Question about my HP Envy printer? in Computer Peripherals ·
If Epson is actually any good... then this thing is basically...☕

No... you buy the magenta... you load it... it works... then two days later it’s screaming for black...

You grab the black... you pop it in... two days later it wants yellow...

You get the yellow... five days later it's begging for red... and it just goes on forever...

And you haven't even used anything! It's all still half full...

Every single one of these printers nowadays comes with some kind of built-in protection...

If you go with a Canon, they put chips on the original cartridges that you actually have to rip off and stick onto the cheap replacements... otherwise, the thing won't even recognize them...

The only way out is those older models... or maybe some of the simpler HP units... they actually let you use the cheap third-party stuff...

Look, when you buy a printer, you should be asking one question first: how much do the cartridges cost and can I actually find them? You want something where you aren't constantly messing around with color profiles and settings...

But those don't really exist anymore. Most of those were just basic little machines without scanners or copiers... simple, low-end stuff...

The second you try to get an all-in-one machine that does everything... that's when the headaches start...

Look, you gotta make a call here... either you go the route of buying third-party cartridges... and then deal with the headache of unblocking them with a resetter whenever they lock you out... you can find those generic ones for like $6.75 over in Chicago if you're hanging around
there.

Or, you just install one of these systems... where you basically just refill the ink from a bottle... kind of like pouring soda into a flask...

http://rustysurfer79.com/A_PROIZVODI/A_TAN...pson_TRANS.htm

The whole setup will run you about $133 bucks...

As for the resetter, I think you can grab one in Tennessee 31 miles... maybe around $67... I think.

Personally, I'm hunting down a resetter right now because I’ve got a massive stash of cheap cartridges just sitting here waiting to be unlocked...

So, if you haven't dumped a ton of cash into this yet, honestly? Just get that kit from rustysurfer79... it'll save you a huge amount of stress for at least 5 or 6 months...

Later... and make sure you check out that other thread too... ☕

That's just how HP works.

You burn through half the ink and then you're stuck hunting for a replacement....

So you swap it out, pop in a new one, and then two days later, boom—it happens again....

Look, your options are simple: either grab a reset tool... reset that half-empty cartridge... and shove it back in....

Or, you can go over to rustysurfer79's shop and pick this up...

And if you do that, you won't have to deal with this headache ever again....

Seriously, get yourself something from this list ASAP...

I've got at least 30 of these half-dead cartridges sitting in my junk drawer right now....

I need a reset tool myself... urgently...

p.s. I'm not even sure if what rustysurfer79 is selling fits your specific model...

Just give them a call and let them walk you through it...

Later...

Here’s a little something... sure, it isn't happening in Europe yet... but it's coming for everyone else soon enough.

Alright, fine... look, there’s no harm in a little fighting... if anything, it just helps people figure out where they stand in the social hierarchy... lets everyone know their place...

The US is plenty big enough to let all those old prejudices spread out...

And once this whole wave of immigrant generations passes... the youth are just gonna get swallowed up by the crowd... and honestly, those numbers are only going to dwindle...

Just yesterday I'm sitting in an ambulance listening to this old lady... she was only 27 when she had her kid...
whereas kids these days don't even give it a second thought...

She told me being American and dealing with Mexicans was her top priority... (just kidding)...
Old ladies always have something to say...

Dammit... I told you so. You can quote me on that if you want...

I mean, look at how well Turkish immigrants have integrated over in Germany...

Every single generation loses a little bit of its old identity...

But honestly? Who cares about "identity" if your life is good and you're doing well for yourself?

I'm totally with you on that...

It’s the same deal in Australia... everyone who knows anything about that place says it's basically paradise...

And just look at how many different nations live there...

Yet you don't hear anyone complaining...

Man... who even knows what things will look like in 100 or 200 years? We have no clue what our priorities will even be by then...

Maybe we'll all be busy trying to grow cucumbers in moon soil...

The big global goal here is definitely worth looking at—it’s all about this push for standardization...

The idea is to make sure we never again see a situation where Western Europe is operating on a standard that's twenty times higher than the rest of the world...

Or where parts of Africa are stuck working for a single dollar a day...

That's really the core of it, if you ask me...

Once you're full, once you've got money in the bank and a solid credit score... well, suddenly nobody gives a damn about faith or national identity anymore...

You see it in documentaries coming out of Arab nations too; watching the younger generation comment, it's obvious that consumerism is slowly eating away at religious devotion. And we're talking about people who hold some of the most radical views on life and human relationships imaginable...

China is heading down that same path toward becoming a consumer society... though they're also obsessed with being the ultimate manufacturer...

So, yeah... everything is relative...

If we actually managed to wake up 100 years from now... who knows what kind of world we'd find ourselves staring at...

I remember someone posting here on the politics board once—if my memory serves me right—sharing a link to some political segment on CNN or one of those major networks. They were breaking down how, in several different corners of the globe, there's this massive push toward unifying Europe, Asia... even the US itself.

Look at the evidence: they're talking about plans to introduce a single currency for Canada, Mexico, and the USA... seriously, folks...

They’re pointing to signed documents that bypass Congress entirely, which is exactly why people are getting so worked up. They claim if a plan like that were actually public, it would never fly in America because it’s essentially a roadmap toward unifying the entire North American continent into one giant entity.

I mean, sure, we might be able to stomach an arrangement with Canada... but trying to pull that off with Mexico? That's a whole different beast.

The broadcast even showed interviews with all these high-level big shots who basically confirm that there's a blueprint out there for a global superstate, divided into maybe three, four, or five major blocs.

And honestly, we'll probably see a wave of globalization like this again in a hundred years or so...

But as for exactly how or when it happens? Nobody has a clue.
Look, I remember back when I was doing my military service out near Fort Bragg, they sent us off on one of those "field exercises" away from the base. Once we wrapped that up, they marched us straight into this little rural community, and the local guys gave us a heads-up right away. They warned us that we were entering an area inhabited by people with their own distinct culture, language, and traditions—basically, they weren't part of the mainstream group everyone else belonged to. They made it clear that even the locals knew the difference and treated them accordingly. Now, trying to draw a hard line between these different groups? It’s a mess. It feels like back in the day, some administrative powers just threw everyone into the same bucket to make things simpler. But you know what that proves? It shows that certain groups have always been something entirely separate from those two categories. And the people living there actually recognized that distinction and respected it—at least until more recently. And honestly, looking at how certain ethnic labels were applied back then compared to other countries, it’s pretty mind-blowing. It really looks like some groups were literally named after the fact that they served someone else within their own borders. It’s wild. Unlike those other groups who were basically defined by their servitude, these other folks had names that didn't imply they were anyone's subordinates. At the end of the day, the name says everything you need to know. Peace!
