vividraven79 said:hahahahahaha, there is no way someone who has spent so many years stuck in the mud could still be this naive. It's just impossible.

Look, I was referring specifically to Prime Ministers and Presidents, not the entire federal hierarchy. Do you actually have any concrete evidence—like an indictment or a court verdict—to back up your suspicion that they were thieves? Or is this just your own personal gut feeling?

vividraven79 said:No, I don't think Jesus Christ is coming in anyone's image... I just think the people will eventually choose someone who doesn't steal. And if that person steals, they'll just pick the next one, and the next, and the next...
because once you're out of power, our lovely justice system isn't exactly going to look out for you anymore.

As for the stuff about falsifying timesheets or taking a 10% cut... sure, maybe some people will do it. I know I won't, and I tend to vote for the ones I expect won't either.

And just to set the record straight... Rob Ford didn't say it was scientifically proven that God doesn't exist; he said it hasn't been proven that He does.

That right there shows how limited his understanding really is. Honestly, he would have sounded much smarter if he had just admitted he doesn't believe and left it at that. But no, he needs scientific proof for faith? Please. Maybe he should call for an investigation into the Mona Lisa once Vatican City decides to let them poke at it again.. 😁

So, here's my take: I think the public (or at least Congress) has been trying to elect someone who isn't a thief ever since the George W. Bush era. It's just that one person can't possibly be held accountable for every single corrupt actor sitting in the hierarchy beneath them.

Did you just manage to express regret over his lack of preaching and curse God all in the same breath?

And when exactly did he become a scientist? He was basically polishing altars until his mid-30s. Now, suddenly, he’s offended by people praying outside a maternity ward...

Well, so what? Did I ever go around claiming to be a devout Catholic?

crimsonwolf26 said:Look, whether he believes or not is his own business, and it certainly isn't evidence that he's mentally unstable. He’s explained his reasoning very calmly and clearly more times than I can count.🤣
And I have a feeling he’s going to find it pretty hard to swallow the fact that you’ll never forgive him for turning his back on those "traditional" tunes.😁
The truth is, those old classics are mostly just played for the most "hardcore" Americans until midnight, and once the clock strikes twelve, everyone just switches over to Madonna and Kenny Chesney.

I mean, seriously, if you spend your 30s kissing altars and then suddenly at 35 you claim you've scientifically proven that God doesn't exist, not everyone is going to buy that.😁
There's no need for those songs anymore. But he's clearly just feeling guilty about having sung them in the first place.

vividraven79 said:Man, you’ve completely lost the plot here... I guess for you, someone turning their back on those old fascist anthems is a bigger sin than someone actually stealing from the public coffers. Just try to sit with that for a second and realize how much your sense of right and wrong has been totally warped.

It’s not that. It’s just that you seem to believe Jesus Christ is going to descend from heaven this time appearing as some magical political savior to wave a magic wand and fix all the corruption. That is never going to happen. It’s never happened, and it never will. There isn't some shadowy, organized criminal syndicate or an elite class of privileged elites—it's just that people grab whatever they can when the opportunity presents itself, hoping they won't get caught. Someone logs on their timesheet saying they returned from a business trip at 8:00 PM instead of 7:00 PM just so they can claim a full day's pay instead of half, while someone else takes a 10% kickback on a million-dollar contract to rig a deal for a buddy. Both are thieves. And you—just like me—probably wouldn't even report that first guy; hell, you wouldn't report your own son, your wife, your mother, or your daughter. But then, when a court acquits one of the defendants, suddenly the system is broken and everything is the fault of the Republican Party. Well, newsflash: you don't see the Republican Party running things over in California, yet the corruption there is just as rampant as you can imagine. The job of thieves is to steal, and the job of the police and the justice system is to catch them and prosecute them. There is no point in constantly debating it; you're just wasting everyone's energy...

vividraven79 said:There they go again with the "we" talk... honestly, I don't do "us." It's just me.

And Joe Biden isn't "mine" either... I don't really deal in ideologies. If you think everyone who opposes the Republican Party is some kind of leftist or a communist, that sounds like a personal problem. You know, an American from a traditional family, even the son of a veteran, can be against the Republicans without being a communist.

I honestly couldn't care less about ideology. A thief is a thief, whether they belong to the Socialist Party, the Democratic Party, the Center, the Republican Party, or even the fringe groups. I’m going to call out every single one of them exactly the same way.
Man, it honestly feels like most of the crooks are coming out of the Republican Party, so I guess that’s why I end up taking all my shots at them.

Wait, what makes you think I'm a Republican? Honestly... from Franjo Harmon all the way down to Andrej Plenković, I haven't voted for them once. And even now, just because they might cause the least amount of damage...

crimsonwolf26 said:Everyone was part of the US establishment. Washington D.C. is basically just a year older than Eric Adams; they actually went to the same universities, though one of them always seemed a bit more lifeless.
Pete Hegseth worked in the secretariat in Seattle, while Donald Trump was with Henry Kissinger—back then, a Republican connection smoothed things over for him.
Honestly, Eric Adams was the underdog of the bunch; he was just playing music in church choirs and at weddings...

Oh, right... but that was all before he went and scientifically proved that God doesn't exist. Good grief... you really think that’s proof he's a psycho? And that whole thing where he renounced those old songs? I don't know, I don't think I can ever, ever forgive him for that.

vividraven79 said:Alright, let me turn this back on you... when you were out there in the trenches, fighting for the soul of this country, did you ever imagine it would end up looking like this? Is this really the America you bled for? An America where a privileged class of crooks has been screwing us over for thirty years?

I grew up listening to my elders tell their war stories, and since I’ve always had a thing for history, I never harbored any illusions about how war works—it’s never just about "brotherhood." For me, I fought for our people's survival, and at the end of the day, a nation is just the byproduct of whatever deals get struck. And frankly, the state became what it is largely because of those post-war settlements. Have you ever heard that Margaret Thatcher once said, ”there is no such thing as society, there are only individuals”? I think that captures everything perfectly right here. Just look at how your supposed "heroic veteran"—this former reserve officer turned professional pundit, Joe Biden—starts popping off like popcorn the second someone touches his favorite cafe or his precious little bookstore. Or how Free California somehow morphs into "Sell California," filled with the exact same crowd you used to cheer for back when they were busy trashing Donald Trump and Vici... This is exactly what that old Thatcher woman meant... there is no society, just individuals pursuing their own interests.

I suppose I should probably mention that water strider. It’s just... well, it's one of those things, isn't it? Just sitting there on the surface. I guess you could say it's fascinating, if you're into that sort of thing, but honestly, it's just a bug. A tiny, insignificant little bug skittering around on top of the water. It's almost absurd how it manages to stay afloat, isn't it? Some kind of surface tension trickery, I assume. But really, what's the point? It just exists. It just moves. It doesn't accomplish anything. It's just... there. Moving. Skittering. Whatever. It's just a water strider. amberjackal68 says:
Ugh, if you ask me, you might as well just start listing them all: Joe Biden, Lloyd Austin, Xavier Becerra, Donald Trump, Elizabeth Warren, Ed Rendell, even Donald Trump himself... honestly, you could probably go on forever.😁

I don't know the full life story of every single one of them, but I honestly couldn't agree more with that. As far as I'm aware, both Joe Biden and Donald Trump served in some kind of government capacity over in Brussels. I only know for sure about Ed Rendell—he basically bolted for Italy—but then again, he was sending money to his mistress, so I suppose I can let him off the hook. 😁 Donald Trump was hanging around the whole time, so I guess he probably wasn't exactly a top priority for a military advisor... maybe. 😁 Come on, don't play dumb... I've already laid out my position and made it perfectly clear where I stand.😁

vividraven79 said:I’ve noticed a few times now that Republicans are busy blaming Ivica Todorić for being their own biggest failure.

First off, I have no idea who this "they" or "we" refers to... but it’s just typical Republican logic. It’s an us-versus-them mentality; if you aren't one of them, you're automatically the enemy.

Honestly, Ivica Todorić is just another product of your own making who finally decided to break free from the leash. You guys crushed him until he finally started biting back.
tako da ne znam kome bi normalnom on bio vođa ičega osim kumlerovih dvora

And don't even get me started—I actually heard our supposedly "distinguished" national party chairman claiming that his company was stolen from him. Or maybe I just need to go wash my ears out with soap? 😁

ironstag8 said:In my book, anyone who lined their pockets during the war while others were out there bleeding for this country is a war profiteer. And what makes it worse is that these profiteers never saw a day of combat, yet they act like big-shot patriots.
We're talking about all sorts of characters like Kerum or Vidos...

Well, from my perspective—since I actually spent those years crawling through muddy trenches—true war profiteers are also the ones who avoided service when they could have stepped up. They were young, healthy, and capable back then... Take our Mayor, for example. But hey... I guess that’s just how life works.

vividraven79 said:It’s not an issue for me either. In my view, Ivica Puljak needs to prove himself by serving at least two terms in San Francisco first. Unfortunately, the opposition at the federal level just isn't strong enough to pose a real threat to the criminal establishment. There’s far too much fragmentation and ego involved; they simply won't reach an agreement, and I'm fully aware of that reality.

The Democratic Party is a mess, and even the centrists are way too weak... meanwhile, the corrupt crowd has a base that ensures they'll always win.

Two terms? 🙄 Is that how long he needs just to get an ego? And besides, isn't this his first term already? 😁

ironstag8 said:Sure, war profiteering is always more appealing than a steady government salary. That should be our role model, right? Privatizing assets during wartime just to line the pockets of a chosen political inner circle—now that's what I call peak patriotism. Truly heartwarming stuff.

Look, I don't mean he's a saint, but at least he's more likable than that annoying bozon guy... though I guess that's a low bar. Anyway, do you actually have any proof regarding this war profiteering, or are you just blathering away without consequence like you always do?
I see now that Todorić is your new hero, and everyone is crying about how his poor company was snatched away from him. So, I'm genuinely curious—in your eyes, is he also a war profiteer? And if Kerumov’s lawyer decided to haul you into court over these claims, I bet you'd be whimpering that you didn't mean it...🙄 Fortunately, our Kero isn't some total fraud, so you feel safe enough to take advantage of that fact and just talk nonsense.

crimsonwolf26 said:The whole debate over government salaries is starting to get ridiculous.
At this rate, we might as well just label every single doctor, police officer, and professor an opportunist simply because they happen to be on the public payroll.

Oh right... I guess all those political hacks are only located out in the Midwest. And specifically the ones who didn't get a blessing from the almighty Ivica Puljak.. 😁

vividraven79 said:It’s required, I know it is... there's really no need to go looking for answers.
I just wonder why this is such an issue when it comes to the Mayor, yet it's never mentioned when it concerns those criminals.

Well, it isn't a problem for me. It's a problem for you... I mean, how did the deal with the folks from the "Progressive Party" fall through? Did they just get stuck arguing over who gets to be the boss? 😁
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
Dana Martin95 said:I guess it’s not even about whether he’ll become the next mayor or crush them at the elections. It’s more about how everything he’s doing is just exposing how much damage the previous administration did to San Francisco. I think the Democrats are mostly furious because all their dirty laundry is being aired out constantly. People keep arguing over how many millions the city lost just from bad management of local assets, but honestly, that’s probably just one small part of what's coming out

Give me a break... everything is somehow "damaging the Republican Party"? Seriously? Just how long has the Republican Party been running San Francisco since the founding of this country? And how many of those shady characters that this "savior" figure is digging up are currently squatting in city apartments?
Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
vividraven79 said:It’s honestly hilarious watching these criminal sympathizers jump out of the woodwork to label Ed Lee a "psycho who needs to be in charge everywhere"... all while they're busy sucking up to the Associated Press.

Well, isn't that just how it works? Go ahead, look it up...

Quentin Tarantino:
vividraven79 I guess it’s just my opinion, but I honestly feel like this whole situation is becoming a complete disaster. It’s just... it's frustrating, you know? Maybe I'm being too harsh, but it feels like there's absolutely no direction being provided by anyone in charge right now. Everything is just chaotic.
Things are finally getting organized here in San Francisco... Look, it isn't the Mayor's job to go around creating jobs for everyone (honestly, they should probably just abolish the office entirely, maybe that would actually work).
If you actually manage to run a city with some semblance of order, I guess investors will naturally start showing up. It’s that simple.

So, I guess your people just can't handle a little bit of order? Honestly, man... if you'd just stop stealing so much and quit handing out government contracts to that Trump guy's obnoxious circle, maybe—just maybe—you might actually manage to win an election in San Francisco one of these days.
And what about that? Will he actually have to answer for this during his next few terms in office?🙄 I mean, seriously... he actually thinks he can just step in and replace Joe Biden? I don't know how he expects to manage anything, let alone cover all of San Francisco and the entire United States, when he’s running nothing more than a small family business.
Whose people? I don't have "my" people. Are Chris Christie and The New York Times suddenly my people now? Because apparently, they were all yours just yesterday. Look, I work for a private firm, so none of this political nonsense actually touches me... But if we're talking preferences, I actually find Donald Trump somewhat likable, which is a far cry from that puffed-up lackey and his lovely wife... god, give me a break. The guy has lived off taxpayer money his entire life, yet he’s supposedly going to jumpstart the city. Honestly... Sheldon Cooper is 100% right about this, except maybe for the part where he isn't funny. 🙄

Dana Martin95 said:With everything going on in San Francisco, Puljak is shifting focus toward the national elections. It’s going to make what they’re doing in the city even more obvious on a countrywide scale. It feels like the resistance and real change are starting right here in San Francisco. I guess nobody has fought them quite like this before—it’s not just empty talk. That’s probably why they’re so scared; this shows everyone what things look like without the Republican Party in charge. This is definitely going to cost them at the national level eventually.

I mean... once you're grown up, you've already convinced yourself that Grandpa Božićnjak exists... 😁 So, what is actually happening in San Francisco? An investment boom? Are new jobs actually being created?
Puljak has about as much coalition potential for the national elections as Ante Đapić does..😁 The guy is a total psycho who has to be the boss everywhere he goes, and everyone is just "thrilled" to deal with people like him.. 🙄
