Thank you for everything—every single lyric, every song, and every raw scream. You brought an incredible amount of energy to the stage, and you truly cared about your fans. I’m hoping that one day soon I’ll be able to accept that I’ll never hear your voice or see you perform again, but right now? I just can't. I'm still waiting for someone to shake me awake and tell me this isn't real.
wiredotter14 said:Which one specifically? If you aren't using genuine ink, there are plenty of cheap third-party colors out there for the Brother printer.
The Brother LC985 has actually been a total workhorse so far. I can't say for sure how it'll hold up long-term since I didn't buy it brand new, but so far, so good.
So, I finally ended up grabbing a Brother printer/scanner/copier combo—mostly just to tide me over until my other one inevitably dies on me. Honestly, I’d never even heard of this specific model before, but so far, it’s actually holding up pretty well. That said, I haven't really bothered to check how much the ink is going to run me.
I was scrolling through this list on Consumer Reports, but honestly, I’m stuck—should I go with HP or Canon? I wouldn't even consider anything else at this point. I need a setup with a printer, scanner, and copier for about $600—$233 basically what I shelled out for my last one before it completely died on me after just two years. I’m printing at least one 500-sheet ream a month, so it needs to actually hold up. And yeah, I don't mind using third-party ink; I can always just grab that stuff on eBay.
Unfortunately, I’m joining this conversation too. 😢 My Uncle hadn't had a single issue for a month before his stomach suddenly started hurting—and then they hit him with the news. It's esophageal cancer that's already spread to part of his stomach, liver, and lymph nodes. The doctors basically wrote him off initially, but after getting a second opinion, they're taking a stomach biopsy today to see if there's any chance he can actually undergo chemotherapy. Surgery isn't even an option because the main aorta is involved. I honestly don't know what to tell you all... we're going through absolute hell right now. We're just crying and asking ourselves "why?" 😢 My Uncle has always been healthy—he doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, works hard, eats well, and sticks to fruit juices. He's 68. I can't focus on anything else; I don't even know how I manage to get up for work in the morning. We find out about the chemo options tomorrow, and I am praying that it's at least still on the table. Also, which vitamins were you talking about in your last post? He’s going to try royal jelly and even look into some alternative medicine like herbal teas, though deep down, I know it probably won't do much. 😢
So, just to reiterate—and please set me straight if I’ve got this wrong (I was scrolling through that thread about the TV service being officially canceled via a notarized statement)—the collector showed up at my door this morning. I gave him my name, nothing else, and refused to let him inside the house or sign anything. He tried to play the tough guy, threatening me with lawsuits and demands for those unpaid bills from the last six months or so, but once I realized he actually has zero leverage here, I figured I could just ignore the notices entirely.
Honestly, this year has been hitting me harder than previous ones—it’s just been worse. Before, I was just taking Aerius and it did enough to keep the symptoms at bay, but this year (combined with some sinus issues), I felt this weird pressure in my lungs. Thankfully, that feeling has mostly passed, but there were moments where I felt like I had to consciously pull in more air just to feel okay. My spirometry results came back great, though my doctor still needs to go over the FeNO and nitric oxide nasal test results with me. As for the Ventolin, they told me to only use it as needed when breathing gets difficult—I actually only ended up using it once a few months ago.
People keep whining about how the dynasty is this or that—it's psychotic, and poor Hurem just got caught up in it. They claim she's partly responsible for the chaos within the dynasty—fathers turning against sons, best friends becoming enemies, a son trying to kill his own father, one sister losing her mind, and the Sultan being completely under Zenim's thumb. Then they argue that they’re all crazy and she’s just forced to defend herself. It's been said a thousand times that her struggle made sense at first because she was clueless, but then she started acting arrogant, behaving like she owned the place, getting rid of other girls, and throwing tantrums the moment Sulejman noticed her or Nigar told her what she could achieve. So, according to them, it's her own fault that the once-respected dynasty can't stand her now. But of course, there's always an excuse for some people, while others just get a pass. And then, whenever you post something someone disagrees with, they ask if we're even watching the show. No, sorry, I don't watch it—I'm clearly psychic and just know what's going to happen without tuning in.🙄
Maybe that last sentence is why they called it "attacking a user," though I honestly don't see how. Since when did sarcasm become a punishable offense? I'm not even sure which specific post I was referencing, but I really hope the post that got penalized—where my "interlocutor" implies we're all either sleeping or haven't watched the series since day one just because we defend a certain character—gets looked at too. It wouldn't be surprising if their tone wasn't being sarcastic either. I've been active on this forum for a long time—about five years now—and I've participated heavily in one specific thread without ever receiving a single warning, let alone penalty points or a strike. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but fewer and fewer people are actually contributing to the thread lately. It feels like the same few topics are constantly being dragged back up (which isn't your fault, obviously), and it's always the same group of people trolling or provoking everyone, yet they never seem to get touched and are just allowed to keep doing it. If you want proof, just look at pages 409 and 410—check out the posts from @Miss Angel and the ones from @tuncay and @denn30monn-a from tonight.
I have nothing to brag about regarding my post; it’s just what it is—offensive, except for the last part, where it isn't. I was just responding to the thread normally. My writing style—and yeah, maybe it’s sarcastic sometimes—isn't a punishable offense as far as I know. Sarcasm isn't an attack, and I wasn't even targeting anyone directly in my post. I just wrote that we all apparently watched the same show. And no, there isn't a question, because I understood the point, but I still don't see how sarcasm—which is just a way humans communicate (even if it's not always great)—is a crime.

As usual, you’ve jumped at every single chance to throw shade at "those people," "certain individuals," or "the opposition." Honestly? You just earned yourself a warning. This is about not attacking other users, plain and simple. I don't see a single actual question here. It's like you either didn't understand the point you made yourself—even after I repeated it back to you—or you're just using this entire thread as a stage to brag about your own post.
I can't seem to find the exact thread I was talking about.
Probably deleted, just like that entire string of posts written in the exact same style...
I’m honestly holding out hope that the post where my opponent claimed we all must be asleep or haven't watched a single episode of a series just because we’re defending a character gets nuked. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the moderator's tone wasn't being just as sarcastic as they were.
If they broke the rules, they get a strike and get booted. It’s that simple. I don't get it—do you seriously think being a jerk to other users instead of actually sticking to the topic is some kind of badge of honor? Using sarcasm as a weapon to dodge the actual conversation isn't a "plus," it's just bad behavior. 😕
I’ve been an active participant on this Reddit thread for quite some time now—we're talking five years deep—and I... I have absolutely never even been pulled aside for a warning, let alone been slapped with penalty points or a card. Not once..
Look, let’s be clear: you’ve racked up eleven separate infractions. That’s not a mistake; that’s a pattern. Even so, I’m giving you a break for now and handing you a formal warning—consider this your yellow card.
Is it just me, or has this entire thread gone completely silent? It feels like everyone has just packed up and left.
That’s just plain false. Not even close to the truth.
It’s because the same exact topics get dragged out over and over again—which, let’s be clear, isn't even your fault.
It’s not even about assigning blame anymore; it’s just a heavy cross we have to carry. We spend months, even years, scrolling through dozens of pages of the exact same repetitive nonsense multiple times a day. It’s exhausting. If you actually want to see progress, try steering the conversation toward something constructive for once—maybe then you’ll actually make an impact. Honestly, anything is better than that favorite little hobby of yours: obsessing over forum users and playing "team" politics.
It’s always the exact same crowd, constantly trolling and stirring the pot, yet nobody ever calls them out. We just sit here and let them run wild while they continue their little games.
I might as well just have this carved on my headstone. Unbelievable.

I already addressed the "targeting others" part above, but I'll just say this: this thread has had plenty of people targeting others in much worse ways (look, I don't have proof, so I can't prove anything here), but if my post counts as that, then fine, I'll take the warning. But again, I don't see anything wrong with sarcasm, and honestly, things have been way worse in this thread.

I know exactly what I've contributed to this thread. I talked about a previous thread where I was active for months and never once got a warning, a card, or any points. Has my writing style really changed that much in the last two years that I'm suddenly getting hit with all three at once?

Ever since I joined this thread, it's been nothing but cliques and people targeting users, plus constant attempts to drag the topic back to how things used to be by digging up old drama. There have also been blatant attempts to pivot back to the current plot—people trying to start new discussions—but usually without luck, because everyone insists this is one giant, interconnected saga that absolutely must be finished first. Individual requests haven't worked, whether they were mine or anyone else's.

There were only two pages where I didn't provide direct links; instead, I just cited the page numbers because they serve as perfect examples of what’s happening in this thread and why people keep complaining that nothing ever changes. Fine, in the future, I'll just report everything, though I'll probably just end up being the resident villain again because my reports won't count since the same patterns keep repeating. To add to that—this thread is dying, plain and simple. More than one person has mentioned they’re losing interest because they're tired of seeing the same thread, the same comments, and the same writing styles over and over. I don't think it's dying because the show itself isn't popular anymore; the problem is this specific discussion. For instance, we used to get five pages of posts every night after an episode aired, and now we barely get one. I'm not even going to address the comments about slytinker11 because I don't feel responsible for that. Maybe it's just the "old guard" left in this thread (there goes those "teams" again), but that certainly doesn't mean it's our fault. And if this isn't considered a sarcastic post aimed at others—which makes me wonder why it's even here—then I really don't know what sarcasm is supposed to look like.

@slytinker11/">@@slytinker11, I honestly don't get why you think my post was aimed at you—and why you decided to single me out when we all basically said the same thing? It’s also weird that you're acting like this whole thread revolves around you, jumping in just to defend yourself. The truth is, this discussion has devolved into exactly what I hate—there’s zero actual reasoning left. It’s just people shouting my character is better because mine is mine, and as for any real debate? Forget about it. If we can't all agree on the same person, people just start throwing provocations. Honestly, why even waste the breath? I've already said everything I have to say. I just hope this thread becomes a bit more civilized in the future.
northernpilot2 said:Rachel Davis, what other complaints are we talking about?
Look, just give us specific links to what you're actually complaining about. Writing vague, general gripes doesn't accomplish anything—it’s useless and nothing gets resolved that way.
If you've been paying any attention to what we've been saying, you already know exactly where we stand—everyone basically said the same thing regarding what's bothering us. There is so much going on in that thread that it's impossible to single out one specific thing, since new issues pop up every single day. Besides, I don't think it's my job to dig through the entire thread and summarize everything when we've already laid it all out there. It's honestly a shame; the thread started off so well.
There was an absolute mountain of rage thrown around regarding Suleiman the Magnificent, yet nobody stepped up to address it. We finally sorted out the nicknames—mostly just to see how things play out—but what about the rest of the complaints? There is no way in hell that those nicknames were the biggest issue here.
Only the three of us were participating in the Offtopic section, and we didn't get a single warning—honestly, I thought whoever reported us would at least have the decency to show up in the thread. But then, suddenly, people are getting warnings over the Soap thread just because of their nicknames, and now everything is apparently fair game again. I just want to know if anyone is actually going to do anything about the complaints we filed.
The reports were being filed via PDF files—there was a clear warning posted saying you shouldn't insult the characters—but despite all that, people just kept going at certain characters anyway. Now, suddenly, it’s perfectly fine to slap nicknames on everyone regardless of who they are? And somehow, we’re the ones getting blamed for it, even though warnings were already put up regarding certain users before? Clans are allowed, and honestly, I welcome them because they actually help people understand the series better. But what’s happening in this thread isn't "better understanding" or even a healthy debate. It’s just constant provocation and picking fights every single day. We aren't even discussing the show anymore—we're just dealing with unhinged, baseless posts like "my character is better just because I say so" or "how could you possibly support XY." We aren't children,
Look, as much as I enjoyed this at first—and please, don't bring Suleiman the Magnificent into this—I have to admit I've been pretty unhappy with the vibe here lately. It honestly sucks because I was actually looking forward to discussing every new episode, and it would be a real shame if I had to stop commenting altogether. It’s totally normal for cliques to form in a discussion thread since we all see the show through different lenses, but what I can't stand is the constant badgering some of us face from others. No matter what you write, people just mock you or try to bait you into a fight. It’s gotten to the point where I actually hesitate before typing anything because I didn't come here to get bullied. I'm starting to wonder if certain people are just straight-up trolls—you know, the type who defend one specific character no matter what, lack any sense of objectivity, and just relentlessly attack anyone else. If you dare say one thing against the lead character, there isn't even a debate; it’s just an immediate ambush. I even got hit with a few penalty points myself because I was told "don't make it personal," yet when I reported a post where I was personally targeted, I have no idea if anything was actually done. Then there’s the whole issue with "off-topic" comments being strictly forbidden—which is why our thread was locked and why some of us got warnings—even when the off-topic stuff is actually about the show or historical facts, like what Blood dim mentioned. Last night, I noticed that even the moderator and a handful of others drifted into off-topic territory again, but of course, nobody was warned and nothing was deleted. It also really bothers me how Angela Edwards66 is specifically targeted. Whatever she writes, it seems to rub people the wrong way, and they immediately jump on her with mockery and provocation. We all have a right to our own opinions, right? It feels like some people are actively trying to rack up as many warnings or bans as possible just to reach their ultimate goal. And then we get to the nicknames used for characters. If calling someone Huremketina is considered offensive because of what it implies, then what about the other slurs being thrown around? Or being called "mahnitalan"? I haven't seen the moderators call those out; they only stepped in because that first nickname carries negative connotations and needs to stop. The other insults are allowed and used constantly. Like Angela Edwards66 said, I might start reporting the other names too, just to see if anyone actually reacts. wiredwolf442—look, even if one or two of his posts were a bit much, I still back him up because he was one of the rare ones actually trying to stay objective. But when the entire thread is geared toward inciting fights and farming penalties, it’s hardly surprising he ended up banned.
I’m asking the moderators to please clean this place up. Like wiredwolf442 pointed out before, there used to be so many more comments and active contributors here. Now, everything feels watered down because, frankly, people don't feel comfortable participating anymore—and I certainly don't.

Try leaning harder into fruits and vegetables, maybe some honey—though skip the cheap stuff from the grocery store aisle—and if you aren't dealing with any other health issues, grab some mineral water with a decent amount of magnesium and calcium. And please, get some sleep. I’ve always been prone to allergies, and I’ve learned the hard way that if I don't get enough rest, my reactions are significantly more brutal than when I'm actually well-rested. Also, if you think dust or dust mites might be the culprit, try placing a clean terry cloth towel under your head every night just to see if it makes a difference by morning. And if you've been sleeping with the window open, isn't it possible that pollen is the real villain here? That stuff is usually at its worst in the early morning hours.
I went through the exact same thing. I had this constant mucus buildup in my throat—especially at night and first thing in the morning—that left me coughing constantly, and I even had wheezing in my chest twice. I finally saw an ENT who gave me a thorough exam and told me I had a severe sinus infection that was being made ten times worse by my grass allergies (it was all draining down my throat). I ended up on antibiotics for two weeks, using a nasal spray, and they even recommended I get a spirometry test. Now that I've moved back into my old apartment, it feels like everything is coming back—the coughing and all that—so I'm honestly going to have to move again.
Can anyone recommend a solid dermatologist in San Diego? I’ve had zero luck finding anyone decent lately—back home I found this amazing doctor, but she's way too far away from me now.
Does anyone have a solid dermatologist recommendation in San Diego? I’ve already seen Dr. Gertrude and some woman—I think her name is Diana—and honestly, it was a total letdown. I've been dealing with breakouts, and while things are actually looking great right now (after struggling for seven long years!), I finally found an incredible dermatologist in Key West whom I trust implicitly. The catch is that I need monthly facial cleanings, and there's just no way I can make the trip down to Key West that often. So, I'm looking for someone local in San Diego instead. I really need someone I can actually trust—I am definitely not trying to ruin seven years of hard-won progress.
I just finished the whole trilogy and was totally hooked, so I was genuinely curious about how they’d handle the movie adaptation. I’d heard people weren't exactly thrilled with it, and since I know movies almost always fall short of the books, I didn't go into the theater with huge expectations. But—honestly?—the film actually surprised me in the best way possible. The acting was solid, they stuck pretty close to the source material, and the plot held up well. My only real gripe is that they messed up some of the terminology; they kept saying "demon" when it's actually supposed to be pronounced "daemon"—you know, like the author explicitly mentions in the book's preface. Also, I think it's Mrs. Coulter, though maybe I'm just misremembering that part from my reading. Anyway, I really liked the movie. Obviously, the books are superior, but the film is a total win.
