I guess the rule is kind of silly, honestly. It feels like any user who’s actually aiming for permanent status could just easily bait the admins into giving them a Ban. Maybe that's just how it works, but it seems a bit pointless to me.

(Perma)Banned users can't actually DM a moderator or an admin since their messaging is blocked, so they usually just start a thread with their appeal over in the "ban corner" subforum, where the right moderator or admin can weigh in on the situation.
From what I know, it's against the rules to post using a clone account if the original one is currently under a Ban or permabanned.😉
Of course, I suppose the real question is how easy it would be to get caught.

The President only discusses things with the moderation and admin teams. A user who's banned isn't allowed to take part in other discussions or even reach out to other forum members.

I was just wondering, could you actually classify certain kinds of annoying posting styles as trolling? I’m thinking about things like using massive or super blurry fonts, those neon colors that hurt your eyes, or just dumping heaps of emojis everywhere until the whole post looks like some kind of circus act. Maybe also when someone keeps spamming posts one after another just to bypass the limits set by the admins?
I should probably mention that I'm not talking about a one-off thing here—it's more like a regular habit that shows up in pretty much every single post they make.
I know, I know, people will probably say "well, you can always just block them," but if we go down that road, we might as well scrap all the community rules entirely and just say "just block everyone who bothers you."

Well, I don't think that's (only) the issue. I mean, who's actually going to guarantee that the donated money goes toward making the forum better instead of Mr. Anderlon just tucking it away in his own pocket?
If we're really doing donations, there probably needs to be some kind of oversight. So, maybe the forum shouldn't just be run by a private company, but should instead become a non-profit organization.
Just look at the Blue Paw Foundation (which is honestly one of the nicest communities on the internet, by the way). Non-profits have their own bank accounts, which makes it easy for people to donate, and all the expenses are backed up by receipts. They regularly update everyone on how the money was used, too. That’s how you build the trust needed for people to actually want to give.
I honestly can't imagine who would be naive enough to just hand over money to Mr. Anderlon—I mean, let's face it, this whole forum is basically his business and his way of making a living, right? I guess there might be some people willing to do it, which is honestly pretty sad if you ask me ☕
Especially considering how little he's actually shown he cares about this place lately. Personally, I wouldn't give him a single cent. There are just too many things going on here that are totally rotten, and it has nothing to do with the technical side of the site.

There’s actually a script out there that handles liking or upvoting posts. It pings the user when they get a like, and you can even set it up to show total counts per user, or even run a global leaderboard for top likers and receivers...
