Susan Wright10 said:Hi everyone, having worked in banking myself, I want to try and clarify things because it's clear people are panicking. The fear felt by depositors is completely understandable, which is why so many are rushing to grab their money. However, you also have to realize that it's the depositors themselves who create these liquidity crises; no bank can survive a sudden mass withdrawal without intervention from the owners or the Federal Reserve. Both the bank and the Federal Reserve should have communicated this much more clearly to the entire country. Since the owner has stepped away, the Federal Reserve is stepping in to fix the liquidity issues. From what I understand, JPMorgan Chase has a solid asset base consisting of receivables that will eventually be collected, they just won't hit all at once since loans don't mature as fast as people demand their deposits. The issue might affect those who need cash immediately, but I wouldn't worry about whether everyone gets paid back. You have to remember that banking is a highly regulated industry, and beyond the quality loans mentioned in the latest report, there is a twenty percent reserve held at the Federal Reserve, which is plenty of coverage. Problems only arise when a bank's business model fails and they can't collect on bad loans, which isn't the case here. The bottom line is that this isn't a failure of management, so I'm not worried that people won't get their money. Hang in there.
The latest guidelines aren't particularly clear to me. If my child tests positive but we’re still living under the same roof, am I required to self-isolate as a caregiver? I have received my booster shot,

I’m telling you, it was a total headache; I spent the entire day dealing with this nonsense.🤦
What did you put down as the reason? For one time or longer?

How does this actually work? Is owning a farm required, or is just having the land enough? This is for a neighboring township. One person in the household would be seeking permission to monitor the property left by their grandfather. There have been thefts in the village already, so maybe it would be reasonable to show up at least once a week.
Still recovering. I have some leftover pieces from before. Probably just their envelopes. If things don't clear up by the next checkup, I might need a curettage. Honestly, this feels like a vacation right now—just anesthesia and hospital vibes. 😉 Everything is chaotic at home too, especially since a guest is coming over all day tomorrow. She’s bringing another Baby Bjorn bouncer. Since I’m flying solo lately, I feed them myself just to keep things calm if anyone else starts panicking. I also figured out how to use that triangular pillow; maybe I'll just leave them in it on the couch if things get urgent. Our pediatrician said I shouldn't overeat, but I hate it when they spit up because I ate too much. I really need to find someone to deep clean the sectional. After that, I'll just put down some protectors until the first milestone.
Mine are pretty similar. Once I put shorts on them, they just strip right out of them. They aren't fans of socks or blankets either. We have some flannel ones from Target that are great. My mom even bought some matching fabric by the yard and made extra for us. We’re using NovaLAC now, which is supposed to help with colic. They also have a nighttime version. I'm looking forward to trying that once the gas issues pass, because I don't think they're getting full enough. P.S. Our stroller actually passed the test at the Walmart checkout. We managed to fold it down small enough to fit in my compact car with the groceries. I’m actually quite happy with it. The baskets are textile, but since the base is wood, I was able to remove the handle to make it fit.
It’s our first day flying solo. I’m already exhausted because one was up from 2 to 5, then fell asleep on me at 5, only to ask for food at 6. The other was awake from 2 to 4. Dad tried helping us settle them, but by 3 we realized he needed sleep too since he just went back to work (waiting on being laid off). If they had slept through the night, things would be much easier. We take them everywhere with us, and even when we have to step out to burp them—since they eat constantly—people always comment on how small they are. Ours feel huge already. Even $17 got one from a woman.
We bought a carrier, but my knee hurts whenever the baby is in it. That’s why I keep mentioning swimming; using fins is probably the best fix for this. If I had two in there, I couldn't handle it. Just seeing how tiny they are when I put them in the carrier makes me think some mom bigger than me could probably carry two without an issue. At least while they're still this small. Emily Garcia10, they've grown so much. And just how much milk do you have? 🙂 Mine eat the most but get the least. I mentioned they poop too much, but they also use up too much. When they're awake, it's because of the cramps and their legs just won't stop moving. It's like they're on batteries. There is no point in touching my breast right now because her behavior makes no sense due to the hormones. Once things settle down, they will either puncture her again or remove the pure KeraStat. Frequent punctures don't make sense since she'd need antibiotics whenever they touch her. A puncture is a procedure. My stomach is dark, almost like I'm Black. I only had a single line before giving birth. Then it stretched out. There is a similar line on my legs, but smaller. Early on, even I thought it was just dirt. I haven't noticed stretch marks, though I wasn't looking. I don't apply anything because we all know how little time we have to wait for cream to dry. Maybe I'll start using Bio-Oil since I still have some. You know what my pediatrician told me? It's great our kids were born in the summer. They have a chance to get through those first few months without viruses and stuff, and by the time winter hits, they'll be bigger. When things get hard like tonight—since they were impossible from 7 PM to 1 AM and then again from 4 AM to 5 AM—it helps to think it can't get worse than this (worse would be if they were sick, too). Yesterday, from noon to 4 PM, we were at the beach (in a cafe and in the shade). They were better behaved than other people's kids. They just ate and slept. Once we get home, they act possessed. I'm thinking about not taking them out anymore; maybe they'll behave better at home.
They're eating more now. It was 7 doses of 120ml and 3 times a day for the eye drops. Now they've dropped to 6 doses and they go once a day. Luckily their systematic check went great, since my own follow-ups aren't. Mine came back clear too. It's at 4cm now, down from 6cm last time. They didn't biopsy it because the fluid inside is thin. I guess they won't touch it until it starts hurting. Right now, I just feel it. The gum check wasn't perfect either. I have to go back in three weeks. If it doesn't clean up completely, I'll probably need a curettage. I got permission to go to the beach. We were there around noon. They were grabbing coffee while I went for a swim.🙂
I’m heading to Target 🙂 It's nice that you wrote all that out; I guess you feel a bit relieved after venting. How much do yours eat in one sitting?
Mine get cramps during the night. Both of them tonight. In the end, warm compresses helped the most. We picked up that cherry stone pillow from Target. Every night we think we've finally found the solution, but maybe it's just wishful thinking. In the morning they are wonderful and everything is forgotten 🙂 Mine's clear now, but since there's no pain, we're leaving it alone for now. I hope the lack of pain isn't because I'm still on antibiotics. I have an appointment with my OBGYN this afternoon. I'm hoping to get cleared for the beach, even though I'm still using drops. P.s. mine already have their favorite little song: dudie, dudice from Phantom
Just finished the first checkup 🙂 Today marks exactly five weeks and three days. The smaller one is 8.2 lbs and the larger one is 8.8 lbs. They've grown about an inch. The pediatrician says they’re doing fine and the next visit is in two months. She mentioned we shouldn't overfeed them (they're getting about 4 oz every few hours, roughly seven times a day). We actually went out to a restaurant later since they were being so good, though they cried at the doctor's office. And naturally, they threw up while we were getting ready at home.
My sisters are currently pregnant, so I can't speak from personal experience. I guess they say it follows the maternal line every other generation anyway.
I'm starting this thread specifically for moms of twins so we don't clutter the pregnancy board. 🙂> Back in the summer of 2018, four pairs of twins were born to mothers who connected here, which I guess made the pregnancy and those first few days a bit easier since they had support. 🙂> Maybe some other moms will decide to share their own stories too.
It isn't that I'm annoyed; it's just funny to me. My parents and his parents are actually more worried about us having twins than we are. Since both sets of parents are older, we aren't really expecting much help anyway, but they still think we're in trouble. They can already see that I’d rather hire a cleaning service than bother them. Our main priority is just making sure everyone stays healthy. My boyfriend was also stressed, but he ended up stopping some people on the street while he had the twins with him, and that made him feel better. They explained that the first three months are the hardest, but it gets easier after that. Hopefully, our babies will be easygoing. I think my due date is in August, so I'm hoping he can take three weeks of vacation like he did last year.
The absolute dumbest comment (and we’ve barely even started). I finally head out to an ATM in town (my feet were killing me). I run into two friends. They convince me to show them my belly, they take one look and shout: "That's just fat." That is exactly what every pregnant woman expecting twins wants to hear when she's facing all those complications. And it isn't fat. I didn't have that before three months ago, and I'm barely eating anything just so I don't throw up.
I’ve concluded that I have some fatty tissue buildup on my upper eyelid (mostly small ones) and one larger bump right on the lid margin. The ophthalmology department at my local hospital sent me home because my vision isn't impaired. They didn't give me an actual diagnosis, just noted a hard lump under the skin. I booked an appointment with an ophthalmologist who performs eye surgeries (like pterygium removal), but they can't see me for another week. Reading through this thread, I guess I might have made a mistake by not seeing a dermatologist instead. Since I'm paying out of pocket, I don't want to waste time or money, so I suppose I need some advice.
It’s been a while since I was in the city, and this is my first Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. How cold is it at the stadium? I guess there might be heavy rain on Tuesday or maybe just drizzle. I assume umbrellas won't be allowed.
