stormybadger8 said:The whole issue with mods on Formula 1 is actually the exact opposite of what you're claiming...
The real problem is that they allowed—or rather, gave access back to—certain people (some with their original accounts, others using clones) despite those same individuals having permanent bans and partial restrictions on the Formula 1 forums😍

The thing is, those specific people are actually interesting 👍 the salt and pepper of the Formula 1 boards 👍 the types of characters that make me want to come here and read this forum in the first place 👍

If you push them away, all you'll have left are boring drones like ruggedfox28 ----> at which point you might as well just lock the forum and call it a day 👍

Joe, do you actually know anything about this guy in my avatar? F1 fans from his era pretty much agree—unanimously—that he was the fastest driver on the grid... though he always had some drama with his team in the corners. I wonder if there’s any real connection between his situation and yours—mostly regarding how people tend to hype up his greatness after he’s gone?

William Bennett53 said:cosmiccyclist8 got hit with a warning card for trying to lecture the mods because he decided to pick a fight with a blue moderator alert right in the middle of the thread. It’s not that he actually got banned—it’s just that he already had an impressive amount of points from elsewhere, most of which he racked up on other sites. Plus, he’s been around this forum long enough to know you don't critique moderation within a specific discussion thread; there are actual dedicated channels for that kind of thing.
Also, if you’re planning on making a formal complaint, show up with links and concrete examples instead of just throwing a pure troll tantrum like you did in your last post.

Did someone lose their crown? 😁 Let's give it back. 😁
At least the kid was being honest—and since there’s no real way to appeal here, it’s hardly surprising he blew up over a perceived injustice... besides, half the time you're the one provoking him, letting him run for two or three posts, and then—bam—you ban him just because you're bored.

Here are three totally unnecessary warnings issued lately—there probably would have been more if this hadn't been deleted...

Over here, you hand out a warning to Jozi instead of just moving the conversation to the chat room
yet his comment right underneath stays unpunished. Unbelievable. 🙏

Give a break with those reputation points. I've said it before: you guys aren't Formula 1 or anything high-stakes; it's just Jozi, Pila, Maminjo, Maxym... it makes my hair stand on end seeing how certain individuals from that specific clique constantly get favored.

stormybadger8 said:cosmiccyclist8 and ruggedhawk20, why do I get this feeling that you guys would pick fights with the moderators even if they were just your own clones?—and I mean you’d be arguing exclusively with your own doubles 😬

Basically, I have a hunch that then there would be way more fighting going on, maybe even some actual insults...
But hey, if nothing else, at least it would be entertaining to read ruggedhawk20 trying to explain to himself (well, his clone) that he’s just a total nobody.🤣

If I were a moderator, I’d still be absolute garbage at it.

Plus, I’d probably lose all my friends instantly—if I got into a debate with William Bennett53 or Wayout, the second they started getting on my nerves, I’d just ban them. Just enough points to land them in the doghouse for trolling or spamming, and mine would be the last one standing.

And would that make me fit for the job? Obviously not. So how did certain people actually manage to pull it off? And why doesn't the admin team do anything about them picking on people?

Can we please just get it through our heads once and for all that Joe, Pila, and Maminjo are basically Formula 1—yet somehow, one of them is always being blamed for everything going wrong

Tyler Ross56 said:Given the recent back-and-forth regarding the last race—and honestly, looking at the state of this entire subforum—
I’m calling for The Edge to step in here as the ultimate authority
and actually enforce some rules. Don't get me wrong, the current mods are great, truly—but they're a bit too nice for their own good, which makes them way too soft when it comes to actual moderation.

The Edge already tried playing hero in a similar thread about Formula 1 moderation once before—no thanks, we really don't need another one of those.

It feels like people are getting banned for absolutely nothing lately—and when there isn't a real reason, they just slap on a generic "violating subforum rules" or "trolling and spamming" label... which is especially ridiculous since it's happening right in the chat topic designed specifically for that kind of stuff.

Check out the last warning Mom gave him before he got sent packing—you probably don't even want to look at this.image

Also, if someone starts "dragging things out" in specific threads, it would be so much easier to just move those few posts over to the chat topic where we can actually finish the debate, rather than constantly issuing warnings and handing out bans... but I guess that’s just too complicated an operation for the Formula 1 mods.

Roger Williams3 said:Kimi has been absolutely tearing it up against Alonso so far—we're only at lap 15 and he's already got a 10-second gap on him out on track.

Honestly, if it weren't for Ricciardo, those Ferrari geniuses would have had this figured out by now.

Felipe Massa had a killer race.

Jules Bianchi 😍😍

Kimi—man, what a masterclass start. He completely fooled both Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo... then, well, life happens.

Alonso was basically invisible the entire race.

Daniel Ricciardo is going to be my driver for the next ten years. 😁

Meanwhile, over on the Raikkonen-Alonso thread, people are busy whining about how Kimi just tricked them. 😁

What a bunch of losers. 😁

I’m really hoping Lewis Hamilton can actually step up and do something about the guy cheating right in front of him.

that fraud is out there dropping fastest laps like it's nothing 🙄

So, now we get to hear the Maestro venting over the radio 🙂🙂 🙂 🙂

Kimi Raikkonen, what a move 🙏
It’s dropping like it’s coming straight out of a busted power line—is this actually Coulthard live right now?
😬

thanks
Hey, any idea if there’s going to be a stream available for qualifying?

How long do you two color-coded types actually have to edit your posts? I remember pretty clearly that Stinger can go back and scrub his nonsense even after 5 or 6 hours have passed—so now I’m genuinely curious, how long does this window actually stay open for you guys?
Wasn't there one year where the rain was just absolutely insane—like, nothing you've ever seen in Formula 1 before?

We’re all just amateur fortune tellers in here, aren't we? 🤣

Well, look—honestly, a huge chunk of them actually made it to the finish line. I guess I was just being overly pessimistic and expecting way fewer 😁
