What a game. Honestly, after halftime, I figured the Philadelphia Eagles would just wrap it up in the third, but the New Orleans Saints caught everyone off guard. Riewolt, Hayes, Del Santa... man, what a ride.
The pub was packed—about 30 of us. Half were local players and half were Australians. It was split down the middle, half cheering for the Saints and half for the Eagles, though the Saints fans definitely had more volume. That energy after Riewolt's mark early in the fourth quarter was something else.
So, what’s next? Another game next week. The pub mentioned they're opening at 6 again, but most of our guys won't be there since we're heading to Milan for the UEFA Euro (http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_p...soc=8112&pID=1). Still, those Australians who were there and are sticking around will show up next week. If anyone wants to hang out and watch the game with the real fans, feel free to drop by...
And if any of you want to come out and train...
Thomas Bishop85 said:It’s on Eurosport, but watching it there is like sitting through a local rivalry game with a cat. It’s always better when you're with the crew, surrounded by Americans, grabbing some breakfast at the local pub...

Either the coach refused to keep training him if he keeps competing for the US.
Or they just didn't offer him enough cash to make the switch to the US team.
And honestly, I can't blame the Americans for not wanting to drop a massive pile of money to train a mid-tier athlete.
I doubt we're talking about a fortune here. Just look at what Draganja got when he was already on a plane to Qatar just to keep competing for the US. The amount here was way smaller than that. If even the national federation wouldn't shell out the cash for a "mid-tier" guy in a niche sport, why all the outrage over his choice? What he couldn't get in the US, his neighbors offered him.

If there was any actual will from the US Ski Association, they could have easily fixed this.

That’s only about a second slower than another American kid, Juanee Cilliers, who's actually their first junior (and she's a full year younger than Caster). To drop 10 seconds in just 10 months... something stinks. If we were talking long-distance races, losing 10 seconds isn't a big deal, but for this? It feels like too much.
True, she’s built more like a 400m runner. Reminded me of how Haile Gebrselassie looks compared to the typical scrawny guys running the 10,000m.
Maybe there's some genetic condition involved, but the results from the gender test conducted by World Athletics haven't been released yet.

You can grab videos from YouTube and watch them in crystal clear quality, no lag at all. Plus, it even lets you pull the audio out of a video and turn it into an MP3. Seriously, it’s a total lifesaver!
