So, I’ve got this weird little skin tag popping up right on the outer edge of my upper eyelid. Is there any way I can just get it removed at a clinic using my insurance? Honestly, I feel a bit ridiculous even bringing it up—it’s just one tiny thing—but it’s starting to itch like crazy and I swear it’s getting bigger. 🤷
Look, you don't have much room to move here. In government agencies, things get toxic fast because of negative selection—the culture is just broken. If you try to report her for bullying, honestly? You’ll probably be the one getting chewed out instead of her.
She isn't going to change, period. It doesn't matter if you play nice or if you give her some attitude; she’s staying exactly who she is.
The one thing you absolutely have to do, though, is this: next time she starts raising her voice, shut her down immediately. Don't let her talk to you like that. Just cut the conversation off right then and there and walk away until the old lady cools her jets.
Honestly, when I really think about it, my roommate and I barely even talk. 😳 It’s not like we’re constantly at each other's throats or anything; we just don't vibe. She is a total gossip hound, and I can't stand people like that. We’re polite and civil enough, but I make a point of keeping things surface-level because I don't want to give her any ammunition to go running her mouth about me at Starbucks or over drinks with her friends.
I bet she thinks I'm the villain in her little drama story.
Nicholas Davis4 said:The whole thing about those pharmacy tests—where they claim to measure electrode resistance and all that nonsense—is nothing more than a gimmick. It’s just a way to push unnecessary products onto people who, unfortunately, tend to be quite trusting.
Sometimes I truly wonder how this is even allowed to happen, considering how inaccurate and pointless the entire practice is.
Has there really never been an inspection from the FDA or something similar to step in?
It's just like Bruce Springsteen with the Silver Surfer. 🤷
Those four-wheelers are pretty prone to vertical cracking, so honestly, the smartest move would be to go with a crown. But hey, I totally get where you're coming from—if it isn't absolutely perfect, even a crown is going to feel like a nuisance.
Anyone have any clue what an occupational health exam actually looks like? I’m trying to remember when I went for my driver’s license about 15 years ago—back then, they basically just listened to my lungs and checked my vision, nothing crazy. Has the whole process changed since then? I’ve got one scheduled for next week, and they told me to show up on an empty stomach, so now I'm low-key stressing about what to expect.

So what did you end up paying? Honestly, those retail workers there have to act like that—it’s forced on them. It’s just the way big-box store policy works.
I've been dealing with this viral sore throat for two weeks now. My doctor sent me off to get some blood work done. Does that automatically include serology, or do I actually have to ask for that specifically?

debt, misery, and an endless stream of migrants.

Actually, Turkey did the dumping. Remember when their former PM, Ozal, basically said there’s no need to go to war with Greece—just send a few million migrants their way to finish them off. That was the move. Simple as that.
