A little about myself: I am a 32-year-old woman, employed, happily married, and without children. I am looking for a female friend in the Miami area, roughly 25-35 godinica, for hanging out, walks, movies, coffee, nights out, or even some fitness activities if that is your thing...
I have my own group of friends, but we are currently in a bit of a transitional phase in life. Half of them have had kids and are completely preoccupied with family, while the other half are chasing career goals and struggle to balance their professional and private lives. I am naturally social by nature. Even if I have a long day at work, I am always up for action and socializing. I am tired of excuses and constant drama, so I would appreciate it if whoever reaches out shares that same mindset. Aside from having high energy and a genuine desire to be social, I don't really have any other specific requirements. 🙂

If the weather turns, they can bring in a tent, and the whole ceremony can happen on that wooden pier right by the water. #2 Bene restaurant... stunning location... perfect for a small party. #3 Grašo restaurant... ocean views... top-tier menus... also great for smaller gatherings. #4 Legends bar bačvica... yeah, they've started doing small parties too... their restaurant is open in the summer... located in the Bače cove area, you can't get much better.🙂 #5 Ovčice cafe... they used to host small parties; you might be able to arrange catering since they have a full kitchen. Great spot, check if they're still doing it. # 6 Amigos Podstrana restaurant... lovely beach where you could hold a ceremony.
Just some quick thoughts that came to mind—grab a friend and go scout these places out.🙂
Thank you so much! While I was researching, some of those spots had already popped up as options, but you definitely gave me some new ideas.🙂
Hey ladies, I’m officially joining the ranks of the engaged. 🙂
We are planning our wedding for next year. We haven't picked a specific date yet, but we definitely want it during the warmer months—somewhere between May and September. We have zero interest in doing anything traditional. We want it to be laid-back. Our vision is something like a beach wedding where we rent out a beach bar, just a casual get-together with immediate family and close friends (around 50 people max). 🙂
So, here is my question for you all: Have any of you attended a "non-traditional" wedding like this that you could recommend a location for? I am open to ideas like a house with a pool or even tents out in nature. The main thing is that the ceremony is outdoors and everything remains relaxed. We don't want that rigid structure where everyone waits for the soup, then the risotto, then the lamb, and so on. ☕ Basically, I am looking for venue suggestions. If you have been to a wedding like this, how was the experience?
p.s. I am looking specifically in the San Francisco area. 😉
I work at a small local bank. When I first started, I was told we have to complete these forms to satisfy the Federal Reserve. Apparently, when they show up for an audit, they randomly select certain clients to review their questionnaires, so we’re required to have everything on file.
Basically, we fill them out whenever a new client opens an account or sets up a savings plan. We never call anyone at home or send out any official letters. We also have to do this for our long-time clients if they drop off a large amount of cash. Though, as someone else pointed out, they can claim whatever they want and there is simply no way for us to verify it.

I might just douse her with water next time. I want to watch her life flash before her eyes. 😁

😲 That is terrifying.....
As for all these other myths, I know an acquaintance who is convinced that if she misses her period, she just needs to drink something red to get things moving.... 🤣

However, a few years down the road, another aunt—not even related by blood—did the exact same thing during my period, and she also died. I have heard plenty of old wives' tales claiming this shouldn't be done. Personally, I wash my hair on the very first day of my cycle, and nothing has ever happened to me. I believe it simply depends on the individual's constitution.
After reading everything you have posted on this forum, I simply do not believe a single word you say.☕

I don't buy it. I only started this thread to show her the truth and hopefully get some sense into her head. Personally, I would feel absolutely revolted with myself if I didn't shower for five days straight. Not to mention how everything would start to smell sour. 😂
hiddenscout362 said:They told me the exact same thing. I shower and wash my hair just fine without any issues. It is simply true that you shouldn't dye your hair or get a perm during those days because the results won't hold. I cannot explain the science behind it, but it is a fact.
Well, I told her that too. Her response was that I might not have problems right now, but I will eventually—in a year, two years, or ten... okay, fine.🙄
I was chatting with a friend this morning about our plans for tonight. She’s on her period. In the middle of our conversation, she starts staring at her hair, complaining about how greasy and lifeless it looks, but says she can't wash it. 😲 I was completely baffled. I asked her why not. She told me that you aren't supposed to wash your hair or even take a shower while you're on your period. Apparently, her grandmother told her that, and she won't touch any of it during those days. 😕 Now, I’ve been having my period for eight years. I am fairly certain these are just old wives' tales. I shower and wash my hair regularly during my cycle. I have never faced any consequences—not that I know what they would even be. Honestly, it seems like a matter of basic hygiene to me. 🤷 What are your thoughts? Did your grandmothers ever nag you with these kinds of stories?
