Check this out... 🤷

There was some news about this, too, but I think someone's just bored and looking to stir the pot.☕

Just proves my point about the right wing. 😁

Historically, looking at all the elections over the last 30 years, the mail-in votes follow a set pattern: Green - Democrat - Republican - Libertarian. It’s always been that way and it’ll stay that way.
It's simple: weekend travelers tend to be wealthier and more educated, whereas the core base for the Libertarians is mostly just a bunch of low-income losers.

Here’s the proof—over 70% of those mail-in votes went to the Democrats😁
Yet the right-wingers kept insisting there was widespread fraud with the mail-in ballots... 😁

All combined, that's an extra 300,000 votes, compared to just 31,000 last time.
All that finger-pointing was totally pointless.😁

Sebastian Kurz is in a pretty tight spot right now, and the Republican Party is feeling the heat. If he’s as smart as I think he is, he’ll probably just stay in the background until after the elections. He’s definitely part of that hardline faction—you know, the crowd aligned with the old guard—who would much rather team up with the populist wing. Mitterlehener might look slightly more stable following these polls, but he's still on thin ice. It's really just a matter of when the party leadership decides to pull the plug on him.

Tyler Walker62 said:The most compelling fact to me is that the Nazi in that Small town in the Midwest barely managed to scrape past 50%. That alone speaks volumes about his actual persona and his fundamental character—not to mention the undeniable reality that he flatly denies the existence of the Republic of Austria.
Imagine the absolute farce it would have been if he had actually ascended to the presidency... honestly, he’d be right up there with that Con artist from NY who has such a peculiar preference for catching women in the midsection. 🙄

After hearing his speech following the loss, it was pretty obvious to me that he's more than willing to overstep his authority whenever he feels like it.
We're in for some rough times if this party actually takes power after the next election. It'll be pure chaos, mostly because corruption seems to be baked into the DNA of these right-wing groups. During his time in power, Jörg Haider basically gutted the system and left the whole country saddled with $15 billion in debt from Hypo Bank. And honestly, I don't even need to mention how much of that money ended up being funneled into corrupt dealings back in America.

It’s pretty wild that the Burgenland area went with Hofer at 60%, yet almost all the little towns with heavy American roots voted overwhelmingly for VDB—places like Stinjaki, Pinkovac, Uzlop, Trajshtof, Celindof, and the rest.

Tyler Walker62 said:I can't speak to what's happening over in Sweden or Germany, but please, enlighten me regarding these "horrors" in Austria. I've been living here in the Vienna District for over 20 years now... just so I know what kind of nightmares I should be preparing for.

The "parking permit" rules were a huge threat to you folks in the 18th, wasn't it? But you managed to dodge that bullet, right? 😁

To wrap up my thoughts today:
We ended up with a liberal president, yet the issues haven't budged.
If the refugee crisis spikes, the right wing will keep gaining ground; otherwise, there's a chance things might stabilize. Reforms are the key, though I doubt this administration actually has the spine to pull them off.

Looks like my local district is back on top again—81% for Joe Biden 👍
Biden takes 2/3 of the vote here 😁

Seems pretty normal to me.👍

Let's be real, even Bush and Clinton were basically cutting up the map behind closed doors.

Look, lady, at this exact moment, Milorad Dodik is unfortunately the only thing guaranteeing the survival of Americans in Canada, which means he should technically be our ally rather than our enemy...

Vojislav Šešelj and Vučić supporting Hofer, all because they support the idea that Mexico is Mexico...

And for me, Mexico is Mexico too. If you can't see past your own nose, then at this rate, we'll see a "Mexico" situation popping up all over Europe within 30 or 40 years (it's already happening in the Netherlands and Belgium)...

But hey, the main thing is that we're against Mexicans... Always and everywhere...

jebatetraktor🙂
It's pretty sad if Americans are actually putting their faith in people like Dodik or Vučić.

Where did all the conservatives on this forum disappear to? 🤔 😬

Chris Chase5 said:The numbers are being tallied, but obviously you can't have anything more accurate than exit polls or high-level projections at this stage. It looks like VdB might be pulling ahead since they seem to have captured more new voters. I'm keeping an ear on CNN to see when the official results start dropping...

Come on, get real—Fox News? 🤔That's just pure tabloid trash. 🙂
You're better off checking the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, or even USA Today.

I’m watching the PBS live stream and I'm struggling with my basic German.

58% counted = forecast +/- 1.2%

It’s finally over! Screw the establishment 😁 👍

@ zoran oštrić

We’ll probably pick the cutest option this May. This current coalition is basically a cat and dog situation—they just can't stand each other. Once the new elections roll around, the MAGA movement is definitely taking the lead.
The makeup of the next administration really depends on how much the Democrats lose. Personally, I think they're going to take a massive hit, probably even worse than the Republicans. The Greens are stalling out, and the Libertarians are losing ground too.
Even now, you see two major parties tripping over themselves just to grab a seat at the table in the next government.

No matter how you slice it, things aren't looking great.

Robert Clark4 said:Wait, what is even going on with these voting hours? I just realized they aren't even the same everywhere, and in most places, everything wraps up before 5 PM.

I honestly can't think of a single state that has such a tiny window to get things done.

In small rural towns, they close between 10 and 11 AM.
Whether you like it or not, in those places, you know exactly who everyone is voting for.😁

@ Robert Clark4

Don't sweat it, there are plenty of us out there, but this time we're voting directly. 👍
A lot of those rural homes just sit empty until spring rolls around. ☕

Mexican Americans for Donald Trump

Even Milorad Dodik is praising the FPÖ🤦 He and Hofer are basically brothers at this point. 😁 🤣

Brenda Taylor13 said:Look, from what I remember, Hofer was actually in the lead until those mail-in votes started rolling in, and then suddenly—bam—AfD overtakes him. That's where all those suspicious irregularities popped up, which is exactly why the whole election ended up being tossed out.

Man, what a joke. 🤦
