Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Loving your country and loving your government aren't the same thing.
The people who hold the reins of power are always the first ones to trumpet this brand of blind, unconditional patriotism.
But you have to wonder: who actually loves the nation more? Is it the ones who couldn't care less about its condition, or the ones who demand better because they truly believe it can be improved?

This kind of empty rhetoric from those in charge is just plain nauseating.

I was watching CNN the other day when I caught Ivica Relković making a point—or at least, that’s how I gathered it from his commentary—that the Republican Party could actually stand to benefit from a fresh crisis. His logic seemed to be that the fallout from the first wave of the pandemic, and the subsequent recovery efforts, just didn't linger long enough to serve their political purposes. If that kind of thinking is truly their underlying playbook, then God help us all; we're looking at a future defined by a chronic cycle of manufactured chaos designed specifically to suit the whims of certain leaders.

That guy—let's call him our local version of a career politician—is still holding a top spot within the Republican Party and sitting right there on the ballot. Honestly, I don't think anyone needs me to spell out his track record back in San Diego or his run during that old administration under our former President. We all know how he operates.
And that's precisely my point. It's all one big interconnected web—it's basically the same leadership over and over again: the current President, that same political strategist, the old guard, the party insiders, and the whole bunch of them... they're all cut from the exact same cloth.

Fortunately, we might finally see someone like that other politician step in to rein them in. 😁
Or rather, 😬

The Republican Party’s dream team lineup for the Midwest: John Marshall, Alexander Hamilton, and a small town in the Midwest

"- It’s blindingly obvious that the role of a manager running state-owned enterprises needs to be walled off from politics. Either we admit that politics is driving these public companies—in which case, let’s call it what it is—or we stop pretending they are mere managers who shouldn't enjoy perks and contract privileges unavailable to standard politicians. These public entities operate under private law, following the same rules as any business entity rather than acting as political instruments. There ought to be a total separation.
They need to decide whether they are actually going to be managers or if they just want to be politicians. Their mandate is to protect the strategic interests of the public through these corporations. While you can understand the impulse to push recognizable faces into the political arena, this looks like a clear abuse of the system, says John Adams, head of the administrative science department at Yale Law School.

An article from Newsweek — Miro Kovač is calling on the emergency task force to make a statement 😁

"The health of our fellow citizens is our absolute priority. Our primary duty is to protect human lives.

Regarding the elections scheduled for Sunday, March 15th of this year, over 200,000 members of the Republican Party hold voting rights. The election process is slated to take place across 567 polling stations throughout America, running from 8 AM to 7 PM. Every municipality and city will host one polling location, with the exception of Miami and Washington, D.C., which will have two and seventeen locations respectively.

Given that several thousand voters could potentially descend upon a single polling station within an eleven-hour window, I am requesting an urgent recommendation regarding whether we should proceed with the election as planned," Miro Kovač concludes in his memo.

When Kovacs first started strutting around like he owned the place, my initial thought was that someone must have pushed him toward the candidacy on Plenković's orders. Now? I’m pretty sure that's exactly what happened. 😁
You might want to give B12 spray a shot; it’s what was suggested to me. I've been dealing with a deficiency myself, stemming from an autoimmune thyroid condition.

I’ll admit, I don’t claim to fully grasp the mechanics of it all—I’m not out here spinning my own conspiracy theories from scratch—I just tend to point out where they already exist. But fine... I won't go looking for another headache.

I just got flagged for trolling in a thread about the Convention on Violence Against Women for this specific post:

Quote:
Since the official statements are so vague—using loaded terms like "snake whisperers" or "false prophets," which basically lets anyone project whatever bias they want onto the situation—I actually appreciated seeing such a blunt, transparent breakdown of what the UN treaty aims to achieve and the potential dystopia we face if it gets ratified. 😬

"This is a heavy issue. If we follow this path, decisions regarding whether women can serve as priests won't be made by the Pope anymore, but by this 'Convention.' I'm not saying this to scare people. This is simply the reality; if the Convention passes, these will be the long-term consequences."

Under those circumstances, we might see a female "Pope" leading The World Capital. Perhaps that's part of the larger scheme to dismantle the Church as an institution. American politicians seem pretty clueless about it, or maybe they’re just echoing whatever is being shouted at them from Brussels.

I'm curious: if I hadn't included my initial sarcastic remark, would sharing a link that interprets the fallout of the Convention—which is clearly being circulated in certain religious circles to drum up opposition—still be labeled as trolling?
Thanks.
