The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
Sam Wright21 said:It's also true that the USA has little interest in seeing a powerhouse European Union emerge.

Russia doesn't want a strong EU, and frankly, neither does the EU.

And then there's NATO—what is its actual purpose, and will it even bother to act?

Seen this before. It's Putin's tactic, straight out of Hitler's playbook: 1. mass the troops, 2. gaslight everyone about your motives, 3. strike.

NATO mobilized 40,000 soldiers today to be on standby in countries bordering the conflict. This probably doesn't count the NATO troops already stationed at current bases (like those 8k in the Baltics) or the national militaries. The USA has also prepared a NATO strike force of about 5-8k to deploy in Europe.

According to the "official script," Ukraine gets armed while Russia pretends it's fighting an "invisible enemy" against its own roots. NATO will likely just sit around waiting for Kyiv to fall or for some even bigger disaster to hit. And then what? Another summit, another meeting, another bunch of empty statements that’ll probably just lead to everyone sitting at a negotiating table for another ten years... yeah, democracy.

Are we talking about Ukraine or the USA now? You’d think you’d realize that 75% of Ukraine feels the same way about Russia... 🙏

Jason Roberts2 said:This president of Ukraine doesn't actually represent the Ukrainian people.
Why isn't anyone even talking about this?

He won the majority in basically every single region.

Susan Green2 said:DDoS attacks are child's play. Anyone with half a brain can pull one off against StreesThe or other public service platforms.

The irony is Russian archives are leaking and wide open for download.

Betty Murphy3 said:Great. So every country east of Germany just gets to dictate their own domestic and foreign policy based on Moscow's whims and the insecurities of a guy named Putin? Makes perfect sense.

In the end, Putin’s actions have made him look even worse than the West—he's effectively handed his critics all the ammunition they needed. There's a reason people say that if you play with fire, you shouldn't be surprised when you get burned.

Look, there's a firsthand account on YouTube: "What do Russian citizens actually think of Putin?" It looks like it's split pretty much 50/50.

Putin would be best off just surrendering, admitting he lost, kneeling before the West, and owning up to his massive mistake just like he did with Kursk 🍿
