Amy Diaz222 said:The bolding here is truly laughable—a transparent attempt at manipulation... 😵

Specifically, this part: '....Maduro is somewhat open to selling oil to this wicked empire...' is both a lie and a blatant attempt at spin.... 👎

In reality, Maduro has always been '...open...' to selling oil to the US—

—but the US/the West simply convinced themselves that the Venezuelan president was some sort of minor player, or rather, they acted like the person they claim is the "president of Venezuela" is actually the one in charge... 🤣

So, now the US/the West is coming with its "tail between its legs" to both President Maduro and the Persian Ayatollahs—

—begging for help.... 🙂

You're really out here calling someone else out for spinning things? 🤣🤣

It's gotta sting seeing how yesterday's big allies tossed Russia aside like a used napkin just so they could chase a quick profit.

Just for our friend here, the Iranians were actually hanging Ukrainian flags during prayer services. It feels like the real motivation for wrapping up those nuclear negotiations and lifting sanctions might just be the sweet, sweet cash from selling oil to the "bad guys" in the West—honestly, that smells even more tempting than anything Putin is doing right now. Even Nicolás Maduro seems pretty open to selling his oil to this "rogue empire."
I mean, let's be real: Dollars and Euros are definitely a lot sweeter than Rubles, aren't they?

China, India, and Pakistan are refusing to jump on board with the anti-Russian sanctions, and now the world’s most populous Muslim nation—Indonesia—has made their stance clear too.
We're seeing similar pushback from key Latin American nations, including our own massive neighbor, Mexico. On top of that, the first cracks in this supposedly solid anti-Russia coalition are starting to show within the West itself, especially if you consider Turkey a part of the Western bloc given its membership in NATO.
Furthermore, leaders from the UAE and Saudi Arabia have declined to meet with Biden. 😂

Lucky for Russia, I guess, everything is just blooming perfectly for them while the bitter West waits around for a surrender that isn't coming. 🤣
Well, hey, maybe a few more rubles will drop for the effort. 👍

Honestly, once the black market for Western "smuggled goods" really starts booming, it’ll be like a total blast to the past. Everything will settle down, and Putin will basically just head back to where he feels most at home.

Carl Lee27 said:Well, honestly, I think they’ve already started a sort of "soft lockdown" for their own people. It's happening right now! You see, major airlines like Delta aren't flying there anymore, and the government has basically put a stranglehold on the money—citizens can't just move large amounts of cash into foreign accounts or carry more than $10k across the border without running into massive trouble.

On top of that, if they want permission to even leave, they have to prove they actually intend on coming back to the States, otherwise, they're stuck.
Just pure, unadulterated love for their own people, I guess. 😵

Are you actually serious about this stuff you're posting, or are you just having a blast trolling everyone? 🤣

Poor guy, starting today they're only paying out in rubles.

What kind of economic gut punch is the West actually facing here? Check this out: 🙏
Preston is basically trying to push stuff on us that was already off-limits.

"To be specific, we're looking at:

moving away from the dollar for both domestic reserves and international settlements
shifting focus toward capital markets that serve as alternatives to Western ones
setting up reliable, secure channels for financial data—basically boosting the use of local currencies for cross-border payments
and establishing direct interbank relationships with their biggest trading partners."

Honestly, this feels like a pretty surface-level take on how economics actually works. Every single bottle of Coca-Cola, every McDonald's meal, every iPhone, every Pepsi, every pair of Adidas gear, and every Volkswagen car had built-in taxes that were padding the government's coffers. On top of that, every one of those companies was employing people who were collecting paychecks—people who are now likely headed straight toward unemployment lines.
Every time a major player shuts down or pulls out like this, it puts even more strain on the U.S. budget, pushing the country closer to a financial meltdown where they won't even be able to fund the military anymore.

P.S.
Also, for regular Americans who have been raised for two generations to enjoy all the perks of the "wicked and hedonistic" West, this whole transition is going to be a massive reality check. Just look at the mad rush to IKEA right before they closed, or the stampede to McDonald's before they pulled out.

There are even videos floating around YouTube showing how people rushed to stock up on stuff like motor oil and car parts while they still could.

The NYT is reporting that Maduro might actually be open to talking oil. He basically said Venezuelan oil is on the table for anyone wanting to produce or buy it—whether that's an investor from Asia, Europe, or the USA.
Plus, Venezuela just released two Americans, which I guess is seen as a little olive branch to Biden and the US following that visit from the American delegation.

"Nothing personal comrade Putin, just good business" 😬

That’s why I don't think they're jumping in yet. They’re just waiting for Russia’s ego to completely blow up, and then they'll swoop in to buy everything up—not for peanuts, either, but for basically a glass of water. Once they’ve grabbed all the good stuff, they'll probably step on them to end the war, because hey, they're gonna need all those newly acquired resources to ship off to the West.

Not even a 4D chess player, more like some multiverse grandmaster. 🙏

China is looking into picking up stakes in Russian energy giants and companies focused on raw material extraction and refining.
Looks like Russia is officially being reeled in by the Chinese supply chain.

Carl Lee27 said:Seriously though, foreign currency exchanges have been totally suspended. For the next six months, you won't be able to swap Russian rubles for any hard currency in Russia. Though, technically, you can do the exact opposite, so if you're into that kind of thing, there you go.
https://insiderpaper.com/russia-susp...tral-bank/amp/

With this move, everything just goes out the window—Russia is basically abandoning the most fundamental functions of money. I mean, how is it supposed to act as a medium of exchange, a store of value, or even a unit of account? None of that works anymore... it’s just absolute chaos.

Two weeks until total currency collapse? Honestly, not bad at all for an empire that the West loves to claim is on its last legs.

The Polish announcement was met with relative silence from Washington officialdom. The U.S. European Command and State Department declined to comment.
A Pentagon official emailed that “we’ve seen the Polish government’s announcement,” adding, “we have nothing to offer at this time.”

As Anthony Hill5 pointed out, it's all just wishful thinking. Quite a difficult situation to be in...

To me, it all feels like they're just "rattling the saber" with those planes—maybe an attempt to rush Russia on the operational front and bait them into making mistakes.
It's not like they can just hand over those jets "keys in hand" or anything.

steelraven74 said:Western politicians just haven't learned—and really should have by now—that sanctions don't actually trigger regime changes or shifts in policy. They certainly aren't going to end this war. Just look at the history with Cuba, Venezuela, or Iran.

I mean, look, these aren't even intended to force a change in leadership. The whole point is to bleed the country dry so they eventually run out of the resources needed to keep fighting.

Honestly, this is what happens when you start throwing around those nuclear retaliation threats—it's basically game over, Mr. Putin.☕

And it’s not just Maersk; all the big players are pulling out, including MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE, and Yang Ming.

Wheat is up 40%. With Russia and Ukraine being the heavyweights in global exports—and Russia leading the charge on fertilizer and everything else...

The USA can feed itself and still has plenty of energy in reserve.
Russia? They can also cover their own food and fuel needs internally.
The EU? They’re just stuck watching everyone else eat and drive.

It’s fascinating, really. These people who get a kick out of seeing others struggle. If this keeps up, they'll be howling in a few months when reality finally hits them right in the face.

You might want to take a quick look at Russia's pharmaceutical imports from the EU; I'm pretty sure those numbers are climbing too. I guess they're feeling pretty confident about all these moves they're making.
Let's be real: there is NO such thing as a truly self-sufficient country today, unless you count places that even God seems to have forgotten about, like Somalia.

Carl Lee27 said:See, the thing is, manufacturing has been shifted over to places like Taiwan and Korea over the last few decades, but even those guys are likely going to jump on board with the sanctions. I really think they have to, because companies like Intel, Apple, and everyone else in that sphere rely so heavily on technology and machinery coming straight out of the USA and the EU.
And honestly, these microchips? They’re easily the most critical, complex products of this entire century.

South Korea and Taiwan have actually been right there in the mix with sanctions from day one—whether it's following along when the USA rolls out a new package or just copying what they see happen.
