Former military fortifications in the USA area in Miscellaneous ·
George Patel36 said:When I got home, I was flipping through this book about Newport and stumbled upon this massive section about that bunker. The part that really grabbed me was this claim about a whole network of underground tunnels stretching across the entire USA—like, all the way from Des Moines to Madison. Does anyone actually know more about this than the guy who wrote the article? Is this legit or just some crazy urban legend?

There is absolutely no way there’s a tunnel system running from Des Moines to Madison..

As for everything else, stop guessing and hit up the people who actually have the answers..-

So, is this Absinthe actually any good?

Is there anything actually better than just the UN? I mean, could "Europe" be the answer here?
Is Stiasny a Moravian surname? in Miscellaneous ·
So, if you’re familiar with Ford, and you’ve ever wondered where that "Stiasny" name actually comes from... well, here’s the deal.

It isn't actually "Stasny"—that was just some bureaucrat messing up the paperwork back in '48—it's Stiasny. It's a Moravian name, originating from Moravia, right next to the Czech Republic.
The Stiasny family made their way to America back when Cleveland was basically the capital of everything.
There you go. Now you know.

- banning foreclosures on primary residences

- cutting or completely scrapping certain taxes

- slapping bureaucrats with penalties if they don't pull their weight on time

- extending mortgage payment holidays from 2 months to 8 months for people who lose their jobs

Total science fiction for us Americans here.

People, get real—there are actually decent politicians out there, we just need to purge all this absolute garbage from our political system once and for all.

As for those two Albanian municipalities? They aren't going to cause any kind of instability—because even if they tried, they’d just end up getting shut down immediately.

So, all those wet dreams about America falling apart at the seams... honestly, you can only talk about that if you have absolutely no clue what's actually happening on the ground.

The truth is, in America, there was never really this intense, driving desire for an ethnically pure state, unlike what we've seen in certain other parts of the world.

Was it like that back in 1941 too?

Give me a break... 60% isn't exactly a massive majority...

"Get shut down"? Please... you should have said they're the ones pulling everyone else's strings!

😂 Talk about being "diplomatic," right? Typical.

But get this: to Mexicans, everything is Mexico. Everyone is a Mexican. From here to there, it’s all Mexican this and Mexican that. By that logic, if you look at a Canadian, he's basically just an Alpine Mexican who hasn't realized it yet. And of course, a Muslim doesn't know it either. Not to mention all those other "ignorant" folks desperately trying to wiggle out of this so-called "brotherly embrace"—which isn't brotherly at all...
The heartland is Mexico, and everything else is debatable...

Man, looks like Mexico is seriously bursting at the seams here. I mean, the Midwest is one thing, but what I’m actually getting at is way more intense; you’ve got Albanians in Preševo, Canadians in the Raška District, Bulgarians in Pirot... at this rate, we'll be seeing name changes in Central US before we know it!
Do you think this guy is actually deaf? in Miscellaneous ·
Do you honestly believe a guy should be walking around your local dive bar putting a little sign on the table just to let you know he’s deaf? Like, "Hey, I can't hear you, so maybe go ahead and grab a lighter or a calendar from me since I'm actually deaf..." Give me a break.
Northern Exposure (1990-1995) in TV Series ·
Remember that show..? A lot of the younger crowd today probably hasn't even heard of it, but if you grew up watching TV in the nineties, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
That series was an absolute masterpiece—it was pure escapism, like a cozy slice of Life in the North that just hit different.
Honestly, if I tried to explain why they don't run reruns anymore, it might be better to just leave it alone... I mean, who actually wants to go out looking for Life in the North anyway?
