It's getting crowded at the top after two days. There's no way Miguel Jimenez can maintain this kind of pace until the end. What are you guys thinking? Any predictions?
I don't know why, but I've started pulling for Jason Day.
Phil Mickelson finishes as runner-up at the US Open for the sixth time. He looked like he was on the verge of tears at the end. 😢 He’s got nobody to blame but himself. His driving was just heartbreaking today.
Congrats to Justin Rose. That course was brutal—none of these heavy hitters could manage to stay under par. Those greens were lightning fast everywhere. 🙏
Gotta give credit to Jason Day, too. He’s always hovering right near the top in these big tournaments. His moment is coming, provided he doesn't end up like Mickelson 😳 )

Weather is perfect today. Tiger should be hitting the Tee in about 15 minutes. It's going to be a great night of PGA Tour.
I'll be watching along with you today 🙂
Can't catch everything, so I missed the first three days. Phil Mickelson is still holding the lead, but the leaderboard is crowded. Could get intense tonight.

😁
I used to have an English commentator when I tuned into Augusta National. Now they swapped him out for an American one. Just a byproduct of localizing the broadcast. Since I'm no PGA Tour expert, it doesn't bother me too much.

John Smith, the star player for the Detroit Lions, just officially accepted an offer from USA Football to serve as the US Ambassador to the American National Team.
John started out with the Chicago Bears, but now he's playing for the Detroit Lions. He’s got that classic, old-school grit—tough, fearless, and hits hard. Standing at 6'7" and weighing about 225 pounds, he’s easily one of the top ruckmen in the NFL.
John didn't take long to get settled. He's more than happy to step up as the Ambassador, helping our federation hit that big goal: the World Cup in Melbourne. Welcome aboard, John. Here's hoping we all get together next year to watch the US National Team crush it at the World Cup.
Does the Ambassador actually do anything, or is it just a setup for photo ops with Smith? 😁
What’s the deal with the rest of the guys, like Pavlich and Didak? Do they still hold onto their roots, or have they gone full American?

Rooting for Alabama. 😍
This matchup feels pretty grim. Honestly, I'm torn on who to pull for. 🤷
Kansas State, Oregon, and Georgia—every single one of them had a shot to stop this from happening, but they all dropped the ball.
"In the South in general, but Alabama in particular, about everything north of the Mason-Dixon Line, there's a real sense of defensiveness," noted Wayne Flynt, the Encyclopedia of Alabama and professor emeritus of history at Auburn. "And that includes Notre Dame, which represents a massive symbol of success in America.
"When you're ranked in the bottom five nationwide... in nearly every single quality-of-life metric, and the national media constantly beats you over the head about how backward things are, you end up with a massive chip on your shoulder. We don't really lead in many areas outside of college football—but in that arena, we're absolute powerhouses.
"There's one team that vies for supremacy with Alabama in college football. That's Notre Dame. They're basically the ultimate definition of ‘The Other,' if you want to look at it through a sociological lens."
What’s the consensus among the draft experts? Any real shot for this Estonac kid from SMU? He was a junior world champ in discus and shot put, so I wonder if he actually makes the cut during the draft.
Scott Collins30 said:Can someone who actually follows this stuff explain why Ohio State isn't bowl eligible? And honestly, what makes this team strong enough to be ranked higher than teams like Notre Dame or Oregon?
A few seasons back, players were out there selling signed jerseys just to trade them for free tattoos. Under NCAA rules, they can't do that because they're supposed to be amateurs. The coach at the time found out, but he tried to sweep it under the rug.
But colleges raking in millions from TV rights and coaches signing massive contracts? That doesn't break the amateurism rule. 🙄
Would Ohio State be in the playoff hunt if they weren't penalized? Absolutely.
jadeskipper74 said:Great read. Honestly, even if cheering for Notre Dame should be banned by international law, they could easily make it to the championship game this year. They deserve it.
What kind of metrics are we using to decide if they actually earned a spot over Oregon State or Kansas State? 😉
Personally, I'd love to see a title game between two schools that haven't won it all before.
