I am truly delighted to share this wonderful news with everyone here today. kaže:
A certain acquaintance is currently undergoing treatment at the Mayo Clinic and is weighing in at approximately 242 pounds. Some guy actually suggested that his daily meal plan consists of just a quarter of a pastry for breakfast, three servings of chili beans for lunch, and a single banana for dinner.I was absolutely stunned when he told me that.

Oh my goodness, I am just absolutely thrilled! This is such wonderful news!👎 👎 🙂🙂🙂

I am reading this and honestly, I can hardly believe my eyes...!! 👎 🤷 🤷

It's true that Dr. Huber suggests taking calming tablets if someone is struggling to manage without eating,
but she definitely isn't handing them out like candy from her desk drawer!
Plus, you can't just grab medication from the Sesvete Community Health Center on a whim—they don't just hand those out there anyway, so getting them isn't that simple. 😉

As for the diet, she recommends cutting out carbs entirely and eating unlimited meat and low-carb veggies, with one day a week dedicated strictly to vegetables.

While I think her meal plan leaves a lot to be desired, it's really not as bad as you're making it out to be.
If we’re strictly talking about green, white, or black tea—since those are the only true teas in the US—then fruit and herbal blends aren't actually teas at all, they're just infusions, which means such a mixture loses its inherent value.
Most of the beneficial properties found in green tea come from polyphenols, which unfortunately oxidize into catechols once they're exposed to the air. Therefore, you should seal the container as quickly as possible and ideally add a squeeze of lemon juice to prevent that oxidation process.

and make sure to drink it immediately, because it will eventually turn bitter due to the tannins.

Do you have any old-school home remedies or grandma's classic tips that actually help get things moving smoothly again?
I am looking for specific foods that help or anything else you can think of.
From my experience, drinking warm lemon water on an empty stomach in the morning—whether with honey or without—doesn't do much for me at all.
Thanks!

Drinking warm lemon water might just give you diarrhea accompanied by some nasty stomach cramps, so if you were really looking for a heavy-duty solution, you might as well go for castor oil.😲 However, I wouldn't recommend either approach.
While some of those old wives' tales from our grandmothers are great, this particular one falls completely flat.

The real answer is to aim for a diet containing more than 25g to 30g of dietary fiber per day, though you shouldn't overdo it too drastically to avoid irritating your intestinal lining.
So, where can you find that fiber?
- Whole grains and whole-wheat breads (stay away from white bread since it has zero fiber), along with leafy greens like spinach, cauliflower, kale, and broccoli. Making a hearty vegetable stew with these ingredients will definitely help resolve constipation, especially if you toss in some beans or peas.
- A salad made with beans and red onions is another excellent way to solve the problem.
- Butter lettuce is also fantastic for sluggish bowels.
- Fruit is key, specifically apples—make sure to leave the skin on! They are rich in pectin, which is a water-soluble fiber, unlike the insoluble cellulose found in grains. Pears and figs are also great; try making a homemade fruit compote using pears and figs.
- Taking magnesium as a supplement can certainly help stimulate smooth muscle peristalsis.
But the real focus should remain on plant-based dietary fiber.
It is also vital to drink at least 2 liters of fluid daily because digestion is essentially a hydrolytic biochemical process that requires water to function and move through the intestines.

I would also suggest eating probiotic yogurt.

Try to limit fruits like bananas and avocados, as well as nuts.
Reduce your red meat intake and cut your sweets in half (depending on your weight goals).
Avoid white pasta, grits, and white rice.

Instead, swap regular pasta for whole-grain versions, which you can easily find at Walmart or similar stores.

Swap out white flour for whole wheat flour (brands like Kraft Heinz or Miller carry these in most major grocery chains 😂), and mix it with some graham or dark flour (like the Kraft Heinz variety) to make healthier, more nutritious, and easier-to-digest pancakes, bread, or pizza.

You can also pick up some Fiber crackers at almost any local shop. (Not trying to run an ad here!)
Of course, there are nutritional supplements available for people who don't feel like cooking, but that is a whole different conversation...☕

I shared some guidance on where to find a qualified nutritionist because, in New York City, only a handful of practitioners actually possess the necessary credentials. It is quite unfortunate that there are unqualified individuals out there, though I won't be naming names right now since we all know why certain things have to remain unsaid...
In San Francisco, there is one person who considers themselves a nutritionist through sheer self-proclamation, yet one must be careful about making such definitive statements on this forum due to the principles of free speech. 🤷
Over in Orlando, however, there is a legitimate doctor of nutrition.

Regardless, I was simply attempting to help someone by providing information on where they might locate a professional nutritionist within the USA, as that was their specific request. Moving forward, I will stick to private messages, as it seems we are reaching a point where even discussion threads are becoming scarce.

It is worth noting that I didn't provide any specific addresses or drop any hints regarding particular individuals; I merely specified the city.

Kudos to the administrators.🙏

And of course, please accept my apologies...🙏 ☕

or perhaps even sooner—consult a nutritionist! 😉
