Where exactly does the money the EU pays Russia for gas end up, and can it be redirected elsewhere?
If Russia isn't actually receiving those funds, then the EU is essentially in breach of contract—they aren't paying for the resources they're consuming.
I suspect these sanctions will only serve to accelerate dedollarization, which I view as a highly positive development.
Let's be clear: they aren't getting gas for free. It's up to them to figure out how they want to handle that.
Essentially, the EU has imposed sanctions on itself that every citizen will end up footing the bill for. And if we're being honest, the US was the primary driver here, essentially ordering its loyal EU subordinate to follow suit.

Good grief—this is the kind of stuff that makes you want to grab a rifle and start taking out Republican Party members one by one until you run out of ammo 🙏
Look, I’m telling you, withholding taxes is basically the only way anyone manages to scrape by these days. You can't steal money that was never handed over in the first place. Taxation is nothing more than theft.

And honestly? No court ruling is ever going to change that reality. Not even massive trials, huge scandals, cabinet shakeups, or the way the headquarters bends every single policy to suit whoever happens to be in power.
Just a month ago, Donald Trump openly stated he wants much harsher measures in place for citizens than what we see now. Should I really give my vote to that leftist totalitarian, that relic of communism? I’d rather have the Republican Party in power. (Never thought I'd say it, but here we are—choosing the lesser of two evils.)
He’s just a weak, totalitarian lightweight. You have to look further afield; for now, I'm putting my chips on the Progressives. That's where my vote went.
The Democratic Party is already a walking corpse, starting to lash out desperately. A vote for them is a wasted vote.
Using Vote.org would boost turnout. Period. You’re worried about security because you don't grasp the technical side, but I’m telling you, it can be done securely.
If I had the option to vote online, my participation wouldn't hover around 50%; it would likely hit 100%. Apply that logic to the rest of the country.
I'm sorry, but you're mistaken on every count here and defending the indefensible. I won't drag this out any further, though, since we're drifting off-topic.
Of course turnout would increase. Personally, I manage to make it out about 50% of the time. Sometimes I'm out of town, sometimes I just can't be bothered to drive 1.5 miles from my house, or maybe I've got a BBQ going that day. It would also cut down on the chances of people faking their participation.
Is discussing fare evasion without facing a penalty forbidden now? Should I just leave that detail out? Good grief, we are talking about real-life situations here.
If the fare is $1.25, everyone will buy a ticket and revenue will go up. If it hits 8 or $3.25, nobody is buying anything and people will just jump the turnstile.
From what I gather, it’s against the rules to mention that a person isn't required to show their ID to a transit officer. I was simply sharing my own experiences; I wasn't encouraging anyone to do anything.
Am I not allowed to tell people what their rights are? A person has the right to withhold their ID from anyone except a police officer. The fact that the consequence is avoiding a fine isn't my problem.
But fine, I get it. I won't post anything against TT over there. Feel free to lock the thread.
Even if I were at my absolute best, completely relaxed, and head over heels in love, I’d still lose my cool if someone tried to force a product on me against my will and strip away my basic rights.
Well, you won't!
Instead, I notice I don't even have the option to set a signature anymore. Real nice move by the forum moderators.
I haven't had sex since Mr. Brown started popping up in the news, and honestly, I think she’s the reason I developed some partial impotence.
At this rate, I might never go at it again—especially if both she and this pandemic stick around for the long haul. 😢
Regarding that thread, the moderators banned me from sharing my views as an American citizen, so I can't comment there. But yeah, it’s a joke if that's how they're running things.
I got hit with a partial ban because I mentioned that a friend's cousin passed away right after getting vaccinated, which I assume was a particularly nasty case.
If I ever do end up having sex again, I'll just picture her face; that should be an effective way to bring things to an end.

They’re smart enough to know this isn't just about their own kid sitting in a doctor's office in Chicago... we aren't talking about you or your individual child here... I’ll say it one more time for the folks in the back... this is a numbers game. It's about how a virus spreads through massive populations in a tiny window of time... vaccination is prevention... pure and simple prevention... it's what you might call "controlled immunity spreading."
I’m not a religious man, unfortunately. I prefer to stick to hard data, scientific consensus, and cold logic.
Keith Martin7 said:I honestly don't see much point in vaccinating kids anymore since the whole narrative about shots being better than natural immunity has completely flipped over the last month. I’ve been constantly Googling "natural immunity vs vaccination," and up until recently, every headline seemed to scream that getting the jab was way superior to just recovering from the virus naturally.
But ever since that massive study came out of Israel showing that natural immunity is actually 10 to 20 times more effective at preventing reinfection compared to the vaccine, the media has stopped acting like vaccination is this perfect shield against infection.
Just look for yourselves: https://www.google.com/search?q=natu...&bih=638&dpr=1
The bottom line is that while the vaccine definitely helps lower your chances of ending up in the hospital, I'm really not buying the idea that vaccinating children is going to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Children are essentially just a way for Big Pharma to expand its customer base and push more products. It’s not about stopping transmission. Just like the seasonal flu, this will be part of our lives forever.🙂
Alex Walker8 said:Someone in my household just tested positive... how long do I need to quarantine since I'm a close contact?
Exactly as much as your doctor or the CDC tells you—nothing more, nothing less. Just call your physician. In my case, they told me zero days; if I felt fine, I could head straight to work. For someone else, they might order them to stay home. It’s all pretty arbitrary and based on individual guidance.
