rapidjackal16 said:So, let me ask you guys something—are you actually on the right track? Like, do you honestly feel like you are, or are you just kind of drifting through the motions?

Nah, I'm just stuck in neutral. It’s definitely not a good feeling. You've gotta pick a direction and just go... take it easy on yourself, though. Still, I guess you need a partner to really find that happiness. That's just what my gut—or maybe my subconscious—is telling me...
rapidjackal16 said:@David Green11, I’m totally with you on how you see things... I just wanted to clear up 🙂

I mean, yeah, when everything is clicking, life just feels easy and smooth... but there are always red flags popping up everywhere... it really just comes down to whether we choose to ignore them or actually face them...🙂

As for figuring out the whole "meaning of life" thing? Honestly, I think I'll just wait until I'm dead to solve that one... because right now, in this lifetime, I am just not built for it, truthfully 🙂

Hard times don't last forever, and strong people always pull through :-)

It’s like nothing else matters anymore. I remember reading somewhere that money has basically become the new God. And honestly? They aren't wrong.

For me, though, I think you can tell if you're "on the right track" by that gut feeling, you know? That sense of balance or an inner voice guiding you. I don't mean like a perfect life where nothing ever goes wrong or there are zero hurdles—that's impossible. I just mean that deep-down feeling that you're exactly where you need to be at the right time, no matter how chaotic things get.

If I'm being totally real with myself, I feel like I drifted off course a while back, and now I'm just kind of hacking my way through the woods trying to find my way back to the main road. I'm just hoping to catch a glimpse of it soon 🙂

God, give me the courage to change what I can, the patience to accept what I can't, and the wisdom to actually tell the difference....just gotta keep my head up and push through...

Alexander Price74 said:Staying on topic here... I’m no theology expert, but this thread got my brain spinning:
Does gaining knowledge actually drive us away from God? If so, why would He even bother giving it to us if it just distances us from Him or our spiritual side?
And didn't we essentially "fall" just because we were hungry for knowledge?
Hey, Benedict XVI/Archontonis/Dalai Lama... am I totally missing the mark here?

Ignorance is just the starting line for true understanding... humans haven't known nearly enough yet... the real books provide a roadmap for understanding nature, and an ignorant person can't even begin to grasp God

Sophia Cooper2 said:Jesus prayed to God for salvation and He answered him, lifting him up... he didn't actually die... which is exactly what the Bible shows if you actually bother to read it with a bit of logic.

So how do you explain Muhammad feeling so much fear for his life while he was receiving the Quran? Wouldn't it make more sense for the final and greatest prophet to be protected so His revelation wouldn't be lost? Wouldn't God have shielded Muhammad?...

When discussing whether Jesus was a historical figure, people rely on data and records from historians who were actually living through those times and documenting history.Every single one of those individuals theologians list as evidence for Jesus being a historical person is a lie. They weren't even born during the era when Jesus lived. How can you claim someone existed when the accounts only started appearing 100 years later? It's just more lies and manipulation used by religions to manufacture proof where none exists. Quite frankly, God isn't answering their prayers. If their God even exists, He isn't "listening" to them via prayer, telepathy, or whatever else they try.

🤣 And you're well on your way to becoming a legend yourself.

hehe,...😂

Look, math doesn't always have to follow the rules of physics—that’s exactly why we have complex numbers to handle square roots of negative values.

Alright, math is the queen of science. I'm not mad. Don't be either. Honestly, this is kind of fun. But I don't really get your take on faith. I've never known anyone who tried to force someone into a church or a religion. Growing up, I used to question my late mother and my old neighborhood priest about God all the time. They never got offended; we'd usually just end up laughing about it...

To be fair, if I hadn't said anything, nobody would've even noticed. It was just about the "food selection" at our local diner...

bluebison25 said:@silentridge8: So, what, we’re supposed to just swallow everything Ivancic writes because he’s some big-shot academic? In another article—written by an atheist, mind you—he presents the exact same evidence that Ivancic uses, leaving the reader to decide for themselves if it holds water. Get it now? The only difference is that you and people like you have to swallow the crap everyone else left behind just so you can feel superior in your faith. I don't have to play along. Is that clear enough for you?

@rapidbear65: Spot on. You can't force me to believe in something I can't see, touch, hear, or verify through actual observation. If it hasn't been witnessed, learned by human reason, and backed up by natural and physical evidence, it isn't real to me.

@silentridge8: I know exactly what you're getting at. Honestly, you aren't saying anything different from me 😁.

Since I can't personally see or feel what you're talking about, I'll leave it to you to smell, touch, and taste everything you offered us. That way, you'll be able to convince yourself of exactly what we already know without even trying... cheers!

bluebison25 said:Do you even grasp the distinction between "believing" and actually knowing? You claim: "most historians today believe that Jesus..." Look, honey, I couldn't care less what anyone chooses to believe. I don't buy into those fairy tales, and that’s what matters most to me. Most people will follow the crowd—let them. As for that slim little atheist manifesto that dismantled all of Miller's lies, at least the author cited his sources while systematically tearing his arguments apart. Whether you liked it or not is irrelevant. Your church is just out for your wallet.

I'm lost again?? Believing = not knowing, disbelieving = knowing. There’s zero logic there, even if I am just some uneducated driver... You can't force someone to believe without proof. How did you even start disbelieving when nobody can ever prove that God doesn't exist? It makes no sense! Cheers!

bluebison25 said:Ivancic laid out what he claims is undeniable proof regarding the existence of Jesus. Of course, other people—mostly historians—actually looked at that evidence, applied actual logic, and used scientific reasoning to dismantle his lies. I don't know why you guys struggle so much to grasp that...

@silentridge8: You're talking about the exact same "undeniable" evidence that you believers were clinging to just a moment ago.

Do you even realize that science isn't in the business of proving the existence of God or Jesus??
Don't you get that you can't prove something that doesn't exist and never did??
Do you understand that when those texts from theologians, priests, and other believers about the "proven existence of the Almighty" are published, and you try to label them as "scientific facts," they are debunked instantly? They are never, ever used to explain the laws of nature or physics!

Take "undeniable evidence" and then just use logic to disprove it??? I'm a driver. That makes zero sense to me. Honestly, I didn't quite catch what spot perdita was getting at. Can you explain that a bit more? Cheers!

bluebison25 said:Look, I wasn't planning on arguing with you about this, but I don't want to come off as rude, so here's the bottom line: Ivancic wrote that book right here under this title. In it, Ivancic lists all the "irrefutable evidence" proving that Jesus of Nazareth was a real person. I actually did some digging and found a text that takes every single one of Ivancic's "proofs" and explains them for what they actually are—no twisting facts, no lies, and no religious dogma—and every single piece of evidence points away from Jesus existing. But honestly, it doesn't matter; you're already convinced Ivancic is right, and that's clearly the only thing you care about. 👍

It makes zero sense to claim someone is a historical figure and then immediately deny they ever existed??? Honestly, any smart person would see through that kind of logic...

If you actually bother to look at the imagery, everyone on the altar looks frail, thin, and utterly broken, acting as if they don't even exist—
while the real leaders in the crowd are simply the ones who refuse to stop groveling.
As for Jesus, he’s a decent enough figure, regardless of whether the history books actually back him up or not.

Man, listen to you. This Catholic isn't afraid of God, people, or even death. The only thing I'm actually scared of is myself and how I live my life. That version of Mass you're describing? Never seen it before...

Olivia Kern3 said:The real reason? It’s because Christians were busy burning anything they deemed "pagan." From the 4th century onward, they torched libraries, wiped out piles of ancient texts, leveled temples, shut down philosophy schools, and even banned the Olympic Games. Honestly, they were probably the biggest dark ages troublemakers the world has ever seen. Luckily, the Arabs were much sharper at the time. They actually preserved those great European thinkers like Plato by keeping them in manuscripts, which is the only reason we know anything about them today. Things are different now, obviously, but I think it's important to be honest about how things actually went down.

Man, you really know the "dark side" of Christianity. You should ask your old man about those honorable sisters over at the Cabin. And that’s not even all of it. Explain this to me though... I know the Turks were advanced in certain sciences for a while, but how was Muhammad illiterate? Who actually wrote the first Quran? Seems like more of my fellow vassals are popping up on this forum! Cheers!...

Benjamin Taylor6 said:Every superpower has its era. Back in the Middle Ages, there were several crusades fought in His name. As a direct consequence of one of those conflicts, you had looting and the occupation of San Diego. Those miserable crusaders didn't even have enough money for a plane ticket to the Middle East 😢😲😁

Christ was sleeping again, instead of appearing on the city walls to tell His soldiers to stop wasting their time on such foolishness.😢🙂🙂

Spot on. But those Crusaders went from San Diego all the way to Istanbul and back. Our parents raise us and provide for us, and that’s pretty much it. After that, we make our own calls. We don't always follow their lead, and they can't protect us forever. It's the same way God taught us through Jesus. Now it's up to us. Peace!

Benjamin Taylor6 said:Well, let’s be real—Jesus Christ was essentially snoring through the Middle Ages. And because of that, the Middle Eastern nations were lightyears ahead of everyone else in Europe back then. Even China was a massive superpower during that era.
Then, suddenly, Christ woke up—maybe 200 or 300 years ago—and jumpstarted the whole scientific and industrial revolution across Europe and America. It was like a princess came along and shook him awake. 🙂🙂😁
It’s thanks to that awakening that both Europe and America became the powerhouses they are today.

"JESUS CHRIST" was actually struggling and bleeding out back then, my friend Benjamin Taylor6. He took a hit from their sword. Once he pushed back against those Islamic blades, we saw the Renaissance happen, if I remember right. We weren't just spreading faith; we were gathering knowledge too. I can tell exactly who’s looking for a handout and who actually respects the host... Global power centers always shift. Now it's Europe and the USA's turn. Just imagine if the power had stayed in Iran or North Korea instead?

While it is unlikely that we will colonize Mars or the Moon within our lifetimes, nor will we discover extraterrestrial life on other planets anytime soon, we cannot simply dismiss these theories, as most of them will eventually come to fruition in the future.

But in this age of Facebook, iPods, hybrids, robotics, and high-performance processors... my God... and this has been the trajectory for the last 2,000 years. 🤷 As for the gods prior to that period... I have no desire to go down that path.

posavac....🤣

Proudly representing my roots! You honestly think Jesus Christ and religion haven't shaped science? Look at where modern civilization actually thrives today... Is it in China? Tibet? India? The Middle East? Or right here in the West? It’s built on Christian foundations. Just imagine if those other places had this kind of spiritual momentum... I’ve already got the answer ready for whatever you ask next. Peace!...

bluebison25 said:Why do you religious types even bother commenting on matters of science? Your entire existence is built on faith, which is really just a polite way of saying ignorance. You’ve allowed yourselves to swallow dozens of claims without ever bothering to fact-check them. Now, the second we try to put those claims to the test, you all start panicking. Why is that? What's the issue? I’ll say it again: you aren't actually living in faith; you're just pretending to be that devout to look good.

Who?? That panic is coming from how "smart" you think you are. You're really just here for the entertainment. Besides, being a person of faith doesn't mean you can't know science too. If it weren't for the Church, you'd probably be out there studying Arabic and living as a devout Muslim. And if you actually knew how to write, you'd be doing it with some old-school quill and ink. Forget about using a MacBook or an iPad... you'll just be lucky if you get enough cash for some weed.

If you truly believe you are hearing the voice of God—an assertion you maintain by claiming to have attained some divine enlightenment, blah, blah...—then I suggest it might be time to consult a psychiatrist. With all due respect, auditory hallucinations can be a serious matter. I have read extensively on the subject.🤣

And let me be clear: this isn't an ad hominem attack, nor am I attempting to strike at your character. It is simply absurd to me that in the 21st century, while we sit at the absolute pinnacle of technological advancement, our collective mental state remains stuck somewhere in the Dark Ages.

Peak technological power??? What are you even talking about?? Technology is just like the steam engine was back then for us. Honestly, most regular people living normal lives don't even realize how far tech has actually gone because it's not part of our daily grind. It stays hidden from us. You, Key, and Rebul actually have a real reason to doubt that God distributes intelligence evenly. But hey, maybe?? maybe you guys are just lucky. They say some people get it high while others get it low... life finds a way to balance things out...
