any chance this could mess with anything?

There’s no such thing as soulmates, honestly, I just can't wrap my head around that whole concept. Everyone is already a complete person on their own and totally capable of holding it down solo, but when you actually meet someone where everything just clicks and you start leveling each other up? That’s when it’s like, woooow 😁 And yeah, that definitely exists, but most of us are way too busy ignoring our own gut feelings to even realize when we've finally hit the jackpot.

People seem to expect their partner to complete them or keep them entertained, but that's nonsense. Everyone gets bored with someone after a while, which is probably one of the main reasons so many relationships and marriages fall apart.

I don't actually need an identical match because I'm already whole on my own (aside from sex 😁). In principle, I don't need anyone; I'm genuinely content with myself, though having that identical half would be nice, like the icing on a cake. Maybe it's true that you have to work on self-actualization first, and then connecting with a twin flame happens as a sort of confirmation of that growth. We can't trick God, outer space, or the universal mind. You can't force happiness; everything has its timing, but that Mind expects us to cooperate on the road.

Look, I get what you're saying, but honestly, what good would an exact clone of me actually do? That kind of person doesn't exist, and frankly, I wouldn't even want them. It's more about finding someone who thinks in a similar way, views life through a similar lens, and shares those same spiritual insights, something like 😁

Honestly, I’ve been feeling the exact same way lately, so I totally get where you're coming from. But let's be real—expecting someone to be your literal carbon copy is pretty childish and just plain silly since everyone is wired differently. You’ve gotta focus on yourself and building up your own vibe, just doing your thing and chasing what you love, and eventually, someone who’s basically the icing on the cake will just drift into your orbit, someone who's actually on your wavelength 😁 Personally, I think it’s vital for people to complement each other and share some common ground, but I can't imagine being with someone who is my twin; I feel like we'd run out of things to talk about in like five minutes 😕
How long does the honeymoon phase actually last? in Psychology ·
So, I was just getting into this massive, heated debate with a friend the other day about whether being "infatuated" and actually being "in love" are even remotely the same thing, and honestly, we almost came to blows over it 😬 He’s convinced they’re one and the same, but I’m standing my ground here—they aren't ☕ To me, they’re two totally distinct vibes that might overlap sometimes, but they definitely don't have to. Infatuation feels more like this fleeting, milder phase that you can eventually shake off 😁 whereas actual love is way more complicated, much harder to move on from, and for some people, it stays forever. At least, that's what I've seen play out in my own life. Over the last few years, I've had several little crushes where things felt intense for a bit, but then the feeling just... evaporated. Now, when I run into those people, it's like there was never even a spark 🤷 But with my current boyfriend, I genuinely love him and can actually see a future together, and if we ever broke up, I don't think that love would just vanish overnight. It’s funny because everyone talks about those famous "butterflies in your stomach," but I never really got that whole sensation with him, except maybe at the very start, and even then it was more just this warm, pleasant glow deep down 🙂
I actually know this girl who is probably still hung up on her first boyfriend in some way; they haven't been together for maybe 3 or 4 years now, but she’s basically obsessed. Every time she sees him, she gets those butterflies and that desperate need to reach out or be near him. I guess it really is different for everyone.

I’m pretty sure one of my cousins had that surgery done. It’s honestly not even a big deal 🤷

Where can I find a Calzedonia in St. Louis, and does anyone know if they have one in San Diego? Please drop the addresses here! 😁

Yeah, honestly, even my moms are regulars at the local tailor's, mostly because they always need stuff hemmed or taken up anyway 🤦
I’m actually thinking about treating myself to some cute little winter dresses 😍 for the first time, but I have absolutely no clue where to start looking 😢

I don’t really see myself as "thick," more like I’m just comfortably filled out in all the right places 😬 Honestly, hunting for pants is my absolute least favorite thing in the world; I genuinely loathe it 😠 I can barely find anything that fits because my backside basically has its own political agenda at this point O.o 😁. If I try anything skinny, they won’t even make it past my hips or butt, and don't even get me started on extra skinny—those won't even clear my calves 😂 and those trapezoid cuts? Absolutely horrific, they just distort my entire shape 😲 Usually, I just grab a straight-leg pair and then take them to a tailor to taper them at the thighs or calves if I need to, which gives me these custom semi-skinny jeans that actually look decent 🙂
For those of you who actually brave the cold in dresses, where do you usually shop? I’ve been totally obsessed with dresses this year because they’re just way more comfortable, they hang better, and they're so much easier to style. I’m dying to pick up something for winter, but everywhere I go, it’s still nothing but summer vibes—I guess the new collections haven't hit the shelves yet 🤷

I truly believe nobody should be out here discriminating against themselves; you've gotta love your body exactly as it is. Once you actually feel good in your own skin, other people will start to respect you too. People who constantly nitpick everyone else's looks are usually just projecting their own insecurities onto others. They really ought to take a good look at themselves before they start judging anyone else.
