Ugh, I honestly can't tell you if I personally waited at the Vineyard location. But I did look into private options, and I think prices are roughly around 200-$100. You should check out the price list on the Analiza clinic website 🙂

It’s just your standard blood draw, but unfortunately, the wait times are absolutely brutal. :/

So, someone recommended I get my bloodwork done to check my thyroid hormones (T3, T4, TSH), and I should have the referral from my doctor in a few days.
I was wondering which hospitals in Chicago handle this kind of testing, whether I need to make an appointment, what time I should show up (I’m assuming early morning 🤷), and if there’s anything specific I should or shouldn't do right before the draw?

Any help would be much appreciated! 🙂

The Vineyard hospital definitely does that. Just heads up—you might be waiting a month or two for an opening. If you don't want to wait that long, there are private labs where you don't need a referral; you just pay out of pocket.

Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Laura Parker32 said:How can you actually tell what stage your hemorrhoids are at?

Look, you really can't guess. You have to go in for an exam and let a doctor determine the exact stage for you.

You definitely need a referral to see an ophthalmologist.

I know someone who went just a month ago and said they only paid $60 minimum.
Thanks!

At Unknown Organization, toward the end of January this year. They took a tissue sample for analysis, which I had to pay an extra $17 for, so the total came to about $30. 🙂

Alright, fine. Let's do this from Washington, D.C.

Dr. Leonardo DiCaprio works for the Oakland Athletics. 😉
I paid for the gastroscopy myself, about $13 (I don't have supplemental insurance).

The real question is whether we're just dealing with hemorrhoids or if they've teamed up with an anal fissure. Those two often show up together as a package deal. Honestly, nothing in the Fact helps at all.

I’m pretty sure Dr. Duško Kardum runs a private practice too. Do a little digging on Google 🙂

I had to wait about a month and a half just to get an appointment at Rib. Honestly, if you're looking for the longest specialist waiting lists, you'll find them over at KB Dubrava.

@ Jesse Green13: Where in the US can I pick up that JodisM? Their website looks like it’s based out of Mexico, so I was wondering if you ordered it directly from them?

Why would you even bother going private? Just see your primary care doctor and get a referral for a gastroenterologist... you can find top-tier specialists in that field at Rib or KB Dubrava.
Oh, absolutely... you just have to cough up the cash and they'll take care of everything for you. 😉

Honestly, just go check out the thread on vulvodynia. I'm pretty sure you'll find some actual answers over there.🙂
The most powerful 3T scanner in the country is over at the National Institute of Mental Health. I’m pretty sure they take Medicare. You should probably look into it.

I don't see how rubbing your butt is even remotely related to rubbing between your toes? 🤔
There is a massive difference between someone dealing with mild irritation and someone facing fourth-stage hemorrhoids. So go ahead, tell someone suffering from stage four to just slather on some random cream while they're at it—and hey, why not rub it between your toes too? Wow, brilliant idea!
Most people posting here looking for advice are usually in situations where they actually need to see a specialist and undergo a medical procedure.
Every hospital has a dedicated email address for centralized patient scheduling. You just scan your referral, dig up the specific hospital's contact info on their website, and follow their instructions regarding what details to include in the body of the email. Attach the scanned referral, and you're good to go. They’ll either confirm an appointment time or let you know if they aren't handling searches through that channel. Usually, you'll hear back within 24 hours.
If you don't have supplemental insurance, you're stuck paying $8.25 copays for every visit, plus $8.25 extra if they run any specialist tests (something simpler, like an ultrasound, would fall under that category).
Flu symptoms in Health ·
If you need to bring down a fever, Lupocet effervescent tablets (1000 mg) work well. For muscle and bone aches, go with 600 mg of Advil.
It doesn't matter if you got your flu shot last year... there’s basically a new strain or type of virus popping up every single year. This year's flu is nasty; I was shivering with a fever for about four days straight. Some people breeze through it in a week, while others take much longer, so don't stress too much about the timeline. Just stick to tea, rest, and call it a day. 🙂

I found some websites for hospitals and doctors, but there was absolutely nothing on them.

Aren't the Russians actually top-tier in that field? They seem to operate on just about everything—was it always like that? 🤔
