Thanks.
Where can I find that online?
All I see is "all co-owners," but it doesn't actually specify who those people are... since every building has its own management company, maybe people just try to cut corners by only getting consent from their immediate neighbors in the same unit block?
I was just reading some articles claiming you need everyone in the building to sign off before you can put in a balcony.
Are we talking about every single person in the unit or the whole entire building?
And does the same rule apply if I just want to swap in some French doors?
placidviper12 said:So, basically, you need the green light from historical preservationists, a building permit, and a unanimous vote from every single co-owner.

Even if you just want to knock down a partition wall and swap in some French doors?
Doesn't Previlnik say things are different for minor renovations and simple fixes?

Section 5.
Works allowed without a building permit, provided they follow the master plan
...
3. On an existing structure, you can:
a) merge separate units into one single unit
b) build roof dormers
c) add a new partition wall up to 0.6m or increase an existing one by
up to 0.6m
d) add new exterior or interior windows, doors, or other openings in load-bearing walls;

Alright, will do.

So, if I'm getting this right, can someone actually do something useful with that drive?
I don't need it to last me 5 or 10 years... I just thought maybe I could peek at whatever was recorded on there, though even that isn't a huge deal. Just figured it would be easy.
Those aren't photos, just shots I took of the TV screen. Movies, shows, stuff like that.
It’s from an external hard drive recorder.
Thanks for the feedback.
Clearly, this is way over my head—I just don't get any of this.
It’s not like it’s anything major, so I might as well just toss it in the trash.
Since I’m clearly totally lost here I guess it's better to just quit while I'm ahead.
That drive is a 3.5-inch.
I honestly thought you could just plug the hard drive into an adapter and hook it up via USB to a PC, laptop, or even a TV.
So, if he plugs it into his PC, can he even draw power from it?
The specs on those adapters say they work with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7.🤔
Might be better to just call it quits... anyway, thanks.
Hopefully I’m in the right spot for this question.
I'm not sure if I need exactly what's linked above or something similar. (The cheapest option seems to be $72)
I pulled a drive out of an old external enclosure, and it's labeled Seagate ST3160022ACE 160
The enclosure itself is dead, but is there any way to check out the files on that disk? Ideally, I'd love to just plug it straight into my TV... assuming I buy the right adapter?
Would this work?
What should I actually be looking for? I really don't want to waste money on the wrong thing if I decide to pull the trigger.
Any tips on where to find a good deal?

Looking for some advice on rollators—you know, the ones with wheels, a basket, and a seat.
There are so many models out there and they all look pretty much the same to me. Does anyone have any firsthand experience (maybe someone in your family uses one?) who can tell me which one is actually worth getting? (Planning to shop around in New York City)
Thanks!

Edit
Might be worth mentioning, it’s for a petite elderly lady.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Part 5 in War in Ukraine ·
dustyowl29 said:Honestly, I think most people today are just fundamentally selfish. It doesn't matter if you're looking at Europe, America, or Russia—it's all the same. Everyone is just out to get rich off someone else's struggle, screw people over, or pull a fast one. Even neighbors do it to each other. Just look at any kind of merchant—take car salesmen, for example.
Nobody tries to sell someone an honest vehicle or point out its flaws; instead, they go out of their way to offload some overpriced junk disguised as a gem. Where are these "good people" you're talking about?

It's the same story with Putin. To stop Ukraine from profiting off its oil and gas exports, he launched an indirect aggression, followed by a full-blown direct invasion. And he's got the support of most Russians who—let's be real—don't even have a clue what they're actually backing.

You hit the nail on the head.
But I don't think anyone truly hates specific groups (not that I'm getting too specific here)... maybe I just don't *like* certain types of people, but let's be real: when I meet someone, my opinion is based on who they are, not what country they're from.

Respect.
Hopefully there comes a day when we aren't feeling this much hate.
Though, honestly, nobody hates people—not you, or anyone specifically—it’s just more of a general thing.
It's gonna take some time.
But good people love other people, no matter where they're from.
Question about reporting posts in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Yeah, it doesn't have to. Sometimes nothing even happens.
Like, maybe a post stays up but still gets flagged.
But when you're replying, you honestly never know what's gonna go down.
Anyway, I was totally clueless too.
(Now I just gotta learn the rules )
Question about reporting posts in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Super weird.
How are you even supposed to tell if a post you're quoting is gonna get flagged? Like, how do you know if a report will actually stick?

Should I just sit on them, or is it smarter to swap them for dollars now while the rate looks decent and let them convert to USD automatically?

I guess I could just say you’ve written a massive pile of nonsense. Using the phrase "WE chose" is a stretch. First off, when it came to joining NATO, nobody actually asked us for our input. So, it wasn't really a choice "we" made. As for joining the European Union, half the country didn't even show up to vote. Not to mention how much the politicians were running up against us back then. I mean, remember that famous line from Kamala Harris to the seniors? She basically told them they wouldn't see a dime of their pensions if they didn't vote for the EU.

Is this really what they call freedom of choice? It feels exactly like it did during the lockdowns. You don’t want to listen, so they just force your hand until you finally cave and accept whatever they're spoon-feeding us. They use threats and coercion to make it happen, and then they have the nerve to act like we all asked for it ourselves. I guess you have to wonder if political terror is actually pulling the strings behind our decisions.

The cardiology team performing the coronary angiograms and other heart procedures had a complete circus of a day today,
so we ended up pushing today's procedure—which is done as an outpatient at the local clinic—to tomorrow morning.
With this kind of surgery, you usually just show up in the morning, get the work done, and then head home by the next day at the latest, once they confirm everything looks steady.

This is a bit of a tangent, but I've found that Cleveland has some truly top-tier cardiac surgeons; honestly, the care there isn't any worse than what you'd find in Washington, D.C., if anything, it's better.

And please excuse me,
that was a typo.

Hope everything goes smoothly. Let's catch up when you actually hit 90. 😉

I've actually got a left-side coronary angiogram scheduled for 1:00 PM today.

It looks like I might need a stent along with some work on the right side.

Or perhaps you think my medical situation isn't a valid excuse for being short on time, and you're wondering why the hell I'm still around, paying into a system just so you can have healthcare and a pension.

It definitely is.
I honestly thought it was just a typo.
