The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
crimsonlynx24 said:Honestly, those people pointing fingers and calling everyone else Russian trolls are actually the biggest trolls of them all...

Look, this is a free country—everyone is entitled to their own perspective here!

If that makes me a troll, then fine, call me one. I firmly believe that during the Euromaidan, a pro-Western president was essentially installed by force. You had "protesters" wielding weapons—including that infamous Azov battalion—firing shots in the square, all while refusing to allow for a new presidential election where the previously elected Janukovich would have likely won again.

And I just caught wind that Ukrainians aren't even allowing men between the ages of 18 and 60 to leave the country. At the end of the day, individual morality isn't designed for combat; I fail to see why anyone should be forced to die just to serve the conflicting interests of the West and the East.

Most people are simply operating with a limited set of facts—they rely entirely on Western media outlets, which, let's face it, dominate the landscape and are probably what 90% of the population consumes daily.

Zelenskyy won 75% of the vote back in 2019. 👍

Is there an official report on this somewhere?

Yeah, check this out: https://twitter.com/ZelenskyyUa/stat...64078897774598

I thank my friend Mr. President of 🇹🇷 @RTErdogan and the people of 🇹🇷 for their strong support. The Ban on The passage of 🇷 🇺 warships to The Black Sea and significant military and humanitarian support for 🇺🇦 are extremely important today. The people of 🇺🇦 will never forget that!

I bet those same Mexicans are saying the exact same thing about Ukraine right now... because of psychopaths like this, the whole world gets dragged into war—trying to force peace through violence.

It's like if I went over to my neighbor's house and torched his car just to show him he can't park where I want, then claimed the lady next door egged me on because she took his spot first...

Negotiations where? In Moscow?

Great, let's just pin everything on the USA while Russia carries out a genocide in Ukraine. Way to go, guys. 🙏 A peace mission?

If Vladimir Putin doesn't roll into Kyiv, Zelenskyy stays out on the streets right alongside his troops.

Probably not. Of course they won't. Still, regardless of what happens, I’m holding out hope that this might finally be the beginning of the end for that corrupt, sleazy bastard.

The Hague is moving in. Sure, I don't think they'll manage to convict him, but those indictments are coming. 😉

If they're actually hitting that front, it's a sign that the main target for the Russian advance is the New Russia region.

They're sending Tatars toward Europe.

What sources are you even using? 🤣

Kyiv is extending its curfew, and anyone caught out after 5 PM is being treated as an enemy
The Mayor of Kyiv announced this Saturday that the curfew—originally implemented due to the Russian invasion—is being extended, warning that anyone found outdoors between 5 PM and 8 AM will be viewed as a hostile presence.

"Any civilians caught out during the curfew hours will be considered members of enemy sabotage and intelligence groups", Vitali Klitschko posted on Telegram.

swiftjackal11 said:Meanwhile, Putin is stuck in a bunker. Who’s actually free then?

Give me a break... that's exactly how the Russian people will struggle to survive, much like the Ukrainian Armed Forces facing sanctions. It's a brutal oligarchy where you have one wealthy elite for every 200 poor citizens in a supposedly mid-tier nation.

The smart ones in Russia are probably out there trying to protest that kind of "freedom."

vividtiger72 said:And why on earth would you think Putin expected to conquer Ukraine in a matter of days? Did any actual Russian official ever make claims like that? As far as I can tell, it was only the Western experts who were telling Kyiv they had maybe two or three days left; the Russians always maintained they'd stay as long as it took.

They were the ones spreading propaganda saying there wouldn't be an invasion, and now they're hitting civilians.

Russia is going to pay dearly for this, though they won't even realize it because their own censorship will smother them, just like what happened in Cuba.

They've kicked off a war without an end in democratic nations. In a democracy, the state doesn't collapse just because the president falls down the stairs 😉—which is exactly how Russia would go down if Putin fell, much like Gaddafi, Stalin, Hitler, or Napoleon.

Who actually expected Russia to go back to conquering territory? 🤔 Even after the USSR collapsed, it was long after Joseph.

Word is Ukrainian air defense managed to take down an Il-76. That’s devastating. Think about how many people were on board?

Laura Scott7 said:Look, if you actually sit down and crunch the numbers, it’s pretty obvious that Russia isn't the one pulling the strings here to start this whole mess. It’s just common sense at this point. And honestly? For the sake of the people in Ukraine, they should probably just call it quits now because they don't stand a chance. I mean, let's be real—most of them aren't even interested in fighting against Russia, especially when they're basically defending some puppet government installed by the CIA. If those Ukrainians actually had the will to fight, Zelenskyy wouldn't have had to drop a general mobilization order just two days after that initial 200,000-soldier invasion, and they wouldn't be handing out weapons left and right without any oversight whatsoever. We're talking about a nation of 40 million people that only has about 2 million reservists to pull from. The only ones actually itching for a fight are the far-right radicals and, predictably, the guys sitting on the CIA payroll.

The killer is never guilty; it's always someone else's fault... 🙏

Look, I’m rooting for one thing: regardless of who wins or what happened today, I want this war over tomorrow. Just so people can get back to living their lives in peace. Dying for some politician's fat ass is total bullshit.

Zelenskyy is literally out there on the streets with his troops—what are we even talking about here? https://twitter.com/ChristopherJM/st...deo-of-himself There won't be any peace as long as Russia keeps pointing weapons at another nation...

Amy Diaz222 said:It looks like the EU is losing its way—or maybe they’re just messing with us... 😵

So, the EU is "implementing sanctions" ('personal ones') against Russian President Putin and Foreign Minister Lavrov.... 😁

According to the EU website https://www.euractiv.com/section/eur...ine-continues/

But honestly, this isn't even much of a joke compared to this statement from some "minister" out of Germany https://www.euractiv.com/section/pol...champs-elysee/

'German minister: Putin should not go shopping on Champs Elysées'

— basically saying we should "ban" Putin from "shopping" in Paris

The level of idiocy inherited by whoever took over for Ms. Merkel is truly unbelievable.... 😵

Imagine if Russians were actual residents of the EU—where would it end? 🤣
