Arming Ukraine in War in Ukraine ·
boldotter2 said:The Bayraktar is basically outclassed here. I mean, you launch it by hand, it doesn't even need to come back, and you just control it from a laptop in a bunker with an antenna sticking out. A Bayraktar needs a runway and a control vehicle—both of which are super easy targets.
IF they actually have this miracle tech in stock. You always have to be careful with American hi-tech companies; there's a bit too much smoke and mirrors sometimes, I guess.
So IF they really have what they claim, and IF it can actually do what they say, and IF they pass it to Ukraine.... man, just pack it up. Anyone who's ever fought a conventional war knows how this goes. We should all just pull back to our own borders, because offensive warfare just doesn't make sense anymore, maybe.

It exists, and it's not even THAT new. In English, they call it loitering ammunition. Israel has their own versions of those toys, and so do Turkey, India, and China.

There were even whispers that this specific type of weapon was something Russia specifically asked for in that aid package from China.

So, I was just reading this piece in The New York Times, and apparently, Israel shot down Abramovich's request to park his private jets at one of their airports.

Or perhaps banning performances at the Bolshoi Theatre.🙏

Those are such catastrophic losses for Russia that they simply won't be able to survive.🙏

But really, what can you do?
Europe has made its firm decision to distance itself from Russia and move away from Russian gas dependency.
Now, they'll just rely on American and Arab supplies at whatever unpredictable "market" prices come their way.

The results are already clear and tangible.

Gas prices in Europe have hit an all-time high right as American LNG exporters have finally completed years of development on projects designed to flood international markets with shale gas supply.

According to traders, major American producers—like Cheniere Energy, the largest exporter in the States—are among those reaping massive profits from the price surge, thanks to numerous long-term LNG sales contracts signed over the last few months.

Man, you're getting way too emotional about Russia. Seriously, go grab a drink and chill out; it’s not healthy to stress this much over a country you claim you "don't care about" when you really just want some peace and quiet.☕

Man, those "tough guys" in Russia really think sanctions won't touch them. 🤦

The wildest part is this paragraph claiming the French are going to display artwork from Imperial Russia just to spite modern-day Russia. 🙏 😵

🤔

I mean, I guess looting your "wealthy" neighbor is a pretty solid strategy too. 🤣

Honestly, that’s just nonsense. How many knock-off colas are even out there globally? Even with all those options, nobody has managed to actually unseat Coca-Cola or Pepsi as the heavy hitters. And look, even when people think they know what goes into the recipe, no one has ever truly nailed that exact, identical flavor profile.
Sure, you can whip up your own bubbly soda on your own, but let's be real—it's never going to be Coca-Cola.

Man, even crude dropped below $100 once the speculators finally stopped freaking out and those Middle Eastern producers hinted they were about to cut production back.

Russia claims the West is forcing them into bankruptcy 🙂

Until everything eventually falls out of the sky, at which point they'll just switch over to those incredibly reliable domestic Boeings.

Not even that will work—most Boeings run on Rolls-Royce engines while those Iljushins use Pratt & Whitney.😁

So, they just kicked Russia out of the international ship certification association. It’s going to be pretty wild seeing how they plan on getting oil delivered to tankers now.

Looks like the US Air Force might finally be sending those Starstreak Ukrainian systems. 😬

"We urgently need to stop the war; we need peace," he said.

Bryan Booth82 said:I was listening to N24 on German radio today, specifically an analysis regarding the aggression in Ukraine. They were claiming that since the start of the invasion back on February 24th, Russia has actually managed to rake in $10 billion from the West through the export of gas, oil, and coal.
They also floated an estimate suggesting that this war is draining Russia at a rate of $1 billion per day—which would put their total losses at roughly $18 billion so far.

It’s incredibly difficult to pin down what the actual, accurate figures are. I’ve heard everything from $1 billion to $20 billion being lost daily due to this aggression... so it really begs the question: how much longer can they actually sustain this before they hit total bankruptcy?

Of course, when you calculate those massive daily war costs, you absolutely have to factor in the compounding impact of all those sanctions...🤔

Honestly, it’s getting harder and harder to find even a single shred of evidence that could be considered a legitimate argument on the Russian side.🤔

Best regards,

And if you look at the hardware losses, once you tally everything up on Oryx, it's climbing past $4 billion. Even Oryx itself has posted that Russian losses are getting so massive they can't even keep the list updated fast enough anymore and are starting to fall behind.

Oh yeah, it’s all the West's fault, right? Otherwise, everyone would just be lining up to move to Putin's Russia... oh wait,

https://www.reuters.com/business/rus...31-2022-03-10/

I mean, besides the fact that Russia keeps screwing over its own allies—like banning grain exports to the European Union right now—it's truly a mystery why anyone with even a remote chance of escaping actually tries to get out. /s

PUTIN'S MAJOR BLOW TO AMERICA: Russia refuses to supply coal to The Plomin power plant, leaving the US short by 9% of its electricity

The crazy thing is, according to this article, they were supposed to deliver that shipment back at the start of February. Back then, they were still acting all high and mighty, saying "Oh please, it'll never happen," while calling the West "hysterical" over the invasion.
It just goes to show how much breath they wasted trying to cover up their own lies.

And why shouldn't they?

That news broke three days ago, and now people are already talking about banning uranium—looks like they've already started hunting for a workaround.

It’s been circling around the 130 mark for days now. Seems like that’s the line in the sand they've decided to defend. I just wonder how much longer they can hold it together, because the second that buying pressure stops, that currency is going to start sliding fast.

"The Russian economy is in 'shock' from unprecedented sanctions in history; the West is leading an economic war against Russia" - Dmitry Peskov

🤔 So what now, guys? They were all saying they were more than ready to take the hit and that the West couldn't touch them economically... I guess the whole "nobody can stop us, we're stronger than fate" crying ends here, huh?

Just a little shoutout for our buddy Ferdy, who was busy tossing around snacks all afternoon

The UAE is upping their oil and gas production quotas, and they’re planning to "lobby" the rest of OPEC to follow suit at the next meeting.
Wait, wasn't it the other way around? Like, the Arabs were done messing around with the USA... ☕

bluemason3 said:Some people are arguing this won't actually change much on the ground. Their logic? Even the gear they already have isn't being used to its full potential because they just don't have enough air superiority. So, they see this as more of a PR stunt than a tactical win.
Purely a PR move. 🤔

But honestly, if those Starstreaks show up in time, it might just speed up the tally of Sukhoi and Mil aircraft that decided to perform an "emergency landing." 😬
