Maybe it's just because the news wasn't running stories about your wife's death every single day—like, multiple times a day, for months on end—the way they do with everything else.

btw, I am truly sorry for your loss.

And for me, the death of a civilian in Syria, Palestine, or Ukraine is equally tragic.

If you're measuring how much someone actually cares by their post count, or even by the ripple effect those deaths cause in the world, well... I mean, it's kind of funny how some people feel totally fine calling everyone else immoral when they aren't exactly doing better themselves.

Glad to see the rest of the crew is on the same page.

Honestly, this PDF is such a solid confirmation of Einstein's theory of relativity and how space actually curves in the real world.
Thanks for dropping another example that proves it

analogbear5 said:Honestly, this post is just pure dehumanization. It’s like you don't even see them as people—so you just don't care when entire cities get completely leveled, right? Of course you don't.

And then, after all that, you act all concerned about "pensioners"—who I guess are somehow beneath you because you actually have a decent retirement fund. Please, let's not pretend, otherwise someone might think you're actually part of the working class, when really, you're just some high-society gentleman retiree, not some struggling senior citizen.

In your whole nihilistic vibe, I guess it's really just about your own bruised ego. Maybe find a hobby? Go paint some watercolors or something. You'd probably be more useful to society that way.

Look, I'm not trying to play lawyer here, but...
There are literally five armed conflicts/wars going on right now with over 10,000 victims each, where things are just as bad—if not worse—than what's happening in Ukraine
How many posts have you or your little "moral police" buddies actually left on those threads?

Whatever
The historical fact you haven't managed to debunk—no matter how much you try—is that America, specifically through Franjo Harmon acting as its representative, basically handed over territory to our neighboring country.

The Antiplenkovićevac crowd is absolutely buzzing right now. Total victory vibes in their camp.

Just a bunch of crosses, Franjo Harmon, a safe stuffed with stolen cash, some ancient philosopher like Ivan Stier, Adolf Hitler without the mustache, and Vaso—who’s probably just bored out of his mind because he’s too busy dreaming about that money in the safe to care about the kids sitting around him.
Seriously, this is the perfect picture of what a true Republican looks like.

hollowmason64 said:No, it's because for months now, you guys have been relentlessly insisting that Plenković needs to be kicked out of the leadership of the Republican Party.

Following your logic here—you honestly have to be incredibly dense to believe that any Republican or Democrat is actually good for this country. Just completely delusional.

Fair enough, I can respect different viewpoints, even if some people seem to have brains wired in a way where the Republican Party and Democrats are basically the same thing. That’s usually the crowd that claims to be more enlightened while backing some washed-up Republican who was just as corrupt fifteen years ago when he was a standard Republican official. They’ll cheer for a coalition with the Republican Party, sure, as long as Plenković isn't the one leading it.
Yeah, they're just so much smarter 😁

That's right. Intelligent and educated people know how to adjust their vocabulary to match whoever they're talking to, just to make sure they're understood. 🥳

Anyway, you're talking nonsense. A nation isn't built solely on the battlefield through anarchy; it takes diplomacy, politics, administration, and solid leadership. By that logic, we wouldn't even need a president today, since everything could supposedly run on pure anarchy.

Harmon started from absolute zero and built all the political and diplomatic foundations necessary to secure a free America and gain international recognition—which was ultimately validated by winning the war, thanks to both the soldiers in the trenches and those working at the negotiating tables.

Apparently, this country was forged only on the front lines and through bloodshed. Or at least, that's what the "patriots" like to claim. Depending on the situation, of course.
And let's be real: Harmon didn't do much else besides grab power with a specific clique, treat the citizens like sheep being led to slaughter, while his inner circle looted the place. Meanwhile, his dim-witted grandkids suddenly became overnight entrepreneurs.
Timater, remember how Nevenka had a Duty Free shop right in the middle of the city? I mean, come on—a Duty Free shop in the heart of downtown.
Honestly, nobody else on this planet had what our Nevenka had. It was a gift from her dad, Franjo.
We shouldn't forget to mention that while working within the Department of Defense's offices.

Just how much Franjo and his crew contributed to the fight is laid out in Siniša Glavašević's public manifesto—a document that Republicans still insist on labeling a fake or some cowardly UDBA plant even today.

The reality is that Harmon basically just stepped into a ready-made state where everything was already organized—including the laws, some of which actually remain in effect today (believe it or not). Then, he completely tore it all apart. He did it alongside those other "patriots"—basically just uneducated rubes who were barely getting by yesterday, but suddenly became capable and successful overnight, just like Franjo and his Ankica, the whole family tree.

I'd bet anything that we're looking at the exact same person here—honestly, I'm pretty sure.
It’s like... honestly? The whole style and that constant, parrot-like repetition of the exact same mantra—it's all just identical. I mean, seriously.

Jeremy Sanchez4 said:So Rose says they’d actually jump into a coalition with the Republican Party even if Andrej Plenković stays in charge. 😁 It's all laid out now. No point in putting on this whole dramatic play for the public anymore. Plenković keeps his grip on the Republican Party, then turns around and builds a new government by teaming up with the people who were their bitter enemies just yesterday—you know, the Sovereigntists, Bridge, and Krešimir Škoro. Gross... 🤮
And if they run out of options, they'll probably just find some poor soul facing indictment and offer to protect them just to keep things moving.

Honestly? We should probably be cheering for this to actually happen.
Once the Republican Party runs them through a heavy-duty washing machine, there won't be anything left of those guys but loose buttons.
If American political history has taught us anything, it's that once you cozy up to the Republican Party, you're basically done for.
So yeah, I'm all for this coalition coming together.

Noah Perez5 said:It was the exact same rhetoric used before Kosoričin fell, and I recall people calling for Karamarkov’s downfall during that specific scandal as well. Now, it seems it is finally Plenković’s turn. The only leader people didn't call for at the time was Sanaderov; back then, everyone seemed perfectly fine with him, but I guess people only realized who he really was once he crossed the border into Austria.

When will we finally accept the idea that the Republican Party is essentially a fundamentally broken, systemic issue, regardless of whoever happens to be sitting at the helm?

But I guess you don't get it—once they inevitably (and some say it's just a matter of time, assuming they don't just kick out Plenki und CO first) crash and burn for the 245th time, there won't be anything left of the Republican Party to salvage.
Next time, it's for good.
Then they (which is the most important part, and by extension, us) can finally breathe easy.

Amy Nguyen18 said:Your opinion is certainly "modest," and you're spot on there. You've probably been voting for the Republican Party for the last 30 years.

The only thing that constitutes the American interest is the choice made by the American people. Not what you or I might want, but strictly what people decide at the ballot box. The public isn't some alien entity that just showed up out of nowhere to terrorize us for decades. It’s the people around us—maybe even ourselves—who support these specific options, these parties, these leaders, and these special interest groups.

And yes, your perspective is truly modest if you actually believe people don't want the exact kind of politicians they currently have.

You totally called me out, major props 👍

And, yeah, my opinion is definitely modest—just mentioning it since you forgot to point that out for the third time.

Third time's a charm, as they say.

Amy Nguyen18 said:Whether I'm right or not is irrelevant. What matters is that once Plenković falls (which might take ten years if that makes you feel better), there needs to be a total internal purge of his inner circle. His people need to be politically sidelined and swept away completely. Only then can the party actually breathe again.

Look, it’s definitely not in my interest for the Republican Party to thrive, let alone "breathe"—and if you ask me, it's in the best interest of the country, too.
That party is basically a nasty pathogen, like a virus that's woven itself into the very fabric of this nation. It isn't going anywhere until it kills the host, so it's in the country's absolute best interest to wipe out that pathogen before it causes immeasurable, irreversible damage—if it hasn't already.
You seem to think we should take things slow with these "ailments" (God knows why), almost suggesting they could even become beneficial if we just tweak them enough. I see it completely differently, and I guess that's the fundamental difference between us.

Amy Nguyen18 said:They’re going to kick Plenković out, not the other way around...

Coming from the guy who’s been claiming Škoro is going to take down Plenković in basically every single thread for years now.

I mean, look—you're not totally wrong. Plenković is definitely going to step down or lose his grip on the Republican Party at some point... that's a given, just like how the ocean is wet. But honestly? These timelines you keep throwing out there? It's nothing more than pure wishful thinking.
How do I find my old posts? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Thanks.
I'll give it a shot once I burn through all these negative points I've racked up—since, I don't know, maybe (I'm not totally sure how this forum works) those might be stopping me from getting back into the old threads.
Anyway, thanks again.

I'm trying to figure out how I can actually find my old posts.
Every time I click the option to show everything I've written, it just won't pull up the specific ones I'm looking for.
I'm guessing it might be because the thread is archived or something... maybe?
Specifically, it’s about that 2013 local elections in San Francisco thread.

Honestly, I don't really care about their little bickering, but the reality is—back when we were part of the old US—movies usually arrived here with like a 3 or 4 year delay anyway.
