I’ve wandered through other sub-forums too, and it feels like absolutely nothing happens over there. The moderators rarely step in; they aren't nearly as strict or meticulous, and conversations often drift wildly away from the original topic or title, yet they just let it slide...

The takeaway here seems to be that every moderator operates on a completely different set of principles. I was actually surprised by a few users who jumped into the fray without any critical thought (like that very first comment that followed). The issue is that most people don't really care about the core of the argument they're fighting over; they just want to protect the "weaker" side, so the easiest way out for them is to just bark, "close the thread." Michael Lee4 clearly has his own way of doing things, and you probably have yours too... As for me, I'm staying pretty restrained (for now).

So, look,
early on, I had a minor friction with the gentleman in question, though he probably doesn't even remember it given the variety of patients he has to deal with. Or so I hope. 😂 I figured out what he's like: serious, almost professional in his consistency when it comes to deleting posts, strict, and perhaps a bit dictatorial—but I guess that's just what happens when you hold power. 😁😁

Personally, I'm fine with him staying. It seems like nobody else has the sheer willpower required to maintain order here, and let's be honest, if it weren't for Stinger, this subforum would turn into a landfill pretty quickly. 🙄

A bit of advice: try to mess around with the crew a little more, take a joke once in a while, and occasionally let some off-topic stuff slide. After all, this is supposed to be fun, not a full-time job. 😉

I suppose those folks over at LotteryWin have it easy; they’re never going to hit rock bottom. 😂
