Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
I had the DG HAL-RaR done about 20 days ago, but I’m still dealing with pain and burning during and after bowel movements. Plus, I can still see a large hemorrhoid—I originally had one big one and two small ones—right at the exit. It looks like it's just "tightened up" inside now and isn't popping out anymore, obviously, but it still feels pretty sizable to me. No bleeding, though—not right after the surgery anyway, just a little spotting a few days later.
So, I'm wondering—is it normal to still have this pain and burning when going, and for the hemorrhoid to still be clearly visible? Or did something go wrong here? :/
How long does it actually take for everything to fully retract and disappear?

One more question about Advil tablets. I read somewhere that they’re way cheaper in Canada than they are here, but from what I've managed to find so far—which is just the Sarajevo pharmacy—the price is actually even higher! 😕
Has anyone actually picked some up from across the border? Is there really a price difference, and if so, where's the best place to buy?

Is anyone else at Mercury getting the DG-HAL (RAR) done besides Dr. Ivanovic?

For sure. 😁
But I'm trying to get ready here—honestly, looking through these few posts, I haven't really gotten a clear idea of what to actually expect...

Michael Diaz4 said:The initial phase is just the first step. That's when DG HAL handles everything easily without any pain. For good...

In my case—like I mentioned before—it's Stage III, so now I'm not even sure if I can dodge RAR—especially since you said reconstruction only happens once they're out and can't go back in. :/

Michael Diaz4 said:Anal reconstruction is necessary once the hemorrhoids prolapse and won't go back in. HAL is definitely better because it's a more modern approach—there aren't even pain receptors in the area where they work. If you're still in the early stages of the condition, you don't need RAR, which means zero pain and basically no sick days.

Mine aren't just popping out—from what I can tell, they're constantly prolapsed at Stage IV.
Hopefully, I can dodge that whole RAR add-on. 😁
What does "early stage" actually mean here? Like, Stage II?

Michael Diaz4 said:RAR refers to anal area reconstruction—usually done for stage three or four cases. There’s plenty written about this here along with some good links. Regarding the THD (Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization) method: THD stands for Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialization. It’s a very safe, successful, minimally invasive approach. The procedure is outpatient, meaning you go home the same day. THD uses Doppler technology to pinpoint the exact location of the hemorrhoidal arteries; then, those arteries are tied off, and the tissue is repositioned where it belongs. This technique doesn't actually remove tissue—it's essentially a "de facto" reshaping of the perianal area. Patient satisfaction with this method is high, and most people expect to get back to work and their normal routine within 24 to 48 hours.

DG-HAL + RAR method: Much like the THD method, this one is designed to tackle the root cause of enlarged hemorrhoidal nodes—basically treating the actual source of the disease. By using transanal sutures, the arteries supplying blood to the diseased hemorrhoidal node are tied off. They use a Doppler ultrasound probe to find the exact terminal branches of those arteries. Since the sutures are placed in a part of the bowel without sensory nerves, there's no pain. Because nothing is being cut or damaged, the function of the hemorrhoidal node stays almost entirely intact. To keep things comfortable, the surgery is done under local or spinal anesthesia—no need for general anesthesia. Patients head home the same day, and most can jump back into daily life in just 1 or 2 days.

I’ve already read all that, don't worry. But both THD and DG-HAL mention using Doppler to tie off the arteries. So what's the actual difference?
And regarding RAR—when exactly is it needed for stage III, seeing as both THD and DG-HAL are also used for stage III, right?

Michael Diaz4 said:HAL with the RAR add-on is the gold standard when you need rectal area reconstruction. It’s practically a 100% success rate. Everything else is just a waste of time...

What does "reconstruction" actually entail here? And when is it even necessary versus when it isn't?
From what I can gather, there's no cutting involved with either THD or DG-HAL—so how the hell does the reconstruction part even work?
Honestly, I haven't even figured out the actual difference between those two methods yet. 😁
Sorry if I'm pestering you, but since you've been through the whole ringer yourself, you're clearly the best person to ask.

Well, I’m officially scheduled for "the knife." Grade III—one big one, two small ones. The creams don't touch it anymore; surgery is unavoidable. Gotta get it done ASAP.
So, I've gotta know—does any public hospital besides Mercury actually perform THD or DG-HAL?
And does anyone know a private clinic where it costs less than ten grand?! 😁
Is it any cheaper over in Canada or Mexico?
This is unbelievable—it's like paying ten thousand bucks for thirty minutes of work... 😲

Anyway, the guy I saw for my exam claims he only recognizes Morgan-Milligan as the way to go. Says it's the only permanent fix and that all this "new stuff" hasn't been proven and the problem will definitely come back.
But based on everything I’ve read over the last few months—both here and on various other sites—everyone seems to say that while M-M comes with horrific post-op pain, it practically guarantees a recurrence compared to THD/DG-HAL, which supposedly has a success rate of 95%+.
So, you tell me how to be smart here. Why the hell were these new methods even introduced if M-M is such a sure thing? 🤔
Or is it just a case of "every doctor praises his own horse," while the patient gets screwed?

Michael Diaz4 said:That’s just a short-term painkiller. I used it for massages twice a day after the surgery—as for the cream with the numbing effect, that's Lidoproct.

Look, these creams all have their own little thing going on. It really just comes down to which one works better and which one sucks.
But I've been reading through this thread too, and people are saying the effects of Tylenol are absolutely top-notch.
Not even talking about cases after surgery—I mean just for "regular" use. It’s supposed to ease the discomfort, right? If it's an analgesic, shouldn't I actually feel some improvement in the lump itself? Because honestly, it feels like I didn't even apply anything at all.

fadedpanther7 said:THERAPY
When you're at the peak of a hemorrhoid flare-up—basically when the inflammation is hitting hardest—there’s really only one thing that actually works: Tylenol gel. It's an anesthetic—meaning it numbs the area—and you just lightly apply it with your finger right at the opening. The results are honestly incredible: within about 15 minutes, the pain dies down fast, and the swelling goes down enough to finally give the rectum some breathing room to let things pass!

It says anesthetic right here. And I think I saw it somewhere else too.

EDIT: Here it is.

Timothy Morgan38 said:I dealt with hemorrhoids once—and I mean absolutely catastrophic ones. I have no clue what triggered it... maybe it was spicy food, sitting too much, or some combination of both? Who knows. I've never had issues before that, and I haven't had any since. I’ve always been diligent about cleaning up after every bathroom trip, so it was probably just a bad mix of sitting around too long, hard stools, and eating way too much pepper.

But since I actually took the time to dig into this—really did my homework—I know a damn amount about hemorrhoids now...

The cream I recommend is Tylenol... you can just pick it up over the counter at any pharmacy. My doctor suggested it after Johnson & Johnson didn't do a damn thing for me.

I was doubled over in pain for about three weeks straight... I couldn't lie down, sit, or even walk properly. Honestly, I felt like a total invalid—just completely incapacitated. I had massive inflammation from hemorrhoids, and there were about 6 to 8 pretty large, inflamed ones right around the anal opening.

Ever since I started taking Tylenol, my hemorrhoids actually started BURSTING... honestly, the bleeding was so bad it felt like someone shoved a knife in my gut. The biggest, most inflamed ones just popped—but weirdly enough, the smaller ones calmed down, shrank, and the swelling finally went away. Basically, everything cleared up within 4 or 5 days.

Since then, whenever I get that stinging itch down there after washing and drying off, I just slap some Tylenol on it and call it a day... Honestly, since I started doing that, there hasn't been any pain or bleeding at all. Simple as that.

If you've reached the advanced stages with those hemorrhoids, you seriously need to pick up that ANSOO wash. Honestly—if you pair it with some Tylenol, it works incredibly fast.

So I got 6-8 extra pieces loaded up, and they're all gone in like 4-5 days? :/

Can anyone tell me about their experience with Tylenol gel?
I recently read online that this stuff is a total game-changer—that nothing else compares, no other creams, just this. People were saying it provides maximum relief; one person even claimed their hemorrhoids completely vanished after just a few days of use!
I’ve tried all sorts of creams before—the last one was some herbal oil blend, which was useless—so I figured I’d give Tylenol a shot since everyone makes it out to be such a miracle worker.
Well, I’ve been using it for three days now and I feel absolutely zero effect! Not only is the discomfort still there and the swelling hasn't gone down, but when I actually apply the gel, I don't feel a single thing! 🤔 No numbing sensation, no cooling effect, nothing. How is that even possible? I assumed this gel had an anesthetic component and you were supposed to actually feel something when applying it to the area?
My issues aren't massive—it just bothers me occasionally, so I apply it then. But with every other ointment I've used, I at least felt that immediate numbing sensation. And then there's the lasting relief you get with those. But with this gel? Nothing.
I checked the tube—it's not expired; it's good for another year. 😁

Most other browsers probably have something similar.

I use Chrome.
But I haven't been on the site in forever—who knows when.
In the meantime, the drive was swapped out and Windows was completely reinstalled, so trying to dig that data off the hard drive is just a waste of time.

What kind of phone number is this?!
There isn't a phone number listed—this isn't some local news site.
It's an international website.
And what even is this "email Hotline"?
I already tried reaching out through their contact form, but absolutely nobody is getting back to me.
Not sure why—I haven't been on there long.
But I need an answer ASAP.

So yeah, looks like I have no other way to get a hold of them.
Cracking website login passwords in Software ·
Let me be crystal clear right off the bat—this isn't some attempt at data theft or anything illegal. 😁
I just need to get into an account where I’ve completely forgotten the password. I can't brute-force it myself, and to make matters worse, I don't even have access to the email address linked to the account anymore, so the "Forgot password" option is totally useless to me.
Getting back into this site is huge for me, so I'm genuinely open to any help you can offer.

So, here's the setup: it's your standard login form, just username and password fields.
I've got the username down, but the password is a total mystery.

Is there any software out there that could actually pull this off?
I'm a complete novice at this stuff. I did some Googling and stumbled upon a program called Brutus, but honestly, I have zero clue how to use it—or if it can even do what I need.

If anyone actually knows their way around this, please hit me up via PP.
It might be better than dragging this out in a public thread.
I'm more than willing to pay for the help since this is such a high priority for me.

Again, I'm repeating myself: there is absolutely no malicious intent here.
I'm just not sure what the rules are regarding topics like this on this forum, so I wanted to make my position clear from the start.

Thanks.

btw, if you actually have the patience, try selling the components individually. They’re still pretty decent and you'll walk away with more cash that way. 🙂

Fine. I'll think about it and keep an eye on the market.
Thanks for the help!😁

Anyway, an estimate for:
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P, socket AM2+
$67
AMD Phenom II x4 940 Black Edition, AM2+, 3.0GHz
$150
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 275, 896 MB GDDR3, 2400 MHz
$117

So what should I actually ask for in the end?
Used PC builds: What are they worth? in Desktops ·
Hey,
I need an estimate on what these three parts are worth (motherboard + CPU + GPU).

I haven't been using my PC much lately—basically nothing—so I'm looking to offload these three items mentioned in the thread if they're actually worth any cash. 😁
I'll save whatever I get for a potential upgrade down the road.
The rig is about 4 years old, though it's seen very little actual use since then (maybe not the most important detail, but whatever, just thought I'd mention it)—nothing has been overclocked.
So, here’s the lineup. I won't even bother mentioning the 4 GB of DDR2 because I doubt I'd get enough for a pack of gum. 🤣

- motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD3P, AM2+ socket (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3107#ov)
- processor: AMD Phenom II X4, AM2+, 3.0GHz (http://products.amd.com/pages/Deskto...il.aspx?id=509)
- graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275, 896 MB GDDR3, 2400 MHz (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/pro...px?pid=3130#sp)

Thanks!

In that case? Absolutely not. My take was based on the full roster—this isn't even the same team without them.

I’m staying away from the Celtics because I don't want to be biased, but we all know what kind of game to expect here. 🤣

Personally, I think Washington is a much better squad than Cleveland—you could probably take them for the spread. I'm not sure where the line is sitting right now, but if they aren't getting the points, at least look for the moneyline.
That said, it’s the season opener. You have to see how everyone is breathing out there before you jump in.
